{Ed002's Note - Manchester City are looking for James Milner to agree a new contract be he won't. There is interest from Valencia, Inter and from Liverpool - his wage demands might be an issue.}

Cheers mate. Take it he ain't happy at Citeh with not being a regular starter.

{Ed001's Note - he is looking for a regular start.}

Ok mate ta. Not sure we can offer him a more regular starting berth than them Tbh. Not sure who we would leave out?

A question for Ed001 if you don't mind:
Do you think Milner would be likely to get a regular start at Liverpool? Would it depend on other players leaving in the summer, e.g. Lucas? Do you think Milner might make a good DM, for example?

There is no doubt he's a very good player but he seems to have become a bit of a utility man.

LFC already have pretty decent developing WB's and wingers, and Hendo and so he's not likely to get a start there regularly, surely?
What position do you think BR has in mind for him?

{Ed001's Note - I don't think Milner is good enough to deserve a regular start for us, but I am sure he would only sign if guaranteed one. He doesn't have the defensive discipline to play a holding role. I believe he is seen as a utility player, someone who can be shifted around on the pitch when needed.}

Cheers Ed, and a quick follow up question:
I imagine there won't be a lot to spend in the summer, so what do you think of the wisdom of adding a utility player on fairly high wages, when it could be argued we have clearer priorities such as striker and gk?
I'm wondering if the transfer committee are making a poor decision with this potential signing?

{Ed001's Note - our wage bill will be cut massively with our highest earner leaving, plus Johnson and most likely a few others, so it does give a bit of wiggle room. Personally I am not convinced Milner is needed, but the club see a need for him.}

I see him filling in the right side berth in away games and against the big teams. More defensively minded than Markovic and Ibe.

Im with Ed on this one, just not really what we need, seems an odd signing as he isn't a better winger than what we have and not a very good centre midfielder either.

He's been City's best player this season begind Aguero and Silva, his work rate is amazing and his versatility is a great asset.For me he is much better than Allen in the middle and better than Markovic outwide, cracking free transfer.
