In addition to the Slot news, I have some more news which people will not like.
Unfortunately this will not be a big summer for signings, while Robinson, Salah & Konate will leave on frees, we will only be signing 2 players who will fit into the first team.
The 1st player to sign will be Adam Wharton for 80 million plus, that is 75% completed.
The 2nd player will be Sarah's replacement & contrary to rumours that will not be Diomande or Barcola, in fact my contact does not have much information regarding names but was fairly confident it would not be either of those 2 lads.
Slot has been told to utilise the youth players in our system (Rio, Leoni, Bradley (when fit), Danns (when fit), McConnell, Stefan B, Nyoni).
27 May 2026 22:26:14
We have plenty of money to spend. We are 5th in net spend over the last two seasons. Spurs are top. No chance we pay 80m for Wharton. £60m is my guess.
27 May 2026 22:29:57
A summer of dross ahead.
27 May 2026 22:32:21
Sack the person who gave Slot that direction lol. 3 of those kids have chronic injury issues and one of them is coming back from an ACL.
:D
27 May 2026 22:36:52
Good, Slot doesn't deserve it, save it for Enrique next Summer!
27 May 2026 22:37:37
I like this news way more than the Slot news Guy. If you are indeed correct on Slot, I hope this is what we do. In my opinion, we anyway only need a midfielder and a winger, rest all can be easily managed by using the squad and the youngsters more effectively.
27 May 2026 22:38:13
Is Sarah the office manager? Obviously, it is a big job and we need to recruit prudently instead of going on Indeed.
27 May 2026 22:41:31
Hey GG, it's being so cheerful that keeps you going.
27 May 2026 22:42:47
Slot seemed very pumped about the transfer window. Seems a bit odd if that's all we are doing.
Then again, he made me watch the most horrific football I ever had to watch and told me it was mostly great with unlucky moments.
So I can believe what you say.
27 May 2026 22:48:54
If Konate leaves, we would be stupid not to at least sign a right back along with those two you mentioned.
Gomez for CB cover, we can't end up rotating Jones and Szobo there again for 30 games of a season.
27 May 2026 22:51:34
I expect they will spend a couple of hundred million great British pounds, not including sales. You can't claim transition and stop halfway through unless your revenues have dried up, which is unlikely.
27 May 2026 23:00:20
Even though I don't believe this rumour at all, I'll entertain it...
Slot couldn't get a tune out of the team with senior players and multiple signings, and you think he'll achieve anything with injury-prone youth and 2 signings?
Makes no logical sense. This rumour is rubbish.
27 May 2026 23:00:46
Poor Sarah, why's she being replaced?
27 May 2026 23:09:50
Wharton and Diomande? Bring on, I'm chuffed for those 2, Wharton alone helps us immensely in possession. Diomande can provide the trickery and pace that we lacked last season, but I'm a bit disappointed if that's all, no RB purchase, no LW purchase too.
27 May 2026 23:15:27
Robinson and Sarah. They might have stayed if Conte was coming. More drivel.
27 May 2026 23:20:40
Vik makes me chuckle!
He leaps on any bit of negative news from any supposed ITK and takes it as gospel, and then the positive ITKs he pooh-poohs!
27 May 2026 23:22:18
The named youngsters really aren't good enough. Rio yes but Nyoni is nowhere near first team.
27 May 2026 23:24:41
I'm sorry but I don't believe any of this.
27 May 2026 23:27:02
Be another huge summer as the big wigs justify their position defending Slot. I have no doubt in this, whether it works or not. That's where my doubt sits.
27 May 2026 23:30:25
There is simply no way we only sign Wharton and a Winger (be it Diomande, Barcola, or your mystery 3rd option).
We are most likely selling Curtis, Wharton will replace him roughly, but our midfield was already too feeble, they surely bring in a Sangare/Camara type.
In the attack we were already short of options and are losing "Sarah". We will need to bring in another body as Ekitike will be out for most of the season and Chiesa will be shown the door.
Our ownership, while daft, is not so daft as to suggest any of those youth players (bar Connor Bradley, an established first teamer -- not youth) can fill the necessary holes.
Also, doubt Konate leaves as it stands, but if he does we sign a CB.
27 May 2026 23:43:09
Each new poster is like watching Monty Python: "And now for something completely different."
27 May 2026 23:41:05
Victor has become the reincarnation of NegativeWalter.
28 May 2026 00:21:26
This guy is a wind-up merchant. ?
28 May 2026 02:06:29
We're desperate if Danns is being relied upon.
28 May 2026 02:30:01
Not if he eats a cow pie first, Rigsby.
28 May 2026 05:21:48
Who's Robinson? Anne Robinson? And Sarah must be Sarah Ferguson if we are talking famous Reds.
28 May 2026 01:10:12
@Red in Belfast, Sarah is a transient employee of the strip club in Ibiza Slot often visits.
28 May 2026 06:48:39
You're telling me a team that's short 4/5 players now and about to lose another possible 6/7 players is gonna only bring in 2 players? I don't care what anyone says, but I've nvr heard so much scutter. ?
Outs.
Salah,
Robbo
Cheisa
Jones??
Endo??
Konate??
Gomez??
28 May 2026 06:52:35
Second thoughts, I love this rumour. We all know how Slot has so much time for the youth players and their development. Minimal transfers, play the youth. Genius ploy to get rid of Slot.
28 May 2026 06:54:53
Utter rubbish.
28 May 2026 07:16:35
With Robbo and Mo definitely leaving and Konate and Jones reasonably likely to leave and possibly Endo and Chiesa too, then just buying TWharton and Diomande not only doesn't address the issues we've had last season, it also leaves us considerably weaker in other areas of the team / squad.
Of course I'm responding to an opinion in the OP, and I have to say I'm not persuaded it's correct, but, on the off chance the scenario put forward actually occurs, then next season isn't going to be a good watch.
28 May 2026 07:24:17
Sorry but I don't believe @guy, as I'm made to believe that we will go in for 2 elite wingers as I know that Gordon was holding out for us to come in but we have informed him that we are looking at other targets... ie: Diomande Barcola....
28 May 2026 07:28:35
Robinson and Sarah are leaving? That is indeed terrible news.
28 May 2026 07:30:18
Dammit, I really wanted Sarah to stay. Has everyone chipped in to her leaving do, Kitty?
28 May 2026 07:35:05
Jane from Finance is tipped for the new Right back vacancy. There's been a bit of a fall out between her and Mark, because Mark thinks he has more experience.
28 May 2026 07:27:06
Guy, why are you so bitter? why would you say such things to good people? Is it just because your brother Graham got the part in the Goodies and you didn't? You have to let that go for all our sakes!!
28 May 2026 07:54:17
Can Sarah play RB?
28 May 2026 07:56:29
Is it possible to mute people on here?
This fella is spouting absolute wham in numerous posts and threads; I'd rather watch a Slot presser, as that'd make more sense.
28 May 2026 08:01:34
Hi Barry, Sarah (RB/RW) has taken early retirement and is currently weighing up relocating to Benidorm to live out her final days in the sun.
28 May 2026 08:04:58
Why do Guy's posts have such a Neily flavour to them?
28 May 2026 08:15:28
I'm standing in front of the Shankly Gates from 10:00am. I'm going to make some banners and will protest. We must take strong, decisive action. We must Save Our Sarah. Her unfair dismissal will not go unpunished!!!
28 May 2026 08:19:05
A year of dross with slop.
28 May 2026 08:19:15
I've signed Sarah's card. Who do I pass it onto now?
28 May 2026 08:27:28
Honestly, if we sell Jones and keep MacAllister, allow yet another first team player to leave on a free transfer and don't sign at least a RB, CM, CF and RW, and keep a man who is day by day destroying everything we built up over the past ten years, then I'm done with absolutely shambles.
28 May 2026 08:38:39
My friend, literally every man and his dog is reporting that we're going for Barcola or Diomande this summer. Fabrizio says Barcola, Ornstein says Diomande, the ITK's here all agree etc.
If you ask me, you're just hedging your bets that we fail to pull off either deal so you can claim you were correct all along, and that we were never even interested.
28 May 2026 08:47:48
Edwards is running the show and thinks he has all the answers. FSG have bought into that reality, since they too believe that data and analysis of patterns can give LFC a leading edge.
What we are seeing is a total commitment to a way of doing things. In this reality, there is no figurehead, no leader of men, only 0's and 1's filtered through Edwards and his team.
The league title temporarily proved that this approach could work, or at least that's what they thought, but what we are now seeing is a power-hungry individual who is so sure of his methods that he believes them to be superior to what someone like Jurgen can offer.
Edwards always wanted this much autonomy and power, and since he now has his yes men (Hughes and Slot), he has no pushback, other than from the fans. Do not expect him to concede anytime soon.
28 May 2026 09:04:28
Made up nonsense!! Doesn't even get our departing legendary LB name correct.
Huge red flag.
28 May 2026 09:35:00
To be fair, not doing enough in the transfer window sounds exactly like something we would do (we've done that before plenty of times) and given that neither of Endo or Chiesa played that much it's entirely plausible that they would not be replaced, if Jones leaves his place is taken by Nyoni. As for Robertson, his place is taken by Tsimikas, so again, so it's entirely plausible that no replacements are sought. My view is also that Diomande ends up at PSG, and that Barcola probably ends up at Bayern (they're looking for a winger and you have to ask, would Barcola, who has no connections with Liverpool, prefer to join a winning side like Bayern or Arne Slot's bin fire? Any reasonable objective independent observer would say Bayern are the better choice at this point).
We'll end up buying some second rate dross like Nusa or Minteh. Honestly, don't think we'd replace Konate if he left either as Gomez is still here. As for squad size, Slot was saying he preferred working with a smaller squad, and he'll have what he wants, so I don't want to hear any more excuses out of him. Only other transfers I'd see us making are for some additional Dutch dross like Dumfries or Koopmeiners as "market opportunities". I've already written next season off as far as it goes.
28 May 2026 09:42:05
If you've written it off, you don't have much just cause to complain about it next year since that's what you have come to expect from our club, Viktor.
28 May 2026 09:58:53
Guy, what does your contact do for a living, apart from feed you with rubbish?
28 May 2026 10:16:18
Klopp was saying the club's identity will be destroyed if they go stupid on transfers, he was saying the Edwards formula was key over transfers. They picked up gems with raw potential like Salah, 38m Mane 34 m and Robbo 8m, they sell Coutinho for 142m and get Vvd and Ali for 140 m, this was genious. Pair that with Klopp's coaching and personality and playing style and there's the identity he talked of. Klopp gone, Hughes and Slot in, and boom. Slot or Hughes want ready made stars and over indulge on Wirtz and Isak and wtf is Frimpong all about?
Now talk of Slot's whining about players out etc and injuries. Don't matter, mate, you wanted the players you knew it was sell to buy you coached low impact to save on injuries. It's all on him, if you ask his answer to all of that is go on the attack to mask over his inability to develop and coach players to be better, that's why he needs ready made stars. He attacked players like Salah through Hughes and demanded loyalty to him, he's cried like a baby and played victim and scapegoated Salah.
Watching the pain in Salah to be leaving and knowing Slot and Hughes played a massive role in it for me underlines the massive difference between Slot and Klopp. Klopp made Salah, Mane, Robbo, Trent, Bobby superstars and better players, Slot's the exact opposite, he will never in a million years get close to that. I can not get where the club is coming from staying loyal to Slot. Every inch of the identity Klopp talked of is gone within 1 season under the Slot Hughes formula.
If FSG back Slot and Hughes then it's a huge huge mistake, they just indulge fan hype through links to top stars, there is no way Slot can coach players to be better, he just wants ready made stars. Slot's the opposite of the Identity Klopp talked of. I don't get why FSG are so blind to this idiot who masks his inability to coach by complaining and throwing one of the best players in the world in the last 5 years under the bus. Salah leaving in the manner he has and Slot's hand in it is a bad bad omen.
28 May 2026 11:13:22
The scary thing people (grown men) actually believe this BS.
28 May 2026 12:29:48
I've also signed Sarah's card and put in a not insignificant deposit. I hope you know. At my age it's a hell of a stretch to do so. And, believe you me, I did stretch.
28 May 2026 13:16:41
Cow rubbish is an understatement as cow rubbish is useful.
29 May 2026 04:07:01
@Rigsby ???? The Danns comment made me laugh a lot.
Not only was it meant, but it was actually funnier than the unintentional stuff that we are increasingly getting on here.
