So, sounds like Atletico Madrid are after Andrew Robertson and consider him a high priority signing.
I know this will be unpopular, but I genuinely believe we should take any offer around £50 million. Don't get me wrong, the man is a legend at the club, worked his socks off time and again, with little to no rotation. Was bought for £8 million and became one of the best left backs this club has ever had.
But, his legs have gone and his 'dip in form' has now has proven to be a regression. These last 2 years, Robbo has been a shadow of himself. He is making so many costly mistakes, and I feel the writing is on the wall for him. I am honestly impressed he held such high standards for so long, with Klopp refusing to rotate him, even when he clearly needed it and Tsimikas was available.
For me, we need to avoid another contractual issue, with Robbo having 1 year left, I believe. Best to sell, with our best wishes, and use the money to reinforce either the left back position, or somewhere else entirely. I would also sell Tsimikas, as I feel even when available, he doesn't provide a viable alternative, and merely plays when the competition is of less value.
Yes, this will result in a massive reshuffle of the squad, especially when you consider the numbers of first teamers leaving. However, this would put a stamp on the side, that this is Slot's team now. Slot will utilise players he believes fit his vision. Maybe then we would get more rotation, and be able to compete on all fronts, rather than lose momentum at the end.
Exciting times, though.

£50 million!? I hope that's a typo.

We are not getting 50m for a 30 year old fullback. don't expect to make back any money on Robbo. He should be allowed to leave on his own terms for the service he has put in. I personally think we will see a revitalised Robbo who can rotate with Kerkez and not have to play 2 games a week. More importantly don't underestimate he's role in the dressing room as part of the leadership group.

Big player in the dressing room, a serial winner too.
Huge miss, but like you say, his legs are totally shot in the Prem.
Was it Trippier who went to Atletico in the slip of his career, and got another 2 years out of his game at the top level. I think Andy could do the same there. He’s a top class fullback I can see it being a great move for him.

50.maybe I've missed something but no club is paying thag for robbo. Be lucky to get 20.
14 Jun 2025 14:20:01
50m? With one year left on his deal? I doubt Atleti will take that deal, personally.
14 Jun 2025 14:21:51
£50 million? Andrew Robertson is a 31 year old left back with one year left on his contract.
If a deal materialises, we will most likely be looking at a fixed figure of €25 million or £21.27 million in our currency. With €5 million or £4.25 million in add ons, which I think is a good deal, all things considered.
14 Jun 2025 14:32:55
Love your sense of humour, Mango! 50 million. Chuckle.
14 Jun 2025 14:33:33
Mental how we won a league with only 10 men playing week in week out against 11.
14 Jun 2025 14:43:04
Yeah, was supposed to say £30 million, not £50 million. I was reading about Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen, and the quoted price, and wrote down his valuation instead. Although, I certainly wouldn't turn down £50 million for Robbo, if that was Atletico's first offer :P.
14 Jun 2025 14:52:26
I think it will be around £15-£20m on the basis of age and 1 year left.
If Robbo really wants to go so be it, we owe it to him, but he’s worth more than that in my opinion in our team as it goes through quite a lot of change.
14 Jun 2025 14:57:58
Nah keep him around he can show kerkez the ropes if he signs, good to have a experienced player around for.
14 Jun 2025 14:59:06
I love Robbo and would be sad to see the lad leave but his best days are behind him. If we can get 20 mil + then we should.
14 Jun 2025 15:06:58
10 million would be a good deal with regards to his age and contract. Surprised because athletico have a lot of money yet want to buy a declining aging left back.
14 Jun 2025 15:19:23
I agree with most above. Robbo has earned the right to leave on his own terms. If he wants to leave, then we should listen to the offer at hand. But if he wants to stay, I think we should be alright with it too. We already have Kerkez who would be first choice and Beck is coming back too. His minutes with us would be much better managed. And like many has said, he is a key figure kn the dressing room and that shouldn't be underestimated as well.
14 Jun 2025 15:25:21
Someones been playing too much football manager.
try 10m, at best, probably the 8 we paid for him.
14 Jun 2025 15:51:46
I don't know, I think we really need his leadership in the team, and he can still produce the goods as long as he isn't playing two or three games a week. If he plays two or three games a month I think he can still be an excellent player for us, and his influence off the field is crucial. If he really wants to leave then he deserves his move, but if he isn't desperate to go I would want to keep him. I don't know about selling both him and tsimikas though, surely it would be one or the other, we can't be changing all of our personnel in one position at one go, surely?
14 Jun 2025 16:08:00
PB, I agree if we had to sell one of them it'd be tsimikas but there's going to be more interest in Robbo id of thought.
14 Jun 2025 16:15:58
mango 50m for robbo not happening in any world. maybe 5m is more likely.
14 Jun 2025 16:21:09
£50 come on mango mate. £10 I’d be happy with and we’ve made a profit.
14 Jun 2025 16:31:57
I'd have thought with VVD, Alli, Salah provide plenty of leadership on top of Slot and his coaches. We had the same when Hendo was leaving in that many insisted he should be kept because of his leadership but it's worked out well for the club since. Robbo leaves and someone else will become a 'leader' like Wirtz maybe, a world class winner. Surely we should taking the money if it allows us balance the books and continue the rebuild or do we revert back to Klopps time of giving too big of contracts and maybe being overly loyal to players. Plus Robbos on something like 150k per week, a huge salary like Chiesa for a guy who'll sit on the bench. 150k per week to be a 'leader' seems like money that could be spent better, maybe improve Diaz contract?
14 Jun 2025 18:31:33
£10m gets you a player with weeks left when dealing with Hughes.
14 Jun 2025 20:34:14
Just suppose Robbo doesn't want to go?
14 Jun 2025 23:08:43
The dressing room stuff is a myth. It was an excuse used for Henderson and Milner when they were past their best and we haven’t missed either of them one bit.
14 Jun 2025 23:10:51
I was thinking just the same Flash. I agree that his legs have gone but I think he’d be a great captain of a young League or FA Cup team and would be great to have around the club on and off the pitch - a role Millie did very, very well.
If and when he does go I sincerely hope the club don’t start haggling over a price -I’d be happy to see him go on a free - he recouped most of the £9m we paid for him when he gave Messi a backhander, let alone all his other contributions.
