Morning Edd 001

What are your thoughts on Hoenes coming in as new boss?

Do you think it's a risky appointment? My personal feeling is he sounds like a breath of fresh air, completely detached from the club, with what sounds like all the right tools. His players respect him and his football is lfc all over.

Hope your well ed001 pal?
What's your opinion on Nagelsmann? To me he always seems full of himself he tries to be like Klopp but he hasn't got the charm or ability to be humble in any interview I've seen of him.
Another poster responded with he is the German equivalent of Bodgers. Would you agree with that?

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - I would agree with that totally. He is not someone I would even consider at all. Not a top manager for me at all.}

I'm trade marking Teutonic Bodgers.

Thanks Carra, info always appreciated as the same with the other ITKs.

My only gripe, if slot stays, is we have to listen to another 5 months of slot drooling over PSG.

0

29 Apr 2026 08:04:26
His salivatory sidequests would be the least of my worries.

3

29 Apr 2026 08:32:18
Yes thanks Carra always appreciate your posts such like Hughes and Edwards are clueless, just as Ed001 predicted, what a shame to see the undoing of Klopp's wonderful work

1

29 Apr 2026 09:49:34
He drools over PSG, but doesn't implement anything to be like them. Like extra training and hard work on and off the ball.

Spot on (again) Ed

If the board are even considering sticking with Slot and his staff then they need to be removed from their positions immediately by ownership.

The incompetence and arrogance being displayed by the people running the club is staggering.

Slot is a symptom, not the cause, but he has to go.

Hello ed1. As regards ireola he doesn't seem to be strongly linked to any managerial job at minute.lot of speculation that his family homesick and wants to move back to Spain. Last I can see on previous posts u seemed to think he maybe man United bound but that good while ago.

Do u know of any update on his next job? He would be my pick of next lfc manager if Enrique not available

Ed 001, banter chat only.bar yamal on the right side, for me there's nobody bar olise, if we coughed up enough.
A. Would he be willing?
B. Is that the ambition at the club presently?
C. Who would be your choice?

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - the ability is there with Olise, but his decision making is terrible, so many chances wasted after the ball gets to him. The worst is his work rate, he does nothing defensively, even if he gives the ball away. The big difference between PSG and Bayern last night was the work rate of the front four players. PSG's quartet chased and harried and won the ball back often, until they went 5-2 up and took their foot off the pedal. Bayern, on the other hand, are carrying Kane and Olise when they lose the ball. Kane just doesn't have the mobility to get around, and you really don't want him running himself into the ground chasing anyway. Olise just can't be bothered to track back, even when the ball is taken off his toe he just strolls. That is a worry to me as it causes other players to give up trying too. Not in a big game like last night, but in a normal league match that players are not hyped for. You can get away with that in the Bundesliga, but you can't in the Prem.

A. Not a clue. Don't know anyone connected closely with the lad to know sorry.

B. I would hope we would be looking at Diomande instead.

C. Diomande.}

Does YD work hard off the ball?

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - from what i have seen, yes, plus he is younger and so should be easier to mould into a grafter. Olise is peak now, there is no way he is just suddenly going to turn into a worker.}

5

29 Apr 2026 07:21:15
Ed001 I think Olise has bundles of talent the work ethic is a problem but another one for me was at palace playing in the Premier League where it is more intense and physical he seemed to miss a lot of games.
Also Ed PSG have a massive advantage in the champions league with this new format with the French league being so one sided they can sleep walk through the first half of the season ready to peak from the last 16.

Something we can't in our league going to make them hard to beat from the last 16 onwards every year. First part of the champions league now just seem a formality for nearly the same sides every year.

29 Apr 2026 08:16:14
Plus the financial outlay for Olise would be ridiculous. I also think he is a little one dimensional in how he plays.
My ideal summer signings would be
Tan Diomande
Jarrod Bowen
Elliot Anderson
Pedro Porro

Bring back Tsimikas took.

29 Apr 2026 08:51:16
I'd have Olise in our side, all day long. At this moment he'd pretty much walk into any side in the world. Never going to happen though.

0

29 Apr 2026 08:53:38
When you say Olise is "one dimensional", Todd, do you mean he's brilliant at scoring goals and assisting?

I’m gonna call it. Nobody knows what is happening about Slot. There is not one ITK that knows! Sorry, but it’s plain to see that it’s all guess work!

4

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed078's Note - so, by that logic, in order for you to "call it", you must be ITK to know that nobody is ITK?

13

29 Apr 2026 04:07:50
Things change in life. "Calling it" that no one can predict the future is hardly a revelation.

2

29 Apr 2026 05:50:17
Ahhhhh... Flange is the ultimate ITK then... Cause Stone "Flange" Cols says so...

0

29 Apr 2026 06:42:05
The ITKs have changed their tune more times than I've had hot dinners! Even a broken clock is right twice a day!

If there is a problem with leaking information at the club, then one way of dealing with it is to create lots of conflicting stories.

Don't worry about it.
It suggests sources are genuine, but they're being fed strange info.

1

29 Apr 2026 07:30:49
You do realise that up until the second the trigger is pulled, clubs will continue to explore multiple options, so numerous things can seem to be true at once. ITK's are relaying interpreted info, so it always comes with a dash of somebody's opinion on top. Even if you knew somebody on the board, opinions at that level still differ, so whilst Slot staying/going, Xabi, Hoeness, Nagelsmann may all be options, and discussions with all of them may be ongoing, even at board level, there's no definitive answer.

Even if I was best mates, Hogan, who wants Xabi, and you were mates with Edwards, who wants Slot, we would still have 2 different versions of the same story.

Don't take everything so literally; pinch of salt, read between the lines, use common sense, make your own mind up.

Maybe a rumours page isn't the best place for you Flange.

My thoughts are the club are flooding out loads of mis-information to try and find a mole.
Or else, doing it to muddy the water to try and hide what they are actually trying to do without the real news spreading.

KDLS

I think this is where I am... I no longer have a clue if Slot is staying or going, but I do think LFC know...

I think they are trying to find a mole as well as muddying the waters at the same time...

Can you imagine the media circus around our club if one of these stories is true... the same questions 3 or 4 times a week... reporters camped outside the training ground...

players getting chased by them... Slot's pressers... not a fan of the man, but it would be grossly unfair on him to put him through that...
Then the same would apply to the new man in charge getting chased everywhere...

Just seems all unnecessary when they could just blow it all away with one story fed to the press... Slot is staying...

It's like Life of Brian for football.
Guys are hailed as a messiah by other guys who believe everything they say. Even when it contradicts what another messiah says.
Then there's arguments about which messiah is correct, and how their information can be contradictory.
When you look at it from a distance, it is a genuinely comical situation.
That eagerness to be led, to believe everything, is a part of human nature that has always fascinated me.

I'm going to call it - you're a gob person.

29 Apr 2026 08:53:11
I can't fathom why people complain about rumours on a rumours site. We were spoilt with good info when Ed002 was still around but even then, things changed so fast in football that he got more than his fair share of things "wrong" too.

If there's one thing to take away from that fantastic game tonight it's the ability to be clinical in front of goal. How many chances have we had this season where we've fluffed our lines and could of ended games earlier.

Every time I watch PSG they are so clinical and put the ball with power in the corners. No harm in going out to them over two legs. Far superior side.

3

29 Apr 2026 03:01:13
PSG are a very good side, but they are far from invincible. I don't care what anyone says - any defence with Pacho, Hakimi and Safanov in it is able to be exploited.
We'd have given them a much tougher test if we hadn't had a cowardly manager in awe of them.

5

29 Apr 2026 05:53:20
Spot on, Lowe....
PSG could almost be compared to Rodgers... in that our plan was to always simply outscore the opposition.

We didn't attack PSG, and it became their easiest set of fixtures in the competition.

They didn't even get out of 1st gear against us.

The 2nd leg promises to be another goal fest though, 2 heavy weights slugging it out, can't wait. 😀

2 teams with little or no domestic competition are lighting it up in the CL.

How strange.

0

29 Apr 2026 09:16:45
Celtic should have been lighting up the CL for years then.

I've been told football is a game of two halves. I think we'll see the other "half" tomorrow when Arsenal play Atletico. Lol!

11

28 Apr 2026 22:43:36
The real winner from the PSG Bayern game is slot. He showed how to defend against PSG… we only conceded 4 over two legs, poor Bayern conceded 5 in one…. Well done slot, oh but Bayern did score 4 against them in one leg where as we scored one on 4 legs but hey we were just “unlucky”.

Slot the revolutionary?
