Every team needs a Taki minamino and he should not be sold if he is willing to be part of the squad. He is actually more important to keep than origi keita or the ox . His quality is there but also the professionalism and team ethic you can't buy. I Was made up for him tonight but I think he could offer more in the league.

Read this statement this morning: Minamino has a goal every 99 minutes this season. Far better ratio than the likes of Ronaldo, Kane, Grealish and Lukaku.
Havent researched whether its correct or not (and admittedly its mainly in cup games) but impressive return for a ‘bit part player’.
He now needs to force his way into the first eleven on a regular basis. I thought he was aggressive, dynamic and hungry versus Norwich. On that form, he's on par with Elliot and ahead of the likes of Jones, Ox, Keita and Firmino for me.

He was very impressive yesterday and I don’t just mean his goals. He held the ball up well, made the ball stick and created space for others which he isn’t done well before despite his goals. Passing was a little off at some key moments but otherwise it was like watching Bobby from a few years back. If he keeps to that standard we may have our Bobby replacement which I believe was the thinking when he was first brought in. Elated for the lad.

Great to see Mino score a brace last night and for what he cost us his goal returns has been excellent.
Looking at the current squad though I think best case he’s rated 6th forward and worst case 8th.
During Afcon I think he only started 1 game and that was Arsenal in the league cup. Since then Diaz has been bought also.
I like the lad but it’s Klopp that picks the team and that was the first time he’s been picked to start since Cardiff.

Was probably his best game for us lastnite took his goals really well. Still think he's one of the players that need to move on this summer because i can't ever see him getting real game time at this club.

Although he played well, he lost possession about 16 times.
Probably why Klopp doesn't trust him in the league.

Jadon not every player is going to play every game. I don't understand why everyone think players need to move on we need a squad the only reason we are competing on 4 fronts is because of the squad. if Taki has happy to stay and play in most cup competitions and come every other game why not keep him? pretty sure he's our 4th highest goal scorer this year.

Taki was brilliant last night. Best performance for us so far. Seems like such a popular squad member too. Love it.
For me, he's always shown technical brilliance but has struggled a little bit with the physicality of English football. However, if last night was anything to go by, he's getting used to it now and looks a valuable member of the squad. 9 goals already is impressive too.

Goals per minute played at Liverpool this season:
Minamino - 1 per 100 minutes
Salah - 1 per 101 minutes
Origi - 1 per 107 minutes
Jota - 1 per 141 minutes
Firmino - 1 per 163 minutes
Mane - 1 per 186 minutes
The issue is sample size though. Salah has 3x the minutes of Minamino and 5x the minutes of Origi and has kept up the same scoring rate, so you're not comparing like to like. Salah's rate (along with Jota and Mane's) is representative of a guy playing all the time, whilst Taku and Divock's rates aren't.

We won a cup on Sunday, made ten changes and put out a team that was still capable of beating a premier league team and securing a place for up us in the quarter final of a second cup.
Yet again the best people can come up with is that one of our squad players, who scored two goals, is probably best moving on in the summer, or won’t get a start in hard games etc, etc, etc.
We are in with a decent shout and of winning the quadruple and all some people can do is find (imaginary) fault with the owners, players or whatever.
It is extremely rare for anybody to be in with a chance of winning four trophies in one season and that includes us.
As has been said in recent times this is probably the best all round squad we have ever had. They are providing real excitement week in week out and I find it genuinely said that people can’t see that and even more sad that some people chose not to see it because they are too busy overanalysing minor faults at the expense of noticing the talents that individuals bring to the squad.
Anyway, enough of my grumbling, I can’t wait for Saturday’s match, bring on the Hammers and let’s get the three points.

Agree to your earlier comment Ed025. He has to show this type of form against tougher opposition. The overall performance was encouraging not from his goals or passing but the physicality he showed, which I think has been his main weakness. Even weaker players can be physically dominating so it was good to see him use his body, hold the ball and show his talent even against lesser opposition. I hope it can be a stepping stone to either being more involved in match day squads or to get a good price in the summer.

People, Ed25 has his flag deeply planted regarding Mino, Origi and Bobbie and it ain't changing anytime soon. Bobbie is nearing 100 goals for LFC, Divvy is an LFC legend that has wrecked his derby days frequently while Taki literally dragged us to the EFL final and STILL, he cannot bring himself to accept reality. This is the proverbial hill he will live on regardless of the storm hovering around so I propose we ignore his takes.
As for Mino, the guy played outstandingly and it seems like some on here who have written him off from jump are having a big issue giving him his due esp. with his great attitude, mentality and actual quality he possesses. I mean, just check out the quality of his goals. The speed of execution on the first and the brilliant technical ability on the second is brilliant. The reason he is not playing regularly is cos there are outright better players than him in front of him. World class players really with Salah and Mane so how is that a slight on him and his ability as a footballer? It isn't. I love the guy and I hope he stays if that is his wish.

I think I value Milner’s response to Taki’s goals than any online expert.
I understand we are all allowed an opinion. Whether it is a valid opinion is a completely different matter.
What matters is we won, we are in the next round of the FA Cup (unlike Man Utd and Tottenham) . We made XI changes from the weekend and Man City didn’t. Yet they hardly set the world alight versus Peterborough but we are still expected to hammer Norwich?

As per usual, WDW simply nails it.
The only reason we're in the running for 4 trophies is the squad depth, allied with the fact that we're doing fine on the injury front.
Many clubs would love to have Minamino, Divvy etc. And not just to fill the squad either.
It shouldn't be forgotten that not that long ago we had the likes of Borini and Balotelli as our first choice strikers, simply worlds away from what Klopp has done with this current squad.

Great stats for Mino but he’s only played 86 mins of Premier league football this season and Origi has played 71 mins. Diaz has played more mins than both combined and he’s been here a month.
100% agree though that without Mino and Origi we would not be challenging in the domestic cups but as what was proven in the league cup once we get to a semi them pair drop out and the big guns come in. Can’t see why that is going to change anytime soon in the league. Because to win the premier league every game is a domestic cup final.

Taki has built rhythm in the cups and done boss, since he scored and played at Palace last season he has been given no confidence or momentum IN THE LEAGUE or anything to build off, honestly he could offer more long term than ox keita origi and if he will stay is the perfect squad player.
