I don't know what the issue is with Minteh. People complained Barcola isn't a right winger.

Minteh is.

People complain player X doesn't have Premier League experience or pace.

Minteh has both.

Is he a headline signing? No. Does he have a skillset we currently lack? Yes.

2. Minteh is muck, faiir, he has plenty of pace and energy, but there's absolutely no end product.

I think Minteh would b a good signing. Workaholic down the wing, and v good ability with it. Isak's best form came with Jacob Murphy on the wing at Newcastle, not a great player but worked non stop and delivered a lot of assists for Isak's goals with 1st time deliveries.

I don't know the situation as regards injury, that would be a red flag for the time being if he is out for a couple of months as has been reported.

Minteh is not even at a good enough level to play for Newcastle and yet he bid for him??? This transfer business is laughable. When did we turn from transfer market masters to absolute novices. Everyone else seems to able to do rapid business and sign players that actually enhance their squads. Minteh does nothing to our first 11 but does add quality off the bench we absolutely do not have but he won't be match sharp until December if recovery goes well so what's the point?

We've got idiots in our transfer room. its time to get them out.

He seems to fit the skill set required to play for AI. I think the biggest problem is that he isn't Salah, which isn't his fault.

If AI wants him then we should stop paying lip service to AI and actually back his judgement.

I assume any contract agreed would be a couple I'd weeks longer than the 2 months or so that he is out (impressed by every man and his dog's understanding of the severity of the injury and the recovery rimes).

I want, I want, I want it now, I want it now... Oh, I don't want that. Good to see everybody getting behind the coach, the team and the club. Gives you a fuzzy, warm glow inside, eh?

I read somewhere further down that it reflects a change in strategy - not the goalscoring wingers like Salah and Mane, but the providing wingers for the CFs to put away.

I swear Minteh is out injured for 2-3 months? We had plenty of time to target him before he picked up that injury too, allowing Iraola to at least work with him in pre season training, yet we go for him when he is out injured? If this doesn't scream of panic, then I don't know what does. We have 10 days of the window left, and we're resorting to this.

I must admit, I am not a big fan of Minteh, to me he is exceedingly average, but there was a time to get him, now is not it. No idea what is going on. Not particularly enthused by the price for Barcola, but do like the player. No idea who Mbaye even is, so can't see anything to that.

We have ambled for quite a while, starting to fear Iraola is going to have to get very creative. Alisson and Van Dijk on the last year of their contracts too, so going to have to replace both next window, in addition to strengthening what should have been strengthened this season. That is an awful lot of work.

A lot of people saying FSG don't want to spend, knowing they will sell the club in a year, but that makes no sense to me. Liverpool spend what they generate, not what FSG pump in, so FSG don't lose any of their own money. How would that benefit FSG to leave Liverpool at a weaker point, rather than in a position of power.

This window has been a joke. Love Koumas, McConnell, and Nyoni, but would any of them get into a Prem team?? Letting Jones go without a replacement feels like playing with fire. Hughes, Edwards have let us down majorly and will not feel the repercussions because they are already off somewhere else, or have an agreement to be elsewhere in a matter of weeks. Yet, we allowed them to be in a position to sort out our issues, despite knowing they were negotiating elsewhere, in the short term.

So many mistakes, and it feels like it could really set us back.

Minteh’s numbers are way below average.

Minteh is a strange one Ed don't you think? Given he is out injured until November/December and his goals and assists over last 2 seasons are not great at all. It seems like a bit desperate at this stage?
