ArAy, that’s a major over-exaggeration.
Under Hughes' tenure, we won the league in his first of two seasons, with a manager Hughes appointed. We had one bad season and then got rid of the manager.
If you think what Klopp has done has been dismantled, I would say be careful what you wish for. A dismantling of what Klopp built would mean we’re back in the Rodgers days, and that is very much not the case.

Hughes and Edwards have been spoken about quite a bit recently... but I've not seen anything about Ward.

I don’t see PSG, Man City or Real Madrid saying, “You know what, let’s get an ex-player in to handle an important part of the club.” Just get the best person for the role, not Gerrard or Fowler simply because they’re club legends. I’m sure the soon to be new owners, the 1892 Consortium, would be thinking along the same lines.
The dream would be Luis Campos, but let’s be honest, that’s unlikely at best. Tiago Pinto would be a shout, and there are some very good sporting directors in the Bundesliga.
If we are going down the appointment from within route, then for me there is only one option, and that’s Pedro Marques. He appears to be doing a fantastic job in his current role, which I feel could potentially translate well into this vacant position. His skill set also seems to marry well with Andoni’s philosophy and his work with talented young players.

Viktor, I'm just going by what I saw. Of course, Slot has my gratitude and appreciation for winning during what most thought was a transition year. But how much of that was due to his leadership and guidance? Didn't you get the feeling that the players were on auto-pilot the first half of the season until Slot started meddling and putting his tactical brilliance into play? And Slot's second year was full on Slot all the way.
We saw the results.
And there can be no greater condemnation than Klopp himself saying that LFC was nowhere ready for the title and that he expected Chelsea to win it (my paraphrasing).
