I think Gomez is going to be very important this season. He will get loads of minutes seeing games out at right back as both Bradley and Frimpong are not very good defensively.

Bulk i think Gomez would be free himself next summer so its our chance to cash in. I also feel Hughes/ Slot rate Guehi a lot more than the fanbase. While he's not the man mountain VVD and Ibou are, he's very press ressitant and could offer us an out when being pressed than we've now lost with TAA gone. Also a leader and cool head. In a way if you merged him and Ibou you have the perfect CB.

We would keep Gomez if he can stay fit for 2 games in a row. Gomez is a great lad and at times have been very good for us, but in recent years, we have seen a lot of mistakes creeping into his game.

Gomez can play CB, RB, LB and DM. He’s Mr versatile. Last season was a write off for him but prior he’s been terrific. I’d keep him regardless of Guehi, given that Frimpong is currently injured and Bradley is made of crisps.

I guess you can’t keep adding players without sacrificing others. Or your wage bill goes thru the roof. Gomez has been here a long time and his best stint was about 6 seasons ago . I think it’s to be commended that Slot is moving on the more injury prone players, it has to be done to progress and make the squad better.

Great in the dressing room which can never be underestimated. He was great today and the last 2 seasons when we challenged for the title he played the ten games needed at a high level. Love this guy.

Gomez is quality, what always impresses me about him is that he has these injuries or just times he's not chosen but he comes on and is always right at it, right at the level needed.

Yeh let’s get rid of Gomez, the lad cost us nothing, is happy playing his part from the bench has more experience than anyone we could buy and as been said he is quality when he comes on. Daft.
