Only from Twatter but apparently Chelsea are in for Camara now. Hopefully not true

28 Aug 2026 01:20:04
Don't get this in the slightest. They've got Caicedo and Lavia. Literally, what is the point?

Buy, loan, on-sell for profit. Football's version of human trafficking.

15

28 Aug 2026 04:30:03
It'd make sense to replace Enzo's potential departure.

5

28 Aug 2026 06:30:38
Just offer them the same and let the player decide. If he goes to them, he wasn't for us anyway. Simple. Not even Hughes can screw that one up....Surely?

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - ye have little faith

1

28 Aug 2026 06:59:47
According to reports, they have offered the player to a few clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea, but there is nothing to say either is interested.

0

28 Aug 2026 08:13:10
To compare getting paid millions of pounds to being human trafficked is a bit silly.

1

27 Aug 2026 22:22:10
Liverpool will sign a CM this window.

28 Aug 2026 02:04:43
DM lovers everywhere just let out a little sigh. Good old fashioned box to box midfielder is what we want. Does Terry Mac have a grandson?

3

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - His f’ckin granddaughter would get into this current side it’s that bad.

9

28 Aug 2026 06:55:48
Sadiki was the ideal player, WDW, I'm definitely not sold on Wharton.
Kone is a DM, so not the profile the club would look for.

0

28 Aug 2026 07:32:11
I'm biased, but I think Alex Scott would be ideal for us?
Came on leaps & bounds under Iraola, and seems to have physically developed as well, so those early years injury ingles have disappeared. Would give our midfield the energy it needs.
Just my opinion before the experts jump in!

2

28 Aug 2026 07:43:59
@Shughes, agree with you Sadiki would be an excellent buy. Second only to Terry Mac's granddaughter. Really is good to have you back @666. 🙂

Sadly looks like Camara is off to Chelsea - a nice dream while it lasted. 🥲

8

27 Aug 2026 23:48:01
Sigh, I just don't get why so many players go to Chelsea on these huge length contracts!

The way Man City are spending this summer, I'm thinking there's a transfer ban incoming. 🤔

5

27 Aug 2026 23:55:04
Nothing guaranteed at this stage. Monaco would like a bidding war.

19

28 Aug 2026 00:29:07
Who said he's off to chelsea?

3

28 Aug 2026 00:52:02
Supposedly LFC keen on Manu Kone from Roma?

3

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - I would most definitely want Kone if no Camara or Wharton. Hes deffo more of a 6 than a 6/8 tho.

4

28 Aug 2026 02:28:56
It's funny. Until we see Barcola in a Liverpool shirt, no one here believes we've actually signed him.

Then some random lad on Twitter says Camara is going to Chelsea and we're already thinking: "We've lost another player."

Two weeks ago, some lad here said, "Arsenal have entered the race for Barcola.

We've lost him." F*** that!

We, as fans, have the self-esteem of a flea.

YNWA, but at the first sign of trouble, we're walking alone in the rain.

We are the biggest club in England! Start acting like it.

12

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - it doesent help when the whole football eco system is fueled by rumours on social media. You can’t help but be swept along with the tsunami of BS.. In the last week we were buying Barcola then Arsenal supposedly came in for gim..Cody was being romanced by spurs and city and Wednesday we’d had two bids rejected for Minteh and Thursday we were buying Sarr..so forgive us for being doubters and naysayers

12

28 Aug 2026 03:48:25
Well said, Zara.

4

28 Aug 2026 07:39:22
I heard a rumour that fleas have very high self esteem. Great in the air, and really great at winding up their opponent. Although I expect Chelsea to probably buy them all. Aw, well. 😜

Connected through work to a family with money in the States. They get approached to participate in sports team purchases every so often, including a certain NBA team that recently sold.

Word going around is that Bezos is looking for investors to potentially exercise the end-of-year option that would make their consortium majority shareholders in LFC. I would guess Bhatia and co. are doing the same unless they plan to go especially big on their investment.

Not sure how set they are on actually exercising the option, but they're certainly preparing for the possibility. Also, no word on whether FSG have right of first refusal or other terms of the deal, but the media was definitely right about near-term possibilities for the consortium's ownership expansion...and they appear to be exploring their options.

9

28 Aug 2026 00:16:22
Don't know why FSG would want to refuse, not unless some major issues crop up over the next 12 months; the clause heavily favours them as it puts the value of the club about £1.5 bn over its current valuation. Given that we heard FSG weren't all that happy about the appraisal of the club for the minority stake sale, I imagine they would only be delighted if the buyout did happen at the higher price.

Can't see any other reason for them even agreeing to the clause in the first place.

6

28 Aug 2026 00:19:31
No offence, pal - but this sounds like a porkie pie.

The media is obsessed with Bezos now being the "owner" of Liverpool, when in fact he is an investor in a fund, K5, which invested in another consortium, 1892 Holdings, which acquired a minority stake (38%) of Liverpool Football Club.

My understanding is that the consortium (1892 Holdings) has the option to acquire the rest of LFC in the next 12 months.

Not Bezos directly, and not K5 directly. Bezos does not even have a board position on LFC, 1892 or K5!

Bezos is a busy guy. I very much doubt he is doing the rounds trying to personally raise funds for a further acquisition of the club.

Red Sandman.

10

28 Aug 2026 01:26:50
When I say "Bezos", I mean his family office. Wouldn't be surprised if K5 is doing the same, but I don't hear much about their general partners.

It's not easy for a firm of their size/lifespan to raise another $1B+ in 12 months. Sometimes, a big cheque helps. Also, small LPs in a fund are going to want to see some distributions much faster than a wealthy family.

Sports teams, particularly in football, are not often cash flow lucrative. You'd rather have someone who can fork over a large sum of cash and not care about getting their money back for a decade plus. My guess as to why they're shopping the deal around.

2

28 Aug 2026 02:08:08
@Red Sandman, It's a rumours and banter site. Not a question of porkie pies.

5

28 Aug 2026 07:17:21
Why would Bezos be looking for investors? Has he already fallen out with the consortium that recently purchased 38%?

0

28 Aug 2026 07:35:31
Why would Bezos need investors anyway?
What's £6B to him? 2-3% of his net worth. If he wanted to buy the club he doesn't need investment.

27 Aug 2026 21:49:09
Good friends with an agent based in Budapest and he's given me a piece of strange information - Liverpool are trying to complete a loan deal for a striker. Three players being spoken to are Ivan Azon (Como), Cucho Hernandez (Betis) and Romulo (Leipzig). Azon is the most likely at the moment and Chiesa potentially going the other way.

23

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - now that’s an old school runout if I’ve ever heard one. We need a striker so hope it happens

23

27 Aug 2026 22:33:39
Maybe Solanke as part of the Gapko deal.

2

27 Aug 2026 22:34:34
Now that Barcola is done, we're finally settling back into the spirit of this site - old school rumours. No more "as I said" posts or any of that faff. Order has been restored.

16

27 Aug 2026 22:37:54
Proper good rumour 👌. Also, we sign a player mostly when we do friendly games or meet in cups so maybe the Como one has extra legs?

4

27 Aug 2026 22:38:52
Ivan Azon, 5 goals in 38 games in the Championship for Ipswich last season. We must be desperate.

6

27 Aug 2026 22:45:00
I can't say I've ever seen any of them play, but purely on what I've just looked up about them, Romulo is the only one I'd be remotely interested in. Azon barely scored in the Championship and Cucho just looks like an absolute bellend!

3

27 Aug 2026 22:59:45
Could do with a striker, if it happens, I guess that means Cody's gone.

1

27 Aug 2026 23:06:22
Getting someone on loan until Ekitike is back makes sense.

2

27 Aug 2026 23:15:53
On Azon and any goal record concerns, it is important to note that Iraola is likely looking for a particular profile of striker to cover Isak. Think of Evanilson, who he had at Bournemouth, and Camello at Vallecano, i.e. athleticism, energy and pressing. The three mentioned have these attributes, and their clubs are seemingly willing to discuss moves.

Goals are expected to come from the wings and midfield, so more room for this type of player. I've been told there are other players being spoken to, but no names as yet - it's a short-term solution until Ekitike returns, and it makes sense, albeit making us look quite desperate.

4

28 Aug 2026 00:32:16
That will be a Rickie Lambert singing that.

0

27 Aug 2026 22:23:58
Cheers clowner

28 Aug 2026 02:09:16
Is Barcola done then? No club announcement yet?

Ok, I’m not suggesting in any way that I am ‘ITK’ however, after a trip with my lad to Axa Training Academy this afternoon we were very lucky to speak to the legend that is James ‘Millie’ Milner. His lad also plays in the LFC academy.

I was standing next to him for about 15 mins before realising it was him, albeit he had a cap on and I am not one for just staring at people so it was only when he shouted something did I look at him and realised.

Anyway, I said hello and did the usual patter and we chatted about our son’s progress at academy level etc... I then got on to asking him about Bradley Barcolas' imminent arrival and he seemed very excited to see what he could bring to the team. He was also very open to discussing the gaps in the Liverpool squad but also said we have a wealth of young talent that he feels could get a decent opportunity in certain games this season.

I asked who he’d like to see come in and without any hesitation he said ‘Camara and Sarr’, he’s been told are serious contenders to join the team before Tuesday. I then asked the question about how far these two are progressing in his opinion and his reply was “both have agreed personal terms” but then went on to say at this stage that means nothing. I left it there on the incoming rumours front and asked about the new minority ownership. His reply… ‘I know nothing about it other than he expects FSG to remain with LFC for a few years yet as majority owners.’

27 Aug 2026 22:18:54
If all true, tell us this,
What flavour Ribena did he have?
Also, can he play the 6 role to shut up fans?

7

27 Aug 2026 22:20:15
Love this, great old school style rumour that seems too absurd to not be true. Let's hope there's truth in what Millie said.

9

27 Aug 2026 22:25:40
Lovely full fat rumour. None of this extra line space, purposeful vagueness and dumb signoff. Thanks, Bastien.

9

27 Aug 2026 22:29:41
Your lad in the academy too?

Sounds like a great opportunity to carpool with Milner and get some more inside info...... :D

Cool story!

6

27 Aug 2026 22:41:50
Carpool rumours woo love this haha.

3

27 Aug 2026 23:58:49
Love it. Next time you bump into Millie, ask him if he needs a window cleaner, Cleansheets will sort him out.

2

28 Aug 2026 06:19:31
Milner would know sweet FA about the ownership of the club. He knows as much as you and I. As for players, it is all heresay. I realize you are trying to pass on the information you have gleamed, but please let's have some perspective.

0

28 Aug 2026 07:41:34
Cheers for the rumour.
I have to agree with RedFlyer, I'm afraid.

When I read the rumour my instant reaction was 'it sounds like he's a member of this site'.

0

28 Aug 2026 07:48:13
Again @Red_Flyer, it's a rumours and banter site not a polygraph test.

27 Aug 2026 18:49:34
Various outlets saying we have agreed a fee for Mbaye this afternoon with PSG. Anyone know if this is true or just click bait? I'd love this one to happen on top of the Barcola deal. YNWA.

23

27 Aug 2026 19:01:16
I'm hearing Bayern Munich have enquired. Liverpool appear to have cooled their interest, but that may change...

3

27 Aug 2026 20:58:47
I have it on good record that Mbaye is incoming. That's why Barcola was priced low.

Thanks.
Martin.

12

23

27 Aug 2026 21:05:11
Have it on good record. 🤣
Yet another one, will it ever end!

21

27 Aug 2026 21:09:16
Priced low!! Hmm!!

6

27 Aug 2026 21:19:11
To be fair, judging by his user name I don't think Martin is trying to be taken seriously.

8

27 Aug 2026 21:21:18
Yes. He was touted at 140m£.

I am at a higher level than these bottom feeders. The level of inaccuracy is too much.

Mbaye will be ours come Tuesday modnodgt. I am not understanding the worship of inadequacy over these "rumours".

Thanks
Martin.

7

27 Aug 2026 21:25:59
It is a rumour site after all, cheers, Martin.

8

27 Aug 2026 21:27:19
I think Martin is talking about his Aynuss.

9

27 Aug 2026 21:39:03
I think most of you haven't seen the inside of a boardroom or dealt with HNWIs. The asinine nature of the discourse, especially from the ITKs, speaks volumes.

Thanks

Martin.

8

27 Aug 2026 21:42:18
Or from his Aynuss.

5

27 Aug 2026 21:48:41
Martin is now my 2nd favourite itk after Neily D.

3

27 Aug 2026 21:53:06
The Barcola delay was not because of price hikes. It was an accounting necessity. Not a single ITL has mentioned that salient point.

Mid managers squealing.

With respect,
Martin.

8

27 Aug 2026 21:55:57
Red Will is ...... Are we forgetting the truther?

4

27 Aug 2026 22:06:25
Yet another prophet false.

4

27 Aug 2026 22:15:03
Are you a bit bored tonight and fancied some trolling Harry? Sorry, I mean Martin?

6

27 Aug 2026 21:30:49
I, for one, personally cannot wait until modnogt.

Stop talking out of your Ayness Martin.

4

27 Aug 2026 22:26:06
Are you Djimi?

6

27 Aug 2026 22:34:31
Yeah, that's the one, Kenny. My one moment was ruined by autocorrect!

0

27 Aug 2026 23:10:59
Lay off the sherbert, Martin.

2

27 Aug 2026 23:19:21
It's either the Truther or DjimiT. Desperate for recognition and attention.

But u do u, Martin. Share away.

2

27 Aug 2026 23:36:36
Surely a made up name to rule all other made up names.

1

28 Aug 2026 07:51:38

27 Aug 2026 15:04:09
Hi all,

Liverpool are still pushing for Ismaila Sarr but I give this deal a slim chance of happening. Palace won't sell without a replacement and a hefty fee this close to the end of the window.

Expect some media briefings to try and apply pressure to the situation.

Still not sure who the other right wing targets are - continuing to have a nosy and see what I can gather.

42

27 Aug 2026 15:18:20
I did wonder if Pedro Neto might come into their thinking.

4

27 Aug 2026 15:29:05
VG, heard anything more on Ibrahim Mbaye? I get the feeling we still sign Mbaye and one more of Sarr or Mintah. Then Gakpo, Elliot and Chiesa will leave, then we have 6 forward options.

Because I don’t see the club expecting a lot from Ekitike this season, and I would not expect him back fully till March/April time.

4

27 Aug 2026 15:32:17
Neither of these are good options. Neto is the most risk-averse option on the market for high end teams that want a safe pair of hands in that position, and he is a good crosser of the ball with experience in the CL, but Chelsea want 100m for him and he is in no way a 100m player.

He has reached his ceiling and what you see from him right now is what you will get until the end of his contract. Sarr is a good goalscorer, incredibly strong and quick but his general footballing ability as a wide attacker in every other aspect is lacking.

9

27 Aug 2026 15:33:18
Brilliant as always, VG. 👌

6

27 Aug 2026 15:37:12
Djimit is quiet today.

34

27 Aug 2026 15:38:39
Unless PSG lower their asking price for Mbaye, I just can't see us going for it. His camp would really like the move.

However, if all else fails, we may cut our losses and bite the bullet.

39

27 Aug 2026 15:44:29
Give them Harvey and Chiesa. Both can play off the right :-D

2

27 Aug 2026 15:49:18
I've done very extensive scouting on Google...... lol.

Mbaye, the obvious but expensive.
Minteh, expensive, injured.
William Gomes (not sure he's a powerful runner, AI type of player) release clause.
Sarr, as you've said.

Outside the box, cheaper option maybe.
Dario Osario.
Mathias Soule.
Ritsu Doan (Japan).

Timothy Weah.
Pulisic (awful injury record).
Talbi (Sunderland mentioned by someone).
Geny Catamo (Sporting decent numbers).
Luis Henrique (Zenit I think).
Mohamed Kudos (Spurs fits my made up profile but injured).

Looking at a profile and guessing AI wants powerful runners Rayan/Semenyo types.

4

27 Aug 2026 15:54:10
I suspect we'll go back in for Mbaye after shopping around, he's very much surplus to requirements at PSG. Either that, or we'll come to a last minute agreement with Brighton.

8

27 Aug 2026 16:07:54
Most likely Mbaye comes back into the frame, some sort of compromise will be reached on the fee.

The other options are looking too expensive.

10

27 Aug 2026 16:11:47
As long as it's not a crazy fee, I reckon the manager can work well with players like this, therefore I'll place my trust in him. If he signs, then it will be interesting from a coaching perspective and to see if his game can adapt at a relatively later age.

Hopefully this is a manager signing and not some ten-bob YouTube scouting clips from the back team.

4

27 Aug 2026 16:15:59
Mbaye would be my choice. Minteh is also a good option and might even be better being a left footer out on the right (only downside is he is injured).

Sarr, I just do not get!!!! Not even a winger, I don't think, and nowhere near good enough, so hopefully you're right, Viktor, and it doesn't happen.

7

27 Aug 2026 16:16:41
Anything in Gavi VG?

1

27 Aug 2026 16:24:02
Djimi is off making his latest new ITK account.

13

27 Aug 2026 16:26:04
I think it will be Mbaye. Apparently the relationship between ourselves and PSG is healthy, he declared he wants Liverpool and turned down BL. He is certainly surplus to requirements (must be their 7th choice attacker at this stage?).

I think LFC are showing PSG that they have a budget.

Like Mbaye, Minteh and Sarr, they will not go beyond 60-70 million.

The way AI spoke about Gakpo makes me think he's had reassurances that he will get Barcola +1. Either we come to a compromise with PSG and land Mbaye or we go back in for Minteh (my preference).

9

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - I prefer Mbaye but if Minteh was fit I wouldn’t have minded Minteh at all I think he’s got a massive ceiling

9

27 Aug 2026 16:37:19
Don't want to sell Gakpo. We need the depth and cover he offers. Barcola has not had a preseason. Isak could get injured. Rio shouldn't be expected to play 60 games if we go deep into 4 comps. Hugo won't be match fit until Jan/Feb and Munoz is also new to the league. Gakpo is the experience senior.

9

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - I think Ekitike won’t be the same player he was pre injury and even if he is I thinks it’s gonna take him a lot longer than January to get back up to speed. The injury he suffered was probably one of the nastiest you can get as a proffesional athlete.

24

27 Aug 2026 16:50:37
Mbaye at 18 for £60m or Minteh at 21 for £80m. William Gomes has a big release clause, but scouts liked him and Porto will do business at £45m. Sarr I like, and the £50m valuation is spot on from the club, especially at 28.

Just pay the fee for Mbaye and get it done with. Player wants us. Chiesa needs moving on, along with Elliot.

9

27 Aug 2026 17:07:01
I think he could end up at Arsenal, but, given the Athletico stand-off, it would be unreal to pinch Alvarez on a season-long loan to back up Isak, while Hugo recovers.

4

27 Aug 2026 17:09:46
Re Ekiteke, I agree a few tentative appearances off the bench late in the season is probably the best we will see this year. Hopefully a full preseason next summer may then see him much closer to full speed in 27/28.

But no guarantees, though.
So, still a concern for Isak backup this season. I would keep Gakpo for that, but I suspect he wants more than to be backup to Barcola and Isak...

5

27 Aug 2026 17:15:42
If Minteh is whelom. We want, is available and we are within 5m of a deal, then just do it and stop faffing about.

27 Aug 2026 17:31:07
Taurus01, haha, very true mate.

27 Aug 2026 18:03:24
Cracking user name HamannPineapple. 👏

8

27 Aug 2026 18:05:24
Poor Djimit, chose the wrong side for his "I told you so" moment. I love this site!!

5

27 Aug 2026 19:08:32
Did anyone really believe DjimiT over VG?

5

27 Aug 2026 19:48:30
We get some great players that always seem to get bad injuries of late starting with VVD. Back luck at its finest, but I'm hoping Ekiteke will come good even if he has to change how he plays.

0

27 Aug 2026 19:52:48
I understand why our interest on Mbaye cooled down, but it's already proving to be a poor decision since the other options don't seem to be cheap either and will be difficult to negotiate.

7

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - this

6

27 Aug 2026 17:59:57
Interesting observation that Ed666. Sure I read ages ago that Achilles Tendon Ruptures were more common in people who were relatively unfit. Makes me wonder if the Slot approach towards fitness training last season - e.g. less of it - was partly at fault for the Ekitike injury!

5

https://www.rangersrumours.co.uk/images/Ed0041.png avatar{Ed666's Note - We decided not to legion the S word around these parts ever again mate. Most of us have PTSD from last season and mentioning the S word triggers us tremendously and dosage of meds need to increase.

Ed666 what's the dimensions of mintehs house have to do with who's best? 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry couldn't resist.

Still think Mbaye and Camara this window, and maybe one more rw if Gakpo goes.

4

27 Aug 2026 21:30:07
We're considering paying over £200m for PSG's 3rd and 7th choice attacker? 😂

The market is a funny thing aye!

I prefer Minteh but wouldn't be upset with Mbaye. Just think we need to keep experience, espesh PL experience, in the squad.

Barcola, hopefully done. We'd be silly not to get Mbaye too given it suits both sides, we desperately need an rw and looks a proper talent. I'd be over the moon if we get Camara too. 🤞

You've named the trio.

Respect.

Triple6, well yeah, it'd be a risk. And, I'm not making a prediction of who would be better.

But, while we're playing the game, what if after three months, Mbaye's lack of experience and life experience leads to a lull in performances? Who knows, really.

I like both, but would prefer Minteh, even tho he is currently unavailable.

I remember being so elated when we signed Morientes and look how that turned out? And I felt so underwhelmed when we signed Mo and he made a fool out of me and went on to become the third highest goal scorer at the club and arguably the best ever player behind the King. It’s all a crapshoot. For the record I’ve always said I’d have no complaints about spending 80 million on Minteh I really like him too. My reservation is he’s injured and we need that position filled now mate.

Hello, gentlemen. Happy to be here. Liverpool supporter from 2004, one year as a reader, first time poster. Many thanks for all Eds, ITK and the whole community to make this forum an exciting place to stick to.

I have a question regarding Ordonez. It seems like we have been interested in him some time ago while now he is seemingly in the middle of joining AV/CPFC.

Any rumours of LFC hijacking him? Look like nice CB/RB profile, LA, strong and fast, 22yo, 26 mln pounds. Too got to be true.

Any thoughts on this matter?

Thanks!

No chance.

We also are not looking at any more CBs for the time being.

We've 5 senior centre backs currently and a host of younger ones.

I don't think Ordonez will be the priority when so much is needed elsewhere.

We should keep in mind that VVD, Gomez, and Tsimikas' contracts are all up next summer.

Even if not looking at defence, is this not the opportunist signing at £26m we hear about? Gomez and VVD will be gone in the summer. Leoni will take time to get up to match fitness.

You can’t just keep stockpiling players it will send the wrong message to players you have for that position already at the club. We’ve just signed the Uruguayan fella and you have JJ, Virgil, the Senegalese kid. Leoni and Joe will be back real soon.

The next 'back' we buy needs to be a right one. Not a centre one.

The Senegalese Kid, will he be a sharpshooter?
