I'm just wondering what the point is in asking about players when we know we're getting a new manager in the summer. What if the new manager doesn't feel he is right for the setup he wants to implement? And if these are players bought without his input, how can they expect success on the pitch with such a transfer model? It's like telling someone to become a mechanic and choosing his tools for him, when you yourself know nothing about fixing cars.

That's why we have a head coach now instead of a manager, Bulk. The head coach is able to inform on the kind of player he needs but doesn't have final say as to the player who is actually brought in. We need an LB regardless though so getting one in makes sense.

We don't know we are getting a new manager in the summer Mr Incredible Bulk.
The ITKs here have said we are but they said Semenyo was done about an hour before he broke it was going to City. Not having a go at them or saying they're unreliable, but they have said certain things that haven't panned out.

My point is Dracred / Ravelston / Jari, is that Alonso (apparently) will be the new "head coach". So why are they looking at bringing players in when Slots not even got one toe out the door yet? Not to mention that both, or one of Edwards and Hughes could be following him. Then there's the coaching staff. Can this new player they want to buy be coached to the best of his abilities with the incoming staff, whoever they are?
It's all too bizarre of a model to work under if i'm honest. Can't say it's worked out too well for us this season. I know if i was in charge of the team, i would want to have the final say on who i am going to coach rather than some pencil pusher.
