Goals galore, refs not giving in to the play acting, and some good football on show, especially by some of the "smaller" countries.
Finally an International tournament that's enjoyable.

It would be more enjoyable if they didn't stop the game every 20 minutes. Watching England last night, things were just starting to get interesting, and then, no, got to stop to have a drink. I'm glad fans are booing when it happens. Trained athletes, it's a joke.

Some great games so far, but the enjoyment taken away somewhat by the ridiculous rehydration breaks and the fragmented KO times with the time zone differences.

LFC begins pre-season training a fortnight tomorrow: 13 July 2026.
LFC pre-season tour of America: first game versus Sunderland: 25 July.
2nd Game Wrexham, Yankee Stadium, NY: Wednesday July 29.
3rd Game Leeds, Chicago Sunday 02 August.
LFC "Host" Monaco and Como: August 09 and 16 respectively.
23 August Newcastle away first PL game.
27 August Champions League Draw.
31 August Summer Transfer Window Closes.
There are also 6 European Nations games for England and all the other European countries! Home and away for England against: Spain, Croatia, Czechia.
These fixtures must be concluded before the new year 2027.
Throw in the Carabao Cup starts circa September.
Alonso and Chelsea will be the biggest benefactors, no European football for them, that is a "Massive" advantage for the new year and PL run in. Will Andoni field all his B team for all cup games, Europe included, and totally focus on the PL only, like Alonso who may do the same, not may but will!

Tiredness and more chance of injuries, loss of form, etc., with the more games you play.
Man Utd finished third this season. The season before, with European games, 15th; 12 places they moved up! Bournemouth finished 9th that season, finished 6th this season. Andoni still had an 18 game unbeaten run in the PL from last November, also had no European midweek football. The figures above support very clearly that no European football was a big, big factor.
Leicester won the PL in season 2015-16, the year before they finished 14th; no European Midweek games improved them by 13 places to win the PL.
Again, more proof of midweek rest at times during the season. Do you not think LFC could not get a similar bounce from no midweek CUP games? I expect Alonso to have a marked jump in PL places also. Would you not be happy to go all out for the Premier and forfeit in effect all the cup games for Andoni's bedding in season, as Shanks always said the league is ye bread and butter, half a loaf is better than none!

Tears in my eyes reading about Cody & his wife.
My daughter was 1hr old, all was fine & suddenly, for no reason she was in my arms not breathing!
We were so lucky that they got her back just in time & she is now a very happy, healthy 10 year old. I sometimes forget the promise i made to the man above whilst waiting for an update that night!
If we had lost her i have no clue if i would be here now, it all went through my head that.
I lived Cody & his wifes nightmare for 32 mins, my heart & prayers go out to them both ??

Thanks JK23, I count my lucky stars every day. It's the sudden news of those less fortunate, like Cody & his wife, that really brings it home.
No words will ever change what they're going through, but I hope the pain eases over time, even though the memory will be with them every day until they meet their son again. ❤️

Sorry, other cell was in charge of Harry earlier. I was having a nap because I had a stressful morning due to Captain Chaos brain cell making Little Harry put a Tic Tac up his nose, and a Smartie in his ear.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you have to agree a deal before you can speak to the player and his team?
{Ed078's Note - I believe you need the permission of the player's club to make an approach. It's hard to agree a deal if you haven't spoken to a player of their agent. There's a difference between a purchase price and an agreement with a player.

I honestly can't believe how many times this needs to be explained on this forum.
Clubs can speak to a player's agent before agreeing a transfer. They'll sound out if their client might be interested in the move and get an indication of the type of package they'd be looking for.
They cannot speak directly to the player without the club's permission.
