Endo needs to be shown the gate.
09 Aug 2026 16:53:10
I would have said the same thing for Marshmellow and Pingpong. At least Endo's gonna be rusty due to severe lack of playing time.
Use our rumours form to send us liverpool transfer rumours.

Lewis Koumas is moving me, not gonna lie.
Was picked in the most senior side for this game, while Chiesa, etc, were on the bench. I can see him taking Chiesa's spot, and being a viable option. Full of running, got a decent cross on him, and quick too.
Been impressed, and so has Iraola by all accounts.
09 Aug 2026 15:44:42
If say a good bid came in for Ali, and as we know Mamardashvilli is not up to being the number one, who would you go for if available to take over the number one duties? To be fair, on e helluva hard act to follow.
09 Aug 2026 15:57:32
It would have to be a stupid bid for Ali because I can't think of many top keepers.
09 Aug 2026 16:03:47
God, we need some speed in this Liverpool squad. It's too slow for Iraola football.
09 Aug 2026 16:15:29
Agreed, LFC8. It's why Slot couldn't even attempt to play this way last season. You can see why he was annoyed Diaz was sold and not replaced.
09 Aug 2026 16:27:56
We were unlucky today. If Monaco don't score 3 goals, we win that.
{Ed025's Note - love it JK..
09 Aug 2026 16:28:45
The problem is the lack of fitness. We dominated most of the first half. We looked exciting, we played fast and we created chances. Then we walked around the pitch for the second half because last season's lack of fitness is not just gonna magically disappear.
I don't know if the subs had a hard workout before the match to make up for the smaller amount of minutes, but they looked shattered from the minute they came on and as a result could find a team mate or close down an opponent.
I can't remember Elliot completing a single pass, and Nyoni wasn't much better.
Munoz and Rio added a little bit of excitement, but by the time they came on, we were unable to get the ball forward.
09 Aug 2026 16:31:44
@funky, Slot could have had Usain Bolt playing for us and we'd still be slow. Past tense, thankfully.
09 Aug 2026 16:42:19
I wonder how long we will continue to blame Slot for our lack of fitness. It's like this government still blaming the Tories.
09 Aug 2026 16:43:49
It'll take at least 6 months for the manager to get this lot match fit, never mind fit enough to play his style of football.
What Slot did over the 2 years is criminal.
09 Aug 2026 16:44:11
Lewis Koumas played really well.
First half again we looked promising, but second half poor.
Rio is not a right winger.
Harvey Elliot came on to a great reception... but he looks the least fit of all the squad, I'm afraid.
He looks out of shape and sluggish.
Disappointing result in the end, but fitness levels will
surely improve before the Newcastle game.
And hopefully a few new signings too.
09 Aug 2026 17:04:58
Lord Nukem, when you say the 2 years, are you forgetting we won the PL? I could've sworn that we did.
09 Aug 2026 17:22:45
Elliott looks like a pub footballer. Unprofessional that. Midfield is painfully weak and soft, can't believe anyone still thinks we're good in the middle of the pitch as we are absolutely not.
09 Aug 2026 17:45:18
Blaming Slot for the players looking knackered from the minute they came on in the 2nd half, with only one pre season game left, and with a lot of the 11 having been back training weeks, is crazy. Munoz, in fairness, gets a pass, but imo it wasn't tiredness, it's just the level of the team as a whole just wasn't there in the 2nd half.
09 Aug 2026 15:15:21
Does anyone happen to know why Jones hasn't been included in the squad for the friendly against Monaco?
Is he injured, or is he not being risked - so he can secure a move away?
Thanks.
09 Aug 2026 16:13:39
Injured.
09 Aug 2026 16:17:46
Curtis Jones, out of Liverpool squad today as he's not even on the bench.
#LFC informs it's a precaution for the midfielder, still wanted by Inter (priority target) and more clubs this summer.
Fabrizio.
09 Aug 2026 18:51:28
Was getting his haircut with his Italian barbour.
09 Aug 2026 14:38:48
Ed do you happen to have an idea at all please how far away Jacquet and Leoni are from returning to full fitness?
{Ed001's Note - no idea on Jacquet, but I believe Leoni is still a fair bit away.}
09 Aug 2026 16:25:59
I'm surprised Jacquet has been so long with a shoulder issue. Must've been something quite bad.
09 Aug 2026 14:33:54
Apparently Isak is injured due to clapping for a minute.
6 to 8 weeks.
09 Aug 2026 15:08:18
A nice goal and assist for him, hopefully stops you posting nonsense for 6 to 8 weeks.
09 Aug 2026 15:38:44
What a silly post, FW....
09 Aug 2026 16:05:22
Poor attempt at humor, FW.
09 Aug 2026 14:26:17
Hi Ed01, I might have missed it but what's your opinion on the Araujo loan deal?
It seems to have divided opinion on here. I think its a shrewd move, as long as he stays fit - instead of blowing £60M on Konsa we take Araujo for a season who can cover CB/RB and this allows more funds for midfield.
{Ed001's Note - I am cautiously optimistic.}
09 Aug 2026 16:35:18
Spending 60m on Konsa would have been an even worse decision than the Araujo one.
09 Aug 2026 14:15:32
Why do we keep persisting with Ndukwe? Wouldn't it be better to give more experience to one of the lads that will be here next season and that we might need to step up. Thoughts?
09 Aug 2026 14:36:18
Outstanding.
09 Aug 2026 14:43:49
Thanks, @lfcfan. I thought it was a good post too.
09 Aug 2026 14:51:04
Stupendous.
09 Aug 2026 15:10:25
Swampy, I believe he needs a top level loan to a competitive league or a club in Europe in order to gain the immigration points needed for a work permit, so putting him in the shop window makes sense. That, and everyone else is injured!
09 Aug 2026 15:14:11
I believe Liverpool could still use an ESC place for him, should they wish to.
09 Aug 2026 15:28:38
To be fair, he looks class. I can imagine a lot of clubs being interested in a loan after watching him.
09 Aug 2026 15:31:54
They can't without taking it away from Ndiaye. We only get 1 this season.
09 Aug 2026 20:12:53
Simple. Take it away from Ndiaye then. He is the lesser player.
09 Aug 2026 14:06:56
Honestly, I just really believe Ramsey is better option than Frimpong at right back. It just makes me nervous seeing him there
But future wise does anyone think Ramsay can make it his own?
09 Aug 2026 14:25:20
Anyone is better than Frimpong PK. Anyone at all.
09 Aug 2026 14:29:06
I know we grabbed a new defender im well happy we did.
I just feel we need a real right back and I don't think "Bradley will come back or Gomez will be back" should be sth u hang on to.... They will need time anyway to get up to speed.
Just hope Ramsey takes his chance and makes it.
09 Aug 2026 14:32:14
Ramsay couldn't get a game at Wigan, Preston, Bolton, and Kilmarnock. What makes you think he will make it his own at Liverpool?
09 Aug 2026 14:40:42
What have you seen of Ramsey that makes you think he is the answer? None of our managers, or even the ones he has been loaned out to, have played him at all.
I think it's impossible to know if he is good enough.
Same goes for Chiesa: I think we just put too much hope on players who haven't yet had the chance to mess up, or indeed impress.
09 Aug 2026 15:05:41
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the reason Ramsey was struggling for game time because he was suffering with depression and not because managers didn't fancy him?
09 Aug 2026 15:07:37
I think Chambers is a better option to deputize left back than Tsimikas.
09 Aug 2026 16:38:00
We most certainly require a RB PK but it ain't going to happen now.
09 Aug 2026 16:52:19
Ramsey was the best player for us v Crystal Palace in EFL Cup last season, shouldve been given a chance, instead gets mocked and insulted by his coach. Says it all.
10 Aug 2026 12:49:57
Klopp saw something in Ramsay.
09 Aug 2026 12:58:48
I like Chiesa. Need to see him with more playing time.
09 Aug 2026 13:29:12
I'd like to see him got rid of. All about opinion.
09 Aug 2026 13:36:10
I disagree.
I think we've seen his ceiling in a Liverpool shirt and it's simply not good enough.
Same goes with Endo, Gomez and Elliot.
09 Aug 2026 13:45:56
You could add Jones and McAllister to that list. I like Jones, but he hasn't changed or improved the way he plays in the last few seasons, holds onto the ball way too long, but I'm 50/50 with him.
McAllister's diving around enrages me, can be unplayable on his day, but it's 1 game in 20, not good enough if we want our team to be challenging for anything.
09 Aug 2026 13:53:20
Has to go for me. There is a definite culling required and he would certainly be on that list.
09 Aug 2026 14:03:37
Federico's one of about 5 players in the squad who are not good enough for a squad trying to win the biggest trophies.
09 Aug 2026 14:15:11
Add Tsimkas to that list as well, Florian.
09 Aug 2026 14:18:43
Florian,
Endo, Chiesa, McConnell, Jones, Elliott, Gomez and maybe Frimpong could all do with a new club. It's a lot and possibly not achievable in this window, but I think it's hard to argue that any of these players are at the level required.
09 Aug 2026 14:27:24
No maybe about Frimpong, Rover!
09 Aug 2026 14:35:41
This post will underline just what a miserable git I am.
Regards to who we would get rid of. If push came to shove, out of the whole squad, there is only Alisson and Szoboszlai who I'd be desperate to keep. I wouldn't be bothered if we cashed in on any of the others.
Then again, in a few months time, I might completely change my mind and want to keep all of them.
This is in contrast to our glory years under Klopp, when, apart from Matip and Wijnaldum, I wouldn't have traded any of our players in.
09 Aug 2026 14:43:40
McConnell has always looked decent to me. I think the lad has some potential.
Frimpong: let's see how he does with a new coach, and hopefully free of his hamstring issues. Loved him at Leverkusen.
09 Aug 2026 14:44:03
Not sure we needed that post to justify your a miserable git Rome!
Sorry mate couldn't resist!
09 Aug 2026 15:06:13
Seeing as though Bradley, our right back, is injury prone, Gomez, the back up, is injury prone, and the fact that the ever present Salah has departed.
That leaves us pretty much threadbare as it stands for players who can play on the right for us in defence or attack even.
Frimpong can play anywhere on the right, so I can't see him being sold unless we bring in some more players.
His versatility might be absolutely vital covering that right flank.
I'm not convinced he is good enough for a starting position, but as a squad player I can't see why not. Especially as we have got rid of the "fitness" coaches that ruined everyone's fitness.
09 Aug 2026 15:12:59
Bristol, that's a fair comment, mate. My wife wouldn't disagree! Hope you're well.
09 Aug 2026 15:32:14
Oh he's on it, Bristol. 😁
09 Aug 2026 15:35:11
All good in the West Country mate. 👍
09 Aug 2026 16:39:49
@Rome, Isn't that some turn around all the same. Couldn't disagree with it either.
09 Aug 2026 20:17:30
Sorry Wijnaldum was class for us. Almost impossible to take the ball off of him. His ball retention was insane. And Barcelona doesn't happen without him.
Matip was also massive for us, just injury prone. What a free transfer that was!
