Absolutely bizarre. Every decision by Slot and his team was questionable tonight, but starting an unfit Isak was the strangest of them all. Some unfortunate injuries too, and some spirit from the players, but when we were on top it was when Szoboszlai was centre mid and as soon as he was moved back to right back the game slipped away.

Can't wait for the season to end and a new manager.

I think you're not giving PSG enough credit there, Hughes, they're a top class team. Excellent all over the pitch, imo they're the best team that has come on the scene since Barcelona team 10-12 years ago.

They're a great team, they will win it again, mate, they're the best team in Europe by a mile.
As for Klopp's team, they did beat them, but they were not as good as they are now.

PSG are a quality team, Shughes... they just didn't have to get out of neutral to beat us.

In the 1st leg, they should have scored 5/6 goals. They were really poor in front of goal.

This game, besides 20 minutes in the 2nd half where we looked dangerous, they simply just held us off quite easily.



I don't think they would have expected such an easy 2 rounds of CL football against us... but it's just that we are that bad.

When our manager sets the team up to defend the first game to avoid getting hammered, and then does same in the 2nd game, he is a manager that knew if we played the way he set them up all season, then that's an admission from the manager that this team could not get close to PSG on equal terms.

Last year there was next to nothing other than luck to divide the two teams. So what's changed, it's Slot's team and his tactics, that's what's changed. The guy's a fraud, dining out off the back of last season. Lost 17 games this season so far.

This wasn't about effort, we showed plenty of that. This was purely about quality. Virtually man for man they were better, and had the quality in the decisive areas when it mattered. We're well behind them, and would need four top quality first team players to compete over two legs with a team of their standard.



A new coach would make some difference, but they'd need the right players otherwise it'll be another fallow year next season.

I can't see how anyone who understands the game can defend some of the transfer business we've done for substandard players, or the lack of it in key areas of the pitch like centre mid.
