Sesko's agent has informed us he would prioritise a move to Liverpool if it came about.
We have little interest in the player currently, it's all or nothing with Isak.
Nathan Collins has been spoken about glowingly as an alternative to Guehi. Steve Parish is accepting no bids as it stands, tough cookie to work with.

Honestly Sesko looks a decent player. Isak is world class but not at the level of Wirtz (who I would have broke any bank in the world) . I truly hope we don’t overpay for Isak.

As much as I would love to see a irishman playing for lfc, collins would be underwhelming signing for cb. In saying that there does seem a dearth of top cbs about, not sure who I would go for tbh if guehi doesn't sign.

Not the first time on this site that collins has been linked to us. He's a good young but experienced prem player. In my opinion, better currently than Quansah but not as good as virgil or Ibou. But if he plays with better players, then has the potential to improve too. He's a good baller, good position sense, lacks pace and plays as a cb or right sided cb. His cousin and dad both were once on lfc books. If not more than 30m, then worth a bid. Overall, would be a safe, decent acquisition.

We have our project player in ekitike we need the finished article in isak . Too many fans get wrapped up in costs
If we can afford him get him simple as . He will be the difference for us next year if we sign him from having a good season to having a great one .
Reminds me of when arl whiskey nose took robin van persie from arsenal but the difference is we are getting a top quality player heading in to his prime not on the back end of it.

Well I have faith in Slot to coach players to get better and improve the squad over all and it would be decent to expect a Republic of Ireland international who seems to be a Redman to make the effort to take on board what our great main man puts forward especially when Nathan Collins has the height and ballplaying skills but saying that his pace is not the best from the games I’ve seen live.

Sesko is a decent player but I'm not sure what the point would be in selling Darwin and then bringing him in for more money? He is very similar as a player, just a little bit younger. If you're going to go by that logic, then we should save even more money, convince Darwin to stay and spend the remainder on Fofana and whichever center half is the flavour of the week here.
Isak is being targeted because there is a definite plan as to how he will complete our attack, not just because we want another number 9. There is definite logic in our Isak or nothing plan, though in the slim chance that he doesn't come I am imagining that Ekitike will play furthest forward and we will get a winger.
I just can't imagine that we wouldn't get Isak at this point, apart from handing in a transfer request, which I think he could very likely do if push came to shove, he has done everything possible to force a move and I don't even know if the fans would have him back at this point. It's already reached the point of no return, given what a mess Newcastle are right now I have no clue how they would even begin to convince him to knuckle down and stay for the season, and I would hope we aren't going to leave the player in the lurch either.

I mean, it’s a weird scenario but for a decade every signing they’ve made, including some absolute slam dunks, have gotten worse.
There is a culture that accepts players amassing £70k in late fines, doing TitTok dances after losing and the main player dying his hair city blue before the derby.
If that is allowed to happen, the rot is deep.
Imagine that at Liverpool, Milner, Hendo, Robbo, Ali, Virg or Mo would’ve booted the legs off them in training. Dying your hair City blue the week Pep hints he wants to sign you.

@25, I tend to agree with you about Sesko’s desire to go where the money is. That said, for the first time in eons, it seems that players and agents think Liverpool is the place for money (as well as the footy) . You can’t really spend a quarter of a billion in 8 weeks without attracting the attention of the greedy.
{Ed025's Note - i would say you were the top attraction in the world of football now WDW, you have signed some great players but i think you will have to be careful not to exceed the PSR limit mate, these top players are not playing for buttons and i still think the defence and possibly even midfield has issues that need addressing, it must be great for the supporters to see how the club is progressing though..
