A number of rumours are suggesting Bentley could be a target and/ or a good acquisition for LFC.
Good God. If that "player" ever darkens our doorstep then we are truly fecked as a club.
He would make the signing of Poulson look like good business (in my humble opinion).

Just reading the teletext gosip pages then and see we are linked with robert huth of all people and the sicknote that is Michael Johnson, am sorry but no no no no no. We should be signing the likes of shawcross, Carlton cole, and even i wouldn't mind leton Baines at Anfield beter then the complete an utter rubbish we have at left back aready, COME ON Roy get a grib i want to see proper signings good english talent and even foreign ones as well, GET THAT CHEQUE BOOK OUT HENRY AND PASS IT TO HODGSON, lets see what he does.

Give more playing time for J Cole, since he has been little bit rusty. It must take time to settle in a new team. He is unable to play continously for 3 or 4 matches (Red cards, Suspension, injury etc. . .).
Also the young players likes of Wilson, Kelly, Pacheco, Shelvey, spearing. .etc must get more playing time, so they can prove themselves for the future of the club.
Our team new owners must spend money only on fringe players (young) who the attitude to play for the club for a long term.
As far as the rumours it is good to see Honda in the following month at one of the greatest club in the world.

Why would we need a player like walcott? Just look at the goals he scores he makes heskey look like a natural goal machine! Walcott had only got pace but he can't finish and he can't cross a ball - and for the money arsenal would want for him we would be better off using it somewhere else, it's the reason why arsenal keep him on the bench because he can't hit a cows apse with a banjo! !

Yes but they are the most expensive chooses possible. Aguero would not join us and he would cost an arm and a leg. Johnson might want to join us but I think we lost our chance to sign him. Also city won't sell to us. Young might be the only realistic player but he's very overrated and has only had one good season at villa. The others were fairly average. Why do you do this site ed on Xmas?

I think we will make 2-3 signings this Jan which i think will be. .
Wolfswinkel. . aparently made a 8.5m bid for him which i think is too much really id rather see like 5m on him
Honda 10-12M?-a lot of reports about him coming and he seems ideal with shirtsales and boost LFC in asia only i don't think CAM is our main problem with Gerrard and Cole both playing there and putting Honda on the wing won't solve our problems as we have been sticking central players out on the wing for too long. So hopefully we will get a winger even N'Zogbia i think would be a decent addition to the squad even if he wouldn't start.
I dout we will sell anyone until the summer maybe a loan or two but realistically a squad for the 2nd part of our season could be. .

I wouldn't dwell too much on the Huth and other players we do not think are good enough for our beloved club. . Just like the Aguero and Llorente rumours. .THEY ARE JUST RUMOURS! !
No one really knows who we are signing LFC are as tight as a drum at the moment (just like we said we wanted it to be) remember like the good old days when we just announced a player had signed and didn't give our rivals a heads up.
So like you all I look forward and pray that we buy the right players and 2011 is a much better year.

Honda is going to play on the left wing because we are vulnerable at left back, so he will be ample cover for konchesky's frailties. Roy has already expiremented with this tactic by playing Aurelio in front of Konchesky in the Europa League. That explains why Kuyt is & will continue to be 1st choice on th right flank (his hard running screens/ covers G Johnson's defensive frailties & allows the full back oppurtunities to push forward). Lucas's improvement thus far means he'll be our defensive/ holding mid with Miereles attacking from the midfield. Gerrard will play behind Torres to see if they can reproduce the lethal partnership of 2008/ 09. Agger will play alongside Skrtel replacing the injured Carra. Reina is a no brainer. If we buy Llorente, Gomez, Dzeko, Suarez or Hulk & Joe Cole hits top form there could be a few selection head aches. We could raise the money by selling Jova, Aqua, etc.

Hi ED i love the site btw. I want to say that i think mereiles has been a great signing and hasnt been given the credit he deserves. we need a striker and two natural wingers with pace and skill such as arda turan and n'zogbia and we would get them really cheap. There was a lot of hype about turan last january and im wondering if we are still looking at him or will comolli look towars the french league more??

Right straight to the point, who wants rafa back. . I certainly don't he ruined us last season with his dodgy signings. I.E Babbel, Rodriguez, Ngog. And now grandpa hodgon is left with the dead wood and getting slagged off, its not his fault We need to give roy until the end of the season at least we can't get rid of him now ok he has made some bab signing as well like poulsen and mummys boy Konchesky, but hese aint liverpool players and they never will be.Let Henry give Hodgson some munner in the transfer window and lets see what he does, there is a good spine there if eberyone is fit, we just need to strengthen in certain areas like 2 wingers a striker and a central defender cos we look weak now without carragher. Give Roy a chance Eh, if he doesn't prove himself or get us playing good gootball or at least in the top four then we can hold our hands up and say the Liverpool job was too big for Roy Hogson. Appoint owen coyle as next manager?? gotta be kidding. look the man has done great things with bolton but compare the two clubs. we have players on huge wages and we have some of the best in the world in our team. now bolton have good players, which owen is suited 2, but we can all agree that steven gerrard is better than fabrice muamba (spelling). owen would be another roy. lead his 'small' club to success, attract a big club like liverpool and so far, the results havnt be gone.

Hey, first off, just to wish a very merry crimbo to my fellow reds and the great eds on this site! !
Im not in the know in the club and do not have a source, and I read every opinion posted on this site and will express mine. .i see us buying 3 players in jan. .i do expect, even as much as people keep saying, that we will still push for as high a position as we can get and we will take every opportunity to do so. Nobody, even at this level of professionalism would ease off the trottle and write their chances of a high league position off. .for what nesv may spend in january for a decent winger and a proven striker would be compensated for with a champions league spot. Add to that perhaps another sqaud player, perhaps a winger until the summer. We belong in the champions league, we belong in the top four of the epl at least, we are LFC, YNWA! Roy Hodgson talks about building the club back up again , LFC one of the greatest football clubs ever has actually gone backwards under Roy Hodgson , even compared to last season .
I find it 'galling' to hear him talk about 'long term project' and 'back where LFC should be' when he has hindered the club as much as anyone during 2010 .
The sooner Roy Hodgson allows his talking to be done on the pitch whilst leaving the politicking behind the scenes for the owners to rule on , the better .

I am absolutely amazed that some people on here have suggested Sean O'Driscoll as a possible successor to RH. He has been managing for over 10 years now and the total sum of is achievements are 2 promotions through play-offs, a football league trophy and a manager of the month.
Have we not learnt our lesson by appointing unqualified, unsuitable, second rate managers.

In the sixty's we appointed a little known person to manage our club, Strong willed, outspoken, knew what he wanted. after him was a man who had never managed a team before but was a good coach. Twenty years later and loads of league titles, loads of European trophy's, FA Cups, etc there legends. The latter signed probably one of the greatest footballers ever to grace a pitch in Great Britain. Their names. . Billy Shankly, Bob Paisley, Kenny Dalglish. Shaun O'Driscoll isn't a great manager now, but he's gonna be the best, he has all the signs, Strong, confident, knows what he wants. I think he could be the man. we need to completely rebuild from the bottom up. Roy Hodgson is not a bad manager, if a new manager could turn a club around and win a title in 12 months with Liverpool then he'dbe super human. Roy will steady the ship, He's like a hatchet man in a big company who gets rid of the s* t and leaves a streamline machine behind. .ready for the serious manager. Comments Ed?

We are stuck in a vicious circle , we are of low interest to quality big name players because of no champions league football; because of woys poor tactics and very poor away results we will not get in c/ l next season; the chances of signing anyone to make the team stronger in january and grab 4th spot is virtually impossible, hence no c/ l next season; so when we get to the summer we will still be of low interest to big name signings, thus this proves that c/ l football is essential next season, otherwise we will be stuck in a never ending circle for quite a time.
nesv/ fenway need to act now, and do what is needed for the short term; to protect additional revenue that the c/ l gives along with the stature it provides to be successful, they must lay this foundation to rebuild our future, to provide a strong footing to their long term plans.
