The best.

24 Mar 2026 20:44:30
G’day gents,

Blue nose here in peace. Reading the Salah news today and feeling a sense of an era coming to an end. As an avid fantasy football player, despite being a blue, this man has been part of my weekly emotions for, well, 9 years now!

What an incredible player, and boy am I grateful that we only have one derby ever again to play against him (but damn I’m annoyed that he’ll be right up for it now haha). The discrediting that’s been levelled at him this season from pundits and rival fans has been disgraceful.

The man is a Premier League great and ending his tenure with “just” 10 goals (so far) speaks volumes to the legacy of this guy.

Hope he doesn’t propel you boys too far up the table in his swan song (though it would be cool to see Everton and Liverpool in the same European competition, anyone know the last time that happened?!)

All the best gents.

Thank you Mo. Can't really say more than that. He's in the all-time 11. He's won it all. He's made us all sing. Our Egyptian King.

24 Mar 2026 19:20:07
Premier League's greatest player?

24 Mar 2026 19:50:17
Sean Dundee?

Agree3

24 Mar 2026 20:05:27
Certainly one of them, Sean.

Agree6

24 Mar 2026 20:39:33
Henry by a country mile, Bale probably 2nd.

Agree2

{Ed025's Note - Henry for me as well QOSR, but Bale not in my top 10 mate..

24 Mar 2026 20:40:33
Stevie G.

Agree4

{Ed025's Note - another one not in my top 10 RF..

24 Mar 2026 20:44:39
Henry is the greatest Premier League player of all time, Bale wouldn't make the top 20.

Agree8

{Ed025's Note - hard to argue with that Arnie..

24 Mar 2026 20:50:48
Ed025, sorry mate. Steven Gerrard 😉

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - good player in a poor side for me RF or a big fish in a small pond, being a horror bag of a person and a miserable sod never helped his cause for me but of course thats just my opinion mate..

24 Mar 2026 21:21:54
Ed025.utter tosh you speak sometimes esp to dismiss Steven Gerrard as a also ran.he was one of the best players ever.what a very bitter blue you are,

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - im not bitter Strom..just a good judge of character, you seem to be a big fan and thats ok but dont try and drag me into your fantasy world..

24 Mar 2026 21:58:07
Bale. Nice bit of ragebait that.

Agree1

25 Mar 2026 00:45:49
Bale? He's not even the best Prem player from Spurs.

Agree0

24 Mar 2026 23:00:02
Ed025 no fantasy world from me, delusional blue nose rubbish from you, every man n his dog knows he was one of the Premier League best players n would be in 95% of everyone's premier dream 11, as for his character, il bet you don't know him, you've just heard rumours, I know a few of his family n not many by our end have a bad word to say about him, who actually know him.so if you don't like him fair enough but don't start chatting bubbles that he wasn't a top player

Agree0

{Ed025's Note - he was a good player in an era when Liverpool were poor Strom, never done it on the international stage which is telling and it has always been a toss up between him and Lampard who was the better player, for me none of them get in my all time side and Gerrard not even my best LFC11, you think different and thats fine by me..

25 Mar 2026 07:03:29
In case anyone missed it.

Scotty also had Bale down as being in a best 11 of Liverpool players who have played at a World Cup. 😆

Clearly got a bit of a stiffy for him for some reason.

Salah almost has triple goals vs Bale in Prem who only scored 53. But sure, he's the 2nd greatest player the league has ever seen!

Agree2

25 Mar 2026 07:13:44
Dennis Bergkamp and Zola, they could do things no others could.

Agree2

25 Mar 2026 07:16:45
Ed025, no comparison Lampard n Gerrard, chalk n cheese Gerrard light years ahead of him.no none of the golden generation done it for England, so again nonsense

Agree1

25 Mar 2026 08:12:25
Did the beginning of all time start 34 years ago?

Agree2

25 Mar 2026 08:32:00
Gerrard was better than Lampard. Frank was top as well though in fairness.

24 Mar 2026 19:19:15
Knew the Salah news would come sooner or later but it still hurts! But we all thank him he gave us some of the best times we’ve ever had as Reds and we wish him the best! He leaves and will always be one of us and a true club legend!
Thanks Mo YNWA.

24 Mar 2026 19:15:26
To be upfront, I've wanted Salah to leave since before January. As a player currently, he has been a hindrance more than a helper this season. However, now that it is actually happening, I can't help but remember how incredible the guy was.

Gerrard will always be my number 1, as I was a kid watching him, from the start of his Liverpool career, all the way to an adult. But, when it comes to contribution, silverware, consistency, Salah is number 1. Even looking past my childlike bias, I can see no one contributed more to our success under Klopp and Slot more than Salah. Not Alisson, not Van Dijk. Salah was the guy that made us realise our dreams of both the Prem (twice) and Champions League, as well as other trophies.

The guy maintained a high consistency until the second half of last season. To be able to contribute, after playing under Klopp's high-intensity press, is honestly incredible. Firmino dropped off, Mane dropped off, but Salah still had so much more to give.

An incredible player, and one I am going to look back on so fondly. Whether it will be matched in my lifetime, who knows. But what an incredible privilege to watch Salah put on a Liverpool shirt, and achieve all he has.

Wherever he goes, he will always be a Liverpool legend, among the very, very best.

{Ed025's Note - great post MANGO..

24 Mar 2026 19:09:43
Reading an article today was interesting. We've the most possession and most touches in the oppositions box in the league. Yet we are in the bottom five for shot conversion and having missed 55 big chances, only three teams are poorer in this regard than us. Hugo's missed the most big chances (11) with Mo at (10). At the other end of the pitch we've the 3rd best xg for goals conceded, yet are 8th for the most goals conceded per match.

We ask our goalie to make 2.5 saves per match, which is only bettered by 3 teams. In simple terms, we're not taking nearly enough of the big chances we create with only 4 teams been worse and we let in far too many goals compared to the big chances we give up. Not a pro or anti slot post. To be honest, it should be nothing new to someone with eyes. We miss far too many chances and concede far too softly.

24 Mar 2026 22:16:31
We've also been outrun in 27 of the 31 PL games. I put that on the manager. The magic of sight can see that he's torn this club apart this season.

Agree2

24 Mar 2026 22:43:32
Frode would end the weather report with a dig at Slot.

Agree6

24 Mar 2026 23:03:20
Darwin, and yet always pops up at the end, sticking up for Slot. Like clockwork with a cpl of others. Pot. Kettle.

Agree2

25 Mar 2026 00:05:25
Apparently I don't know how true this is. We were 16th in the league for distance covered when we won the league last season.

Agree0

25 Mar 2026 02:13:25
It's funny that you type all that up, finish it by saying "It should be nothing new to someone with eyes", and yet you can't see Slot's not the man for the job.

Agree0

25 Mar 2026 07:53:54
Why is everything taken so argumentatively? It's nothing to do with Slot. Slot's gone in May, get over it. This was simply a post that might help towards explaining the predicament we're in. I'm not saying it fully explains it. You guys go on about Slot apologists, yet you's are just as bad. Only dying to jump on anything.

Agree1

24 Mar 2026 18:57:19
What a weird way to announce Salah is leaving. Have we sold him or what's happening?

Or is he just leaving the club?

What a superstar he was for us.

{Ed025's Note - hes been brilliant Davey, but the time is right i think mate..

24 Mar 2026 19:24:54
It says agreement reached on various news outlets, which suggests it's either a contract termination or we've agreed to let him go on a free.

Good luck to him, he's been a great player for us. End of an era, and a very tough act to follow.

Agree2

24 Mar 2026 19:26:29
Looks like mutual agreement.

Agree3

24 Mar 2026 19:33:35
Apparently it was Salah's wish to let the fans know as early as possible. I'm guessing he was taking a leaf out of Klopp's book with the video. I thought it was a nice way of doing things myself. Whether he's retiring or moving elsewhere I have no idea, he's well capable of continuing in less demanding leagues, I would be surprised if he didn't.

At the same time, he might not want to play a bit part role at a lower level. Time will tell.

Agree3

24 Mar 2026 19:37:24
10 goals and 9 assists in 34 games this season. In his worst ever season! Some player. 💪

Agree5

24 Mar 2026 19:37:01
Is it ed025 or is it because he is not fit because 3 day a week Slot spends more time in Holland than on the training pitch.

Agree1

{Ed025's Note - i think Mo looks after himself Grino and for me physical fitness is down to the individual as much as the club mate...just look as Dom, Mo has lost that yard of pace for me and that was his super power, time has caught up with him as happens to all of us im afraid..

24 Mar 2026 20:31:29
Rubbish, he was exceptional last season, and he doesn't simply lose all that quality in a matter of months. It's not his coincidence his form (like most of his peers) has gone out of the window when the manager decided to throw what tactics he had off a cliff.

Agree4

24 Mar 2026 20:30:07
Ed025 am 51 now and am still as fast as I was at 21 when there is a spare Yorkshire pudding going on Sunday lol 🤣

Agree3

{Ed025's Note - im sure your as fit as a butchers dog Grino, maybe you could be Mo,s successor mate?.. :)

24 Mar 2026 20:40:38
Salah to replace Greizemann at Athleti or just the huge Saudi payday.

Agree0

24 Mar 2026 21:56:24
I would be very surprised if Mo lands a contract in any of the big leagues.
