We should pull out if any Diamonde deal. He won't have a great season post WC anyway as all these players will come knackered. Buy him for 50million in summer of 2027.

Agree2

25 Jun 2026 18:07:55
Who is going to own up and admit they let there village idiot loose on internet?

25 Jun 2026 19:00:04
El Hadji-Diouf was signed on the back of a good World Cup Tournament for Senegal. He ended up a duffer as well, and a bad egg eventually.

Diamonde was poor versus Germany just a few games ago.

Rayan (19, 20 this August) all day long, he has a release clause of circa £130 million, £100 for Mo, and a possible World Class talent for circa £30 million.

25 Jun 2026 19:39:21
The only village I know full of idiots is Yorkshire. So now the only question is, who let you use?

25 Jun 2026 19:46:03
I can't believe what I am reading.....Diomande was at threat v Germany and created a goal. Yes, his touch let him down, but he was an outlet.

We are not signing based on this WC, and to suggest we can sign him the following for half the amount is idiotic.

If we don't sign him some other big fish will come along and snap him up this summer.

25 Jun 2026 20:45:27
Well, Wirtz, Yorkshire is a county, not a village.

25 Jun 2026 21:36:20
Diomande another assist already in first half tonight.

25 Jun 2026 22:09:38
He looks rapid and seems to clock up the assists. As you'd expect, I guess, though he looks raw, but it's hard to form a view given the poor quality of his team mates and the opposition.

25 Jun 2026 22:34:31
Just started a thread on Diomande - I'm currently not convinced of the 109m plus price tag - I think it's a case of LFC want to get him B4 he goes to Real Madrid, PSG or Barcelona and they stick a stupidly high release clause into his contract! No doubt he has the talent, but needs to do more if we are seeing him as a direct MobSakah replacement - unless it's the case of thinking Diomande, Wurtz, Ekitike and Isak would share the goals round to cover for what MobSakah produced on a consistent basis?

25 Jun 2026 23:26:12
007, what do you mean £100 for Mo? Mo who? I'm confused.

26 Jun 2026 00:35:40
El Hadji-Diouf was donkeys years ago, 007, and if you knew anything you'd know that we'd already agreed the deal before the World Cup. In fact, Houllier even said so in an interview after we'd signed him, and he said he would've cost us a lot more had we tried to sign him after the World Cup.

Anyway, based on your logic, if we get Diomande for £100m then he's actually free because we are getting £100m for Mo.

I don't know how we are getting £100m for Mo when we let him go for nothing, but maybe you know something we don't?

As for the OP, what if we don't sign Diomande now and he has a great season and becomes the next Mbappe, Vini Jr? Then he'd cost double.

Get him in now and coach him properly to fulfil his potential, because his potential has no limits.

26 Jun 2026 02:53:49
1. The El Haji Diouf deal was agreed BEFORE the World Cup ever started.

2. Diomande's signing has absolutely nothing to do with the world cup whatsoever.

3. There's a large group of muppets on here judging Diomande based off the 1 or 2 World Cup games they've seen him play, which is beyond hilarious.

Get your coats, the lot of you.

26 Jun 2026 10:15:28
Absolutely Chewy, it does my head in. People love to change the past and twist the present to suit some kind of narrative.

26 Jun 2026 13:03:18
And some said it was nice to see Harry back.

28 Jun 2026 07:36:19
To be fair, if we could actually get him for $50mil next summer then I'd be all over that lol.

24 Jun 2026 01:32:16
Ghana's Calub Yirenkyi. His club wants a record fee of £25m. Only 20. Scouted by us many times. Would offer great value in the market. Did anybody watch him tonight against England?

Agree1

24 Jun 2026 11:49:45
Tidy little player that has already impressed the Liverpool scouts at youth level. We asked about him in January, apparently, while we were also looking at Bouaddi and his contract situation.

Jan Molby loves him btw. He was mentioning him on a podcast recently.

23 Jun 2026 19:52:20
Ok I will say it, Diamonde does not look 19. No way he is 19.

Agree1

23 Jun 2026 20:42:11
Do you think he's a fake age so he could play a year or two down teenage/ youth years??!!. ???✌

24 Jun 2026 00:39:09
Bit of dog whistle racism from the OP there.

{Ed078's Note - really? I'm the biggest anti-racist I know, and I never got that vibe. Then again, I am such a sweet summer child.

24 Jun 2026 02:28:25
Nah, no racism, just plain old say what I see. Can't ever tell, and tbh generally age fraud happens, so players can easily move into Europe. It's not unheard of. In fact, as recent as last FIFA Under-17 WC, a certain team was caught for age fraud.

24 Jun 2026 08:21:02
Wasn't this the rumour with Kanu back in the day.

24 Jun 2026 13:08:50
Get a grip VV!

24 Jun 2026 14:06:06
Wasn't there some rumours about Barca lying about Yamals age during his time in La Masia?

24 Jun 2026 17:57:27
He doesn't look 19, but his age etc. would have been verified before contracts signed with Leipzig!!! I'm not sure he is worth the over £100m price tag - yes he's had a good season, but realistically he is in the 40m bracket for current market! Don't get me wrong, he has the talent for sure, but I just don't see his performance being consistent enough in Premier League to justify that price rag.

25 Jun 2026 09:18:10
Yeah, they reckoned Kanu was about 10 years older than he claimed, which I fully buy into. Jay Jay Okocha too. They thought Obafemi Martins was at least 6 or 7 years older as well. It's a pretty common practice in Nigeria. The U17 Nigerian team once had a whole squad's worth of players disqualified from the AFCON because they were older than 17! ? Testing did become stricter over the years, but it hasn't deterred attempts of age doping.

Cameroon had 30 odd players sent home from their U17 squad in 2023.

In Diomandes's defence, he has extremely low body fat, pronounced features, and a high hairline, which would make you look older no matter your age.

25 Jun 2026 09:28:21
Could be opposite, like Arjen Robben. When he was 30 he looked exactly like he did when he was 19. Trouble was, when he was 19, he looked exactly like a 30 year old.

22 Jun 2026 22:31:00
Malo Gusto could be on his way out of Chelsea. Is he worth taking a punt or not good enough?

Agree0

23 Jun 2026 06:08:01
Not worth a punt, no.

23 Jun 2026 09:08:31
No thank you.

23 Jun 2026 14:29:09
Only Punt he's worth is an NFL one.

23 Jun 2026 17:03:29
Not one at Henley on Thames? What what...

24 Jun 2026 12:54:50
He's better than any right back we have currently.

24 Jun 2026 16:09:05
For the £75m that Chelsea apparently want, I can't see anybody 'taking a punt'.

22 Jun 2026 22:12:02
Lucas Bergvall is now a name on our midfield list. Could be a decent squad player.

Agree1

22 Jun 2026 23:51:33
Wants to leave Spurs for a new challenge and due to limited opportunities so I don't think he comes to us.

23 Jun 2026 09:10:40
I think he could be a decent squad player at best too.
But if he wants more game time, LFC won't be the place for him.

Brighton could be a good place for him, or even Brentford possibly.

Pure coincidence, his name starts with a B along with the teams that I named. ????

23 Jun 2026 20:11:26
Not good enough to start for Liverpool... wide pass for me. However, he is better than Jones, so squad wise maybe at a cheap price. But no.

23 Jun 2026 22:41:39
He's horrendous. I have zero clue as to why you would think otherwise.

22 Jun 2026 17:07:23
What’s everyone’s thoughts on who we should get in midfield… Fernandes
Wharton
Scott
Bouaddi
Nmecha.

Agree1

22 Jun 2026 18:22:08
I like Scott, as I would love us to have an English general in the middle.

No to Fernandes.

I have only seen one game of Nmecha, he looked great, but that is only one game.

I think with the profile of midfielders we have, if we were to sign Wharton we would need a dominant 6 next to him, which is then two signings so a no to him too.

Bouaddi, never seen him play.

I see our midfield options as
10 - Wirtz, Elliot, Szob
8 - Szob, new signing
6 - Grav, Macconnell, Bajcetic

The new signing to play either 6 or 8.

I would get rid of Macca, and it would make sense to sell Jones if he wants out.

22 Jun 2026 18:24:09
Bouaddi and Sangare for me in a dream world.

22 Jun 2026 20:29:37
Fernandes would be excellent.

Wharton no.

Scott no.

Bouaddi yes.

Anderson yes.

22 Jun 2026 20:37:33
The young lad from Ivory Coast.

22 Jun 2026 21:28:51
Sorry man of Todd, if our number 6 options are Gravenberch, Macconnell, Bajcetic, we're in for another failed season. We need a top class number 6.

22 Jun 2026 21:46:03
Fair point, I am just being realistic and we have given Grav a bumper contract, which implies to me he is seen as a key player. I do think he could be made into a very good DM. He had his best season 2 years ago playing as a 6, so it is possible. Last year he was told to attack more and was all at sea.

I would like to see him focus on his defensive game, as I believe he has potential to be very good 6.
I also believe MacConnell has potential to be a strong 6 too.
If we could buy anyone, then I really did like the look of Nmecha, or I think Anderson or Sangarre would be really good 6s.

22 Jun 2026 21:57:26
Nmechas looks good. Bouaddi also.

22 Jun 2026 23:15:34
Manu Kone, most fouled player in German and Italian Leagues, has played with Hugo, preferred to Camavinga, constantly in top stats for distance covered, high stats for progressive passes, forward passes, Euro 50mil. Best in a double pivot, better value than the overpriced English players, imo.

23 Jun 2026 01:00:18
An English General in midfield ay, preferably to provide a bit of steel in there as well? Not many of them around that would be available anyway. Rice and Anderson are the obvious ones, but they either ain't moving or unaffordable given the competition.

Wharton and Scott are great, and do get about the field, but I don't know, our midfield just seems a bit short! Some height wouldn't go amiss, I feel. I think Archie Gray would be a solid option, not that I think it will happen, mind.

23 Jun 2026 06:22:20
In order.

6/8
Garner
Fernandes
Scott

6
Camara
Sangare.

23 Jun 2026 18:50:46
Garner? Bottom of the barrel, meet the scraper.

23 Jun 2026 22:44:12
We require two top tier midfield players. Competitive and astute. Whomever that may be.

21 Jun 2026 15:57:35
Prediction. If we get Diomande over the line, he does well against the Hulls and Coventry's, but largely doesn’t do anything to even suggest he could replace Salah. Purely from an availability perspective, that’s going to be a major issue in that we have no decent backup still.

Diomande won’t get anywhere near Salah/Mane levels. He’s more of Traore than a game changer. Anything more than 70 million is ludicrous.

I think Munoz will be the hit signing or a less hyped midfield signing. The same things will be said about Wirtz as last season ‘still adjusting, generational talent, needs those around him to unlock his ability’ ‘any moment now’ etc.

He will either be eventually taken out of the first team, or we will spend the next 2 seasons struggling for 5th because we have to try and get our money's worth out of him. Considering he’s an alleged generational talent, he’s looked the least generational talent in both of Germany's matches.

Even though I don’t rate him, for Diomande money, Olise would be a better option or Kvaratskhelia. I’ve not seen anything of Diomande that excites me. There’s nothing remotely exceptional there.

Agree1

21 Jun 2026 16:41:20
How lovely it is to see fans write off a potential player before he even kicks a ball.

Many thanks for your "support".

21 Jun 2026 16:55:05
Another attempt by Bob to wind everyone up...

21 Jun 2026 17:13:26
That last paragraph shows what kind of muppet you are. "Even though I don't rate him, for Diomande money, Olise would be a better option" so you don't rate Olise but want to blow £100+ mill on him?
What are you on about pal?

21 Jun 2026 19:07:24
Nice optimistic take there, Bob Le Ponge, slight flaw in your argument though. Bayern nor PSG would want to sell those players. I honestly think you are talking in the region of EUR160m plus for either of those. Therefore, we need to try and identify the next big thing.

Of course we are over paying, but he is young on an upwards trajectory. AI is known for developing young players. Diomande is ambitious and wants to be here. He is fast, both-footed and physically suited to the PL. I think he is a risk worth taking.

21 Jun 2026 19:16:52
Neither Olise nor Kvaratskhelia are going to cost Diomande money, you're talking about £150+ before addons, even then you're competing with Bayern and Madrid for Olise and trying to pry Kvaratskhelia away from a side that's just won back to back Champions Leagues.

Even if we had unlimited funds, I can't see us signing either of them. I would love Olise, but as I've said before, we should have signed him 2 years ago.

21 Jun 2026 21:24:42
Wow. He's not even signed yet and not even 20 years old and already being written off.

22 Jun 2026 03:05:27
Best supporters in the world.

22 Jun 2026 06:59:32
Bob, I think this message has to be a wind up. If Wirtz underperforms from us from here, it'll be because of injuries.
If he stays injury free and has a good run of games, I'm extremely confident he'll be one of, if not our best player.
The last two games for Germany, he's looked
Sharp and creative. The things he does and sees not many others can.

Iraola's style will mean everything is done with a greater tempo, with a lot more movement, and I think Wirtz will thrive under that.
Re Diomande, I expect the opposite to what you're saying. Good close control, quick, works hard, can create and score and by all accounts a good attitude.

22 Jun 2026 08:40:58
Another troll post. *Sigh*.

22 Jun 2026 11:00:38
Iraola seems to do well with the wingers and forwards he has had, so I am not sure why people are worried that Diomande will flop.

The concern for me is RB, CB depth, and the midfield balance. We seem to have almost solved the winger gaps with Rio, Munoz and hopefully Diomande.

22 Jun 2026 19:31:54
Bob's got busy with his crystal balls again!!

What a numpty!

21 Jun 2026 14:07:10
2nd bid for Diomande is expected to be £95 upfront with achievable add ons. Plus Diomande has informed RBL he wants to join us.

Agree2

21 Jun 2026 16:16:25
From what I see of him last night and I don't want to sound racist in anyway but I know some people thing the wrong way so if I do come across like that not intentionally.
He looked a bit like one of the African players from 1990s World Cup or earlier.
He was full of physical attributes but his touch and things last night looked like his technique and that was miles behind top players from Europe and South America.
So for me but only on one game view he is a very big risk at that price.

When I see Wirtz play even if he is not having a good game I see touches and passes that show me he has a ceiling so high without physical attributes needed to shine.
I know people are comparing him to Mane and I did not see Mane play at that age but he has got a very long way to go to get anywhere near Mane.
But hopefully we sign him and he allay's all my fears and he reaches Mane leaves.

21 Jun 2026 19:19:38
1 game, Grino, in the World Cup group stage nonetheless, there literally isn't a worse competition to judge a player in, come back to me after he's had 2 full seasons, mate.

21 Jun 2026 19:31:37
Chewy, for £100+m, I don't think that's a see in two seasons.

22 Jun 2026 03:07:32
Yes, you are probably right. Diomande at 19 probably isn't as good as Mane was at 25.

22 Jun 2026 17:31:09
Grino, so by your standards, Isak and Wirtz should be sold?

23 Jun 2026 22:47:16
Very, very few were as good as Mane at any age, Potassium. Absolute top level football player. Comparable to John Barnes. Hard to even choose between either.

21 Jun 2026 09:06:41.
Have heard that we are looking to sign Curacao defender Riechedly Bazoer on a free transfer.

29, and can play as centre defence and defensive midfield so likely a squad utility player.

Make of it what you will.

Agree0

21 Jun 2026 09:52:24
Surely not haha! He's an absolute journeyman and he seems to have injury issues. He couldn't even get regular minutes at Konyaspor in Turkey.

I think you've had your leg pulled.

21 Jun 2026 12:51:31
MK, we did take Arthur on loan, mate. Can you really rule anything out...

22 Jun 2026 19:32:57
Bazoer?

At least he will be handy if any of our team get accidentally poisoned!

IYKYK.
