As far as I'm aware nothing has changed since the Spurs game, people are still split on whether to let him go or not.
(IMO) I'm surprised nothing has happend because the stats are not stating and for people who love stats, not seeing that is a big concern.
22 Mar 2026 16:10:09
Absolute negligence.
We just drew at home against a team that is currently being trounced at their own ground by a team who started today in 17th place.
This club amazes me in the worst ways.
22 Mar 2026 16:12:43
When you say they are split on what to do, what do you mean specifically? Does that mean split on whether or not to make the change now, or split on making a change at all?
22 Mar 2026 16:17:32
If he doesn't go now, then I will not be supporting our club until he does. I understand this may upset the hard-core Slot fans (Florian), and some others who think loyalty should be permanent.
But he has been given ample opportunities, and still makes the same mistakes over and over. That is the sign of insanity, and I cannot take watching this dross any longer until changes are made!
22 Mar 2026 16:23:29
Thx, fields.
Maybe they forgot to press the refresh button. Or agent Arne has only gone and dropped last season's stats and overwritten this season, which begs the question: do they not watch games?!!!
Like I said, I'm resigned to it being end of the season...
but still like to get involved in all the messaging on here when there is a sniff that things may change...
22 Mar 2026 16:26:46
Looks as tho I picked a bad day to stop drinking.
22 Mar 2026 16:32:22
As93, I agree 100%. He should have been sacked after the PSV debacle, but at this point it is the very definition of negligence, in my view. How in the world can the board let this continue?
22 Mar 2026 16:36:31
That level of consistent indecision to me means he's here until the summer unfortunately, like it or not. Thanks Fields.
22 Mar 2026 16:45:55
A point against Wolves, Spurs and Brighton is simply not good enough. It was a blip, you could accept it. But it's a rot, 10 losses in a season and our form against the sides fighting relegation is abysmal.
I have no idea about him going home or anything else like that, so can only judge the results, and it just isn't good enough. We may scape 5th, because those around us are equally inept, but that would be more luck than substance.
If we want to salvage anything, we need to make a decision, get Gerrard in for the last few games only. They must not give it to him full time and get a boost until the summer.
Then we can restock, actually get the players fit and go from there.
I would say this is worse than Hodgson purely for the fact of the resources he was given. Hodgson was woeful and it is the lowest period for me as a red. But he had a pittance in comparison to Slot. We all thought we would dominate after the summer and instead we all just want the season to end sooner rather than later. And for any football fan, hope is the minimum I expect. Right now I'm not sure we could beat a U11 side.
22 Mar 2026 16:48:35
Simple solution - Slot goes, and whoever wanted to keep him goes as well.
22 Mar 2026 16:57:42
What Slot lacks this season is consistency. It's ruined the season. The board should be saying he's got the remaining games to save his job.
22 Mar 2026 17:01:44
If this is indeed true, I am not surprised one bit. I would go as far as saying that it's actually gone past negligence now. If we don't make Champions League next season (real possibility) and FSG have any sort of business acumen, they should not only sack Slot but Edwards and Hughes along with him.
22 Mar 2026 17:17:47
I don't even think he will go at the end of the season either, because even if you have never kicked a ball in your life, and your understanding of football only started when FSG took over, you still can't be dumb enough not to realise wasting a season, and then no Europe next season, is "ok" as part of a building phase. When just a simple, quick decision could have changed your fortunes!
Anyone else but Slot could have given a nice ten games left of a season boost, some energy, some fight, and we could
Have made 3rd.
But, as the posters say, pure negligence. What's the aim of this club, cos to me it's the board that, aka, show no fight. 9 out of 26, folks.
Embarrassing.
He's definitely staying.
22 Mar 2026 17:24:48
Looks like it's a bad day to stop sniffing glue.
22 Mar 2026 17:28:22
Don't waste your energy on Slot. He's not gonna get sacked before summer.
He's probably in a nightclub now, not thinking about Liverpool in the slightest.
22 Mar 2026 17:28:32
Slot has been consistent, I'll give him that.
22 Mar 2026 17:41:51
It's been a whole calendar year this Slot slump; he's not turning anything around ever.
22 Mar 2026 18:03:05
That's the best description I've heard for this season... Slot Slump.
Brilliant Kopcat. ?
22 Mar 2026 18:07:13
We're 24 points worse off than this time last season.
'Big' teams that have changed their manager - Man Utd are much better off, Spurs 7 points worse, Chelsea 5 points worse.
22 Mar 2026 18:16:45
It's way beyond negligence, and is now self-sabotage. 1 point out of Wolves, Spurs & Brighton is unacceptable. Slot should have been sacked last year. The fact we slumped to another pathetic, insipid defeat with him still in charge is nothing less than a disgrace.
22 Mar 2026 18:19:54
1 point from 9 against struggling teams should scream of no European football, but it looks like he's here till the bitter end of the season.
22 Mar 2026 18:33:11
Is it me or does it seem that everyone at the top has just shut up shop and is watching us sink?
22 Mar 2026 18:49:23
If we don't make CL football, will Alonso, or other top managers, be interested?
Apparently Alonso and his assistant have been sounding out Wirtz and Frimpong about the club.
22 Mar 2026 19:40:26
The whole situation is messed up. It sounds like Hughes and Edwards may well be going in the summer too, so why would they worry about Slot's failure?
FSG need to step in and get rid of all 3 now, or this situation is just going to get harder and harder to recover from.
22 Mar 2026 20:08:27
I don't mind losing. If you have had a go, put your best efforts in, but you lose, either because the other team was better or due to just not being your day, I can live with that.
It's the way we are losing that's bothering me, and has shifted me from supporting Slot to going, ok, time for a change.
22 Mar 2026 20:22:16
Shipley, my thoughts exactly. If they sack Slot, then they've made a mistake. If they stick with him, and he scrapes CL next season, it will be seen as some level of redemption. They seem to have their eyes closed, and their fingers firmly in their ears.
22 Mar 2026 21:23:40
Red-Flyer, I do not care if he wins the Champions League (which he won't) or the FA Cup (which he won't). He still has to go; his time is up.
There is no confidence in his ability to coach the team, as results have clearly shown he is out of his depth.
Liverpool FC is too big for him, so the sooner he goes the better for the club.
22 Mar 2026 22:34:59
I don't understand why FSG haven't stepped in and sacked all 3 culprits. Everyone can see the issues from a mile away, even other teams' fans I talk with. Just sack all 3 Stooges, please!
23 Mar 2026 08:45:19
They can't just sack all 3 immediately. Unfortunately, it's not a good look. It makes the club look very unstable, especially to potential new hires/transfers.
