Let's not give up yet on the season. Yesterday we played really well and I don't see any team that is playing consistently including City. Thiago is immense and hopefully his injury will not be as bad. Any team will miss VVD and again let's hope its not as bad as people are saying. But if it is we have Allison to come back and Matip who played well and Gomez will just have to continue to grow. Not ideal but its not all over esp with our forward line and improved midfield.
My biggest worry is what VAR is doing to the game. Of course I'm bias and was so angry yesterday as they had a shocker but its happened to other teams this season and we will benefit from it in some games. However I would prefer to go back to what we had before and just let linesmen and referees make the decisions but at least we can celebrate goals without the fear that 5 mins later some guy in a hut in Shockley parks decides its offside as someone's toe nail is bigger than that of the defenders.

Spot on, OP. It is time to circle the wagons, dig deep and stay close together cos we are going to go threw a heavy storm right now.
