I don't really come on this page to read about England and Spurs manager. If I did want to read about Redknapp i'm sure I could find enough places to get some info.
Seeing as a lot of Liverpool fan's don't give a flying feck about England,could anyone who does please use the conspiracy site please ha ha.

"Capello had been put in a difficult position. Not withstanding the fact that the FA had effectively undermined him - the manager picks and dismisses the Captain, not the board/committee, but the FA also saw fit to release in their statement that the manager supported Terry's removal when in fact he hadn't been consulted. Then Capello stated publicly that not only had he not been consulted (basically calling the FA liars), but as far as he was concerned Terry remained his Captain. I think at the meeting today ot was basically a case of the FA telling Capello that he must accept that they not he appoints the Captain and Capello for his part adopting the correct position that he as manager selects the Captain and that he as manager must remain loyal to his Captain and therefore unless the FA were willing to reinstate Terry then that left him - as a man of honour, no option other than to resign. 'Arry will now probably be in 'over-seeing mode' until the end of Spurs' season and will then take over. Personally I think he will be a disastrous England manager - he is a hands-on man whereas England manager is as much politics as football."
--------------------------

Just a couple of points
1) the FA certainly did inform Capello of their intent and he was involved in the discussions
2) Capello never said that as far as he was concerned Terry remained his captain
Please be fully aware of the facts before you post such statements

Chris in Tamworth

It's a Liverpool banter page anyway,

I beg to differ. Capello has stated on Italian TV that he was not consulted about nor informed of their intent (that interview is one of the reasons the FA summoned him). Not only that but he also stated that as far as he was concerned Terry was still his Captain He has stated this in several interviews with bith UK news agencies and foreign ones. Do keep up with events dear boy. RED LENIN

All this media and top football pundits wanting and demanding an English manager....Is't this a form of racism ., if you advertised a job stating only English need appy you would be in deep trouble...Never mind an English manager we need the best man for the job...Bobbinred

Sorry Red Lennin but you are assuming that the reports you have read in the English press are accurate accounts of the interview he gave on Italian tv. Sorry to disappoint you but it has been grossly mis reported (to put it mildly)
Maybe one of the Eds could confirm?

Chris in Tamworth {Ed001's Note - Capello has quit over it, so I think you can safely say you are wrong sorry Chris.}

Chjris In Tamworth - Sadly you are well wide of the mark. As you were writing your comments for instance, did you know that it was reported that Capello spent 1 hour in with the FA then 4 hours in negotiations with FA legal team regarding his severance package and the terms of the Gagging Order that he was served with. By late last night several UK senior sports writers close to Capello were openly stating that Capello was adamant during the FA meeting - Terry stays and he picks the Captain - hardly the stance of someone who the FA originally stated supported Terry's axing. The same reporters are also brieg=fing that at least ine other England player was approached by the FA to be an interim Captain and turned them down flat and that Terry will now quit international football along with possibly 1 or 2 other players. Capello left the UK this morning. Already Capello's bigrapher is stating that Capello really wanted out anyway and took this opportunity because he didn't rate the Engalnd team and was still appalled at some incidents that took place during the World Cup and believed that expectations of that team were beyond their capabilities and thinks they will struggle to get out of their group at the 2012 Championships.

Chris, You can actually watch the Itallian interview with Capello on Italy's RAI on the internet. There is no mistaking what Capello said. RED LENIN

I'm disappointed in you Ed001, obviously I'm aware that he has quit (the reasons are not so obvious to me) but please if you want to arm yourself with some facts I suggest you google "Kevin Buckley Capello" and listen to the interview which Kevin Buckley (Italian speaking correspondent) who heard the interview first hand, translates verbatim

Chris in Tamworth {Ed001's Note - as Red Lenin has pointed out, you can see the interview, there is no mistaking it, despite what some journo might want to make money from saying.}

Hi Eds,

According to wikipedia, Capello has resigned. Of course I've heard it on the TV, but now that I've seen it on wiki I know it's true.

I have to say I'd love 'Arry to become the next England manager, and unlike a lot of Liverpool fans I have +ve reasons for saying so 1) He's very good with players (let's face it) and 2) Spurs can return to mid table mediocrity where they belong :)

08 Feb 2012 21:48:09
Are we gona see a media uproar of fans on pitch in north east game tonight,doubt it.

Fuss madeve anything Lfc do.Non about N.East idiots on pitch

08 Feb 2012 21:48:02
Just watching LFC's most wantged - KK top 20 memorable moments.....Anyone on here who has any doubt what LFC means to this guy then suggest you record it next time it's on and remind yourself just what he means to us and what we mean to him! I've seen a few posts on here recently about how Kenny should treat the press/TV etc, can I ask would you treat someone with courtesy and respect while they in turn take every possible chance to have a go at you? No I don't think you would, Kenny has like the rest of only ever loved one "bird" in his life the one that sits proudly on our emblem! So he may make the occasional mistake in team selection but lets be honest here he will get it right given time, the man is a GENIUS! - TMac

Everybody knows what LFC means to Kenny. And everybody knows that the media enjoy taking a dig at LFC.

The question is: how should the club deal with it? Antagonizing the media even further is a no-no given that TV and the media is the gravy train for modern football. The fact that Kenny loves the club is not the point.

08 Feb 2012 21:45:08
all liverpool need in the summer is a £25-50m signing
who is an attacking midfielder

eg. Lucas
Neymar
Barrios
Marin

nut the player has to be very consistant

Lol you mean hazard,cavani,goetze,ozil,lavezzi, they are 25-50m

08 Feb 2012 21:43:58
Hi Edds

Is Liverpool's minimum target 4th place?
Will there be major repurcussions if we don't make it?
( Eg. Heads rolling, new signings etc...)

Cheers {Ed001's Note - no, it is a target and nope.}

08 Feb 2012 21:40:05
Hi Edds and everyone else
How old is Sterling? And how long would you say before he plays first team footy
He seems to have a better cross than anyone in the first team already lol let alone his pace and goal scoring ability
Cheers!

People are always asking for new signings that stops the development from reserves to first team . We end up selling them off on the cheap to make room for more unused young talent

08 Feb 2012 21:38:35
Hi eds & macca not a rumour just a question, do you think David Templeton of hearts would be a worthwhile buy for Liverpool, he is young, has pace and pops up with a goal here and there, and wouldn't be expensive. In my opinion a good squad player, what do you's think?
Please put on rumours page {Ed001's Note - no, not a player I feel is good enough for us.}

08 Feb 2012 21:32:04
So Capello resigns and Arry is red hot favourite, also just read on ssn that Arry could manage England on a part time basis.

This is how i see panning out

Arry takes over on part time basis for 3 friendly games, leaves Spuds at end of season and takes over England job for euros, you can the British media making good their excuses already if England have another p!ss poor tournament.

His resignation doesnt suprise me, the fa had no option but to strip Terry of captaincy, England captain awaiting trial wouldnt give the great publicity going into a major tournament would it ? escpecially when the fa are trying to crack down on racism.

On the flip side i hope this triggers a Spuds collapse, hopefully

Rebel_Red

They all think they're gonna get jose mourinho? they can't even afford adebayor's full wages while on loan, none too sure they'll get anywhere close to 'the special one's' annual lump!! current rumours of 13.5million euro's a season at real madrid!! good luck levy working that into your financial fair play accounts

Arry said he will manage england for the euros,as long as they are used and untracable,

Eds, what are your thoughts on muniain from athletic bilbao? I think he's a great player at his age already! {Ed001's Note - good player but they were asking 40m for him not so long ago, I don't think he is worth that.}

Press conference tomorrow

The Anfield cat wants to put his paws on the England job

The Anfield cat wants the money from the account Harry opened in his name. That's the real reason he was at Anfield on Monday, but Harry didn't show.

There's talk 'arry wanted to sign the cat to replace Ledley King, the cat is quicker and has four good knees

Anyone else hav a horrible feeling that UNITED will get a penalty or 2 in the game on saturday for a soft challenge or bad decision?

ACHILLES.

Who is the ref?

Doesnt matter who the ref is its at old trafford.

Who is the ref?...............I don't think Ferguson has decided yet!

MR EM

Couple of sending off's?

Who is the ref!! lol, no really tho.

The great thing is we'll still outscore them !

Howard Webb unfortunately

Dunnious

Hernadez ruined their little run, up until that goal their record was last 4 goals were all penalties .it seems new FA rules are 2 penalties per game if generous as suggested by Sir Alex 'should of had 4 'so we best score at least 5 goals to counter

Its on Sly Sports so I fear we'll get shafted so the sheople and neutrals have lots to talk about till Celebrity f***wits comes on later that evening

08 Feb 2012 20:54:15
Alright, I felt in the mood to start a discussion with this whole England thing going on at the moment.

WHO should be captain for England for the Euro's.
This may be biased, but I do think that Gerrard is the man, but only for the Euro's not after. I really think he can push England to the limit, especially since he'll be one of the seniors in the squad. Was having an argument with a friend of mine and he believes Parker deserves the captaincy, and I disagreed. Thoughts?

RenegadeRed

Gerrard is the only option in my opinion... (and most other people I have spoken to)

Richards

If it arry in charge then no doubt it will be parker i dont know how bothered martin kelly is at playing for england but if arry takes over he wont get a game due to him picking kyle walker wich will be good kelly cant get injured on england duty but a bit sad for the lad if he wants to play for england

'Arry redknapp isn't that arrogant. He will pick the best players! He won't just pick all Tottenham players.

Wayne rooney if they can't have one scumbag they'll have some other one rooney or joey barton

Stevie shouldnt accept it.Hes been used before>Whats the point of being 3rd choice,via default?

08 Feb 2012 20:48:46
BRILLIANT just when the spuds thought dirty Harry had got off, it seems hes destined for an even worse fate.......the England manager ! then he'll prove what a fraud he is.
Can the F.A get anything right ?

Niko

I've said before that I wouldn't want Rafa back as manager (maybe in some other role I'd take him) but he's not a bad pick for England I would suggest. However, Capello resigns on the same day as 'Arry gets cleared? Way too much of a coincidence I think

Chris in Tamworth

Capello had been put in a difficult position. 'Arry will now probably be in 'over-seeing mode' until the end of Spurs' season and will then take over. Personally I think he will be a disastrous England manager - he is a hands-on man whereas England manager is as much politics as football.

He might go to spurs if harry gets the england job

08 Feb 2012 20:44:00
with capello going because of john terry you would think terry would do the same as his manager , it will show just how much terry is a man of principle , hr should go , but there is one fact we forget about and that is terry is selfish , he should have stood down as captin till the court case is over , but again it showed how selfish terry is by getting his trial put back till the end of the euros , all this could have been over and done with if he had an early trial , im made up its backfired on him

Capello is not the first italian to leave a sinking ship !

08 Feb 2012 20:42:05
i dont care who the next england manager is as long as they dont pick rooney fatfrank and terry,id give it to ian holloway,plays good attacking football,jimmybosun,
ps eds,will you be bringing all the other sites back,missing menopausil men,lol {Ed001's Note - it is still there, just look in the dropdown menu for the other sites.}

Exactly who would you play ahead of rooney? bent? defoe? zamora? crouch? carrol? lol. none of them worthy of licking rooney's boots, metaphorically of course

Capello resigns...

Is there nothing that John Terry doesn't destroy, disrupt or spoil?

John Terry should now do the honourable thing and retire from international football.

John Terry is an absolute utter disgrace football and in his personal life.

I think as a football fan we all have a negative opinion of Terry. However, as a teacher of kids with behavioural problems, some of my pupils wrote him a letter asking him if he'd like to attend a little football tournament they were arranging. He couldn't, but he did send a pair of his football boots, a signed photo and letter. Kids were chuffed to bits as they were all Chelsea fans. I keep telling them they are nuts...

Lay off Terry, remember a little while ago everyone having a go at Surez and to an extent still are, it wasn;t nice. At the end of the day Terry is innocent untill proven guilty. Don't make the same mistake as the media did with Surez. let's wait and see....Bobbinred

Just watching SSN and on there it says a MAN UTD fan has been been BANNED for 3 years for RACIALLY abusing a Stoke City player.

Tha fan has ONLY been banned for 3 years and ifnI had not have read it I would not have known about this story because NO TV NEWS or SPN have actually ran a story on it,unlike the LFC fan the other week when it was ALL OVER THE MEDIA.

Hey Eds,
Quick question, what is your opinion on Jefferson Farfan of Shalke. I believe he will be available on a free at the end of the season. Do you think he is quality and what are his chances of coming?

Thanks {Ed016's Note - If you search "Bosman" you will find a comprehensive answer}

08 Feb 2012 18:51:20
Hi ed's which positions do you feel Liverpool need to improve the most in the summer? {Ed016's Note - Right Wing}

08 Feb 2012 19:35:45
We don't need any Centre midfielders. We have 4 amazing centre midfielders for the future in Lucas Leiva, Jay Spearing, Jordan Henderson and Jonjo Shelvey and even Charlie Adam who is only 26. We need to target a winger desperately! We need someone with pace and someone who isn't afraid of taking someone on - Adam Johnson springs to mind!

Jaysus Adam Johnson should have a worship page of his own

Hope harry takes over then thats the end of spurs little adventure up the table {Ed016's Note - I am hoping for that too.}

Dont give a s e about England,never have

Just heard on talksh!te that the FA's plan is for Pearce & Southgate to man the helm for the moment, and to form part of a management team at the end of the season.
Probably rubbish then.
The FA have arranged a press conference for tomorrow at 12pm and should shed some light on the matter.
On a personal note, as a fan of England FC, I hope Pearce isn't in charge for the Euro's. We may as well book the return flights for the end of the group stage.

Anybody watching Craig Bellamy's African dream on ITV4? Fantastic program and it shows what a great character he is and how he's helping Football grow in that country. Must watch if you have the chance.

I watched it, what he said about education being the most important is so true. The opportunity he is giving to those kids in that country is incredible. I hope the footballing community can support his work and expand what he is doing.

Not posted for a while but got to say suprised that of all teams to do so it was Spurs who pretty much parked the bus, I was fearful of there counter attack but there was seemingly none.

It was like when he defended our lead against city in the first round of the carling, sometimes if the teams defense is well rehearsed it can be hard to break down but the one thing that did annoy me was simple passing, balls that were meant to be easy became hard.

Next one the agenda is the Rooney twitter thing... How dare the guy who elbowed Wigans McArthur (off the ball) and get no card complain about Suarez's, the ref got it spot on.

But I digress -McMenemy

Rooney should work at fa-such a hypocrite

Hi ed,
In your own opinion do you think we will make the champions league this year?
thanks
JoshLfc {Ed002's Note - As I said at the start of the season - in the mix.}

I think if Bellamy would of been used as a striker and Suarez had Kuyt's place from the start of the spurs match we would of won, So i think if Kenny (NOT SLATING KENNY) uses the best players in their main positions we should get 4th but that is just my opinion

i got to say that we can't even beat spurs without their main players and no redknapp. how on earth did we not win the game, even though we had so many advantages?. that's another year of not getting our revenge (which i wanted). i know we will get beat by utd this week and still people always say after a loss or draw "lets talk about the positives". there is no positives, its all negatives. also who gives a crap about a cat on a pitch. hope it gets run over by lawn mower lol.

H**k you! that cat was awesome!

Sad little crying baby

They were only missing RDV and Lennon as first team players... the rest were there playing. Defoe is not 1st team regular really

We were missing Lucas and Enrique... plus, Suarez hadn't played since Christmas!

Sorry, a bit too hard on Liverpool. Spurs best players were Dawson and King, 'nuff said.

No, we weren't clinical enough but we've been that all season, so, overall, against a very good side, we did well and deserved to win.

Loads of crap m8, how would you know for sure man u will beat LIVERPOOL this weekend?
If you can see the future then tell us who are we going to sing in the summer?

Lol i posted the first comment. i agree with you that we missed some players of our own (lucas and suarez), but with a strong starting eleven that we had, we still couldn't beat spurs. if we won all those home games, we could be first place and challenging for the title. im happy that we are in the carling cup final, but if we get top 4 aswell, then that would be a great season. i do not like the europa league as it is a distraction. also the person who posted "sad little crying baby", chill out lol its only a cat.

I have a dilemma. I have tickets for Saturdays match :-) The only problem being they're for the utd end. So should I look to see if I can get them swapped on the day via a tout, or do I sit with the manc's and stick it right up their apse when we score, and probably get an early exit as a result . Your opinion is appreciated.

Go 2 the match u will have a few empty seats beside ya by the 80th min.... hopefully my result for satarday lfc 3-1 utd

That reminds of my first time at anfield my uncle took me and he was a leeds united fan i got a ticket for the kop but my grandma was worried about me been on my own as i was 12 so she got me a ticket with the bloody leeds fans it was ok till we scored and i was jumping up and down and had 3.500 angry leeds fans staring at me i got a bit nervous it didnt stop me celebrating the second tho got to say it was an uncomfortable journey on the coach on the way home with 60 odd pissed off leeds fans still wouldnt trade the experiance for the world tho just sit with the mancs if we score try not to celebrate too much you know how much bad losers they are lol

I sat with my 10 year old with the Sunderland fans at Anfield 1st game of the season... got free tickets through a Sunderland player... Oh boy, it was rowdy, fun though! You have to be far more thoughtful when you've got a kid with you.

Didn't help when my son started reading the club magazine that came with the program at half time!!!!

Thing is, it's hard not to react, I nearly jumped up and cheered when Carroll scored the goal that was ruled off-side (WHICH WAS NOT OFF-SIDE!)

And when Downing hit the crossbar! I shouted out Ohhhh... and said something like "....urm, that was close, I'm so glad that didn't go in!" in the plainest accent I could muster... sounded like Jeremy Clarkson on helium!

Stood next to huge guy who grabbed my son with excitement when they scored. My boy's eyes were as wide as I've ever seen them, he just looked at me saying help!... I quietly applauded (justified, only because the goal was well taken to be fair)... they just sang, if you hate Newcastle clap your hands over and over...

If a kids not with you I reckon you'll be fine, but celebrating - na, not because you'll get abuse but you'll probably be banned for life in the current climate.

Red bullet proof vest, helmet, goggles, big boots, and LFC shirt with Suarez's name and number on,
Best to go down fighting.
Reminds me of Billy Conolly's account of his first visit to Ibrox dressed in his Celtic kit, got stuck in with the Rangers fans.
Its a hoot, listen to it for inspiration.
Go well, and enjoy.
Food for thought.

If you think United are a one man team - that is Howard Webb

Click agree otherwise click disagree

steve068

He is plain and simply United's 12th man...I still find it hard to believe he is allowed to referee their matches...No wonder Fergie said he has been the best referee last season Looks like he is going for the double.

MJ

I remember when Webb was largely impartial and the best ref around...how he's fallen! Mike Riley used to be Fergie's go to guy, I think he gave something like 35 penalties at Old trafford! i wonder who will be the next one when they need a result?

i know this going to sound crazy but.... we do not need a striker. we have suso ngoo ecclestone morgan adojan sterling etc. amount of youth strikers all moving up soon or they will want to leave. most will eventually be good enough for first team. mainly sterling suso and maybe adorjan in my opinion. so that is fine we do not need a striker

i think silva of our academy is a great player aswell when he wants to be. so we need him in that minds set. when he does show up to play he is one of the most under-rated wingers in the reserve world.

David will move up in a season or two aswell.

and for connor coady and Co. they speak for themselves.

in four-five years we will have one of the best teams again. so let what happens this season happen. we should get europa qualification and really push for CL next season. dont batter me to hard if you will on this comment. Thanks Ed, really needed to be said

Well done Harry Rednapp. Thank god you weren't being judged on the balance of probabilities act!!!!!!

As a spurs fan I've always thought Harry and his dog were fine upstanding pillars of the community!!

Why ''well done'' ? The guy had a secret account in Monaco and failed to mention it to the authorities , that means you and I pay more tax . {Ed002's Note - The money was not taxable so you have not lost out. The cost of the investigation will be in millions and that will come out of the public purse though.}

Hands up all those with secret accounts in the names of their dogs ( or cats ) .

The money was paid by Mandaric to Redknapp as "an investment". I have asked my boss if he can forget paying me a salary, (subject to tax and NI) and pay me as an investment. I like it, and I want some!One rule for the rich?

Mr Redknapp - can you please send me the name of your lawyer in case I need one in the future.

Mr K.Dodd

Harry was cleared but the dog got 10 years

What has happened to English football the past few years? It was only a few years ago liverpool won the champions league and arsenal were in the final, man utd made a few finals and won one, chelsea made a final....now no english side looks anywhere near the level of barcelona or real madrid...its like over the last 2 seasons that have pulled so far ahead its almost inevitable one of them will win it. With the prem the richest league in the world surely barca/real don't have that much more to spend on players.

I mean compare this:

carroll same price as david villa
henderson very similar price to alexis sanchez
torres more than fabregas, benzema, or alonso

So english sides spend money just why are they so far behind all of a sudden?

any thoughts?

ToonFan

I'm a spurs fan and I'm waiting to hear what pratini and the goose stepping blatter have to say regarding Barcelona

It's probably a mix of societal and social factors, as well as a lack of attention to coaching. Very boring and would take years to study in great enough detail

Red Ollie

Henderson cost around 10 million pounds less than Sanchez and the fee for Carroll was purely based on how much Chelsea paid for Torres. All Liverpool wanted to do was make 15 million pounds on the swap. Personally, I think they could have done business a little better on that deal, but that's just me.

I believe it's because the old fashioned 'British style of play' is becoming void and more of the continental teams play more pass and move systems rather than just lumping the ball up to the 'big striker'.

British football has fallen back to the bad old days. Creativity is stamped out at grass roots level in favour of size and strength.

That is why even though Wenger does my head in with his moaning etc he at least has a good philosophy when it comes to bringing through young skillfull players.

davethebutcher

davethebutcher

Hendo was much cheaper than sanchez
Shanio1

As the coach of an U10 team, I take offence to the generalisation the creativity is being stamped out at grass roots level. If anything, coaches are encouraged to promote it. The FA are useless on many things, but they do seem to be trying to get things right on kids football/mini soccer

Sorry mate, no offence intended.

Maybe/hopefully things have started moving in the right direction.

davethebutcher

And how much money is hendo/caroll on? Barca can pay the big bucks cos there the biggest club in the world with a 90,000 stadium (not that I would change a rocking anfield).

We are not citeh or barca or Madrid.

Recent post states that: glad Liverpool did not sign Sylvan Marveaux who went to Newcastle as he is out injured for the season - I wish we had not signed Andy Carroll for 35 million.

Maybe it about time we all just backed our players I have slated them in the past but I'll hold my hands up it was out of frustration I was wrong let's just get behind them and it will come good it's bound to be hard enough for them without us slagging them cheers DES

Where 7th in the league, when there sitting in 4th or higher then we will lay off them, until then....

You would swear we were 15 points off 4th cheers DES

Is Twitter a good thing for footballers?

As someone who doesn't use it at all but does follow sites that reference it I am getting increasingly annoyed by players commenting on things that they have no business in... and in most cases are not intelligent enough to write a considered or articulate opinion on such as;

Rooney on Suarez...
Ferdinand on everything and everyone...
Barton... (when did he become Aristotle?)

Maybe it's old fashioned but I just think footballers should generally just keep quiet unless interviewed... Thoughts appreciated.

Richards

I agree 100% then they stand a better chance of reaching there full potential

I love the Barton twitter thing? A £50000 a wk Socialist come man of the people!! He must think he's Some of god with all the followers. 90% are just abusing him. With his family history I'd of thought he'd of stayed well clear of any racist debating!!

I personally think they should be professional enough to keep there opinion to themselves.

Social networking sites have made it ok for people to plaster all there views/feelings/emotions all over the web, when in reality the type of people that feel the need to use these sites opinions are worth very little.

davethebutcher

Davethebutcher, I agree... certainly they shouldn't be commenting on things that could incite further issues and frankly doesn't concern them. I'm no Terry fan but it's ridiculous for Barton to act all self righteous considering his own past indiscretions, in particular with an ongoing legal issues of the case...

Richards

Spot on, as much as I dislike Jon Terry, Joey Barton taking the moral highground is both hilarious and pathetic in equal measure.

Who cares if we don't get a top 4 position this season. All the clubs clammering to get into the top 4 all due to the money and losing sight of what football is all about - the glory! Kenny has taken us to one final with a high possibility of a second this season where we may win a trophy and get the glory.
OK you get an extra £20m for being in the group stages but it's quite easy to blow that on a De Gea, Aquilani, Robbie Keane, Downing, Veron and get no return!
Also with Real and Barca so strong no english team will win the champions league next year anyway.
I'll be happy to get into Europa Cup and blood all the youngsters next year - Cody, Sterling & the rest.
The first team next season can concentrate on winning the league which I'm sure we can with one or two more high profile signings.

The trouble is, attracting these one or two high profile signings will be harder due to the fact we wouldnt have champion league football. It's a bit of a catch 22.

The white and blue strip as our away kit clashes with the scummers shorts and socks.

Was at the match on Monday v spurs, was a good game but was shame we had the same problem that we couldn't get the ball in the back of the net. They were definitely there for the taking aswell. I feel as if we need a proper tricky winger in the summer, as downing unfortunately is not the player I and many thought we had signed. He seems unable to cross the ball or even take a man on. Carroll played very well too, he did everything asked of him. Ie; hold the ball, win every airial battle and pass it to the wright player at the wright time. We just need some1 to read his game better, the amount of times he knocked the ball down in to the area somebody needed to be there ready but they weren't. With better service and Suarez, bellers and stevie reading his game I think we will score many more goals. Thank you. LangLFC

Downing is fast becoming the poorest signing

Bit concerned about Saturday. If Utd carry on their consistency then 4 dives = 2 penalties away from home so they will probably get 3 of them at OT. This means we will have to score 4 times. If they are playing Webb at central referee we will probably lose Stevie or Luis for jumping out of the way of Scholes studs.

I know it is me being negative but in rainy Manchester at the Theatre of Wet Dreams with only half our normal travelling support it will take a huge effort.

Having said that though, Pepe will save the penalties, Webb will do his cruciate and Carroll will score the winner!

Kev

Webb, who is refereeing elsewhere, is more likely than Reina is to save a penalty. You must be a very old man (or woman) if you can remember the last one he saved during the course of a match. He never even looks like stopping one.
Dutchmal

Hi Ed - you cut a little bit out that post again I think. That doesn't matter - it looks good (and as true) as it is. I am beginning to appreciate this site more and more.I have just been reading comments on the Daily Mail site and quite frankly most of them are disgusting. However the language is reasonable, more than I can say for a lot of other sites. How these comments are allowed to be put on paper I do not know. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Dutchmal

last Reina pen save was from Shrek- unfortunately he got the rebound.

Mrpjd

THIRTY-TWO penalties have been taken against Reina - TWENTY-EIGHT have been scored. I think that this disproves his reputation as a penalty stopper. Even Tommy Lawrence had a better record (6 out of 17 stopped). Could the unnamed poster also explain to me the remark about women celled Kev? I'm afraid it doesn't make sense to me.

KK should just keep his mouth shut. The Suarez story is finished, he has served his ban - forget it! I am a Liverpool fan through and through but I honestly believe that KK is the reason lots of fans are beginning to dislike our club.
RedBill

I agree that perhaps he shouldn't have said it, but at least he's standing by his convictions and fair play play to him for it. I for one couldn't care what the fans of other teams think.

davethebutcher

Then if that's the case, those fans you talk about can all happily do one as far as I'm concerned. If they're not with us, they're against us. Read all the sh1t that the media and bandwagon jumpers are spouting about us, and then tell me you don't want someone who knows us better than anyone, who lives and breathes the club, fighting our corner. If you still don't know, you never will, and the further you are from our club the better.

Sean.

Man utd one of biggest clubs in world? Bull s/)t. I am currently buying from wholesalers and selling o. E bay. Just random itoms until I find something popular enough to Merritt it's own website. Any way I'll get to the point. I put some junior man utd shirts on there 3 days ago and there has been one view. In the same time there have been 20 views on a lava lamp. I find this hilarious. And stressful at the same time.

Lava lamps are only 30 years old though mate. An original Giggs or Scholes shirt would be old enough to put in the proper antique section on ebay! ;)

Strange Paradox...

When Sir Alex Ferguson is grumpy to press and gives short thrift replies, he is cooed over and reported as being 'a great manager' ... 'handles the press'

When Dalglish does it, he is reported as disrespectful.

( As a note, Kenny is only behaving to the media the way SAF has done for the last 15 years, because he can. Kenny is deliberately being cheeky, uppy and strong - because in his mind, if its good enough for Man U and SAF to act like that, its good enough for LFC. That uber confidence and bite will rub off on the team too. LFC. This, afterall - Is Anfield.

When Mourinho attracts lots of media interest from his controversial comments, the press report 'oh, he is so clever, he is distracting attention from his team - what a genius!' ('oh look...he has a knotted scarf..dahling!)

When Dalglish attracts controversey, he is seen to be bringing flack to LFC and it is questioned what he is doing. Funny how nobody thinks he is doing this to give his players a bit of time away from the spotlight eh?

My personal view is that when SAF famously said about 'knocking them off their perch' - what he really meant was knocking Kenny Dalglish from the very top of Scottish, English and British football. SAF was never the player that Kenny was and he does not have his history. Yes, SAF's teams were successfull. But people remember Beckham & Cantona & Ronaldo. A plastic footballer, a fool and a cheat who did not even want to live in Manchester. They will not remember SAF.

SAF will never be loved like Kenny. He never won a double as a player manager. He has never taken a team from the Championship to be Premiership Champions. SAF spends his time and money and influence on horse racing, internet businesses and disputes with the BBC. Kenny spent time away from football after tragedy to focus on family, raising money for cancer treatments and justice for Hillsborough.

SAF can patronise all the other managers by ringing them up and 'giving them some advice' and act as if he is the Lord of the Game. But deep down, in his very deep soul, SAF knows that he is not in the same League as Kenny Dalglish. In Scotland. In England. In history. And now. As a player and as a manager. He never was. And never will be. How he must hate that just as his career is coming to an end, Kenny has come back to haunt him again. And when in TV previews they show not only Kenny as a manager, but clips of Kenny scoring goals and being one of the greatest players ever in the British game. How it must hurt..

SAF cannot intimidate, grandstand, dazzle, out think or impress Kenny Dalglish. If he does, our manager will just smile and say ...

'you'll get more sense out of my daughter'

YNWA

Nice post Drew. Nick

Great post

Post of the day

You dont think people will remember SAF. I don't like him but that seems a little deluded.

Ask the young kids who paisley or Shankley is they dont no until told when the other fella dies or retires in ten years time the kids will be the same with him because some one will come along and knock him and his club off there perch sooner than later I hope

Of course people will remember him! When he steps down and manutd are struggling to get in the top 10 every year. The media will go on and on how things were much better when he was around.

Hi,

First time poster, long time reader

I have 6 friends who are undertaking a 76 mile run in the aid of The Hillsborough Justice Campaign (HJC) and The Hillsborough Families Support Group (HFSG)

They will run 76 miles in less than 3 days from Hillsborough to Anfield, arriving just before the kick off against Fulham FC on the morning of April 14th. The six runners will be raising funds along the route and online for the families of the Hillsborough Disaster and to help those who would keep the focus on the continuing quest for justice for the 96 victims.

We have had interest from ex-liverpool Greats including Ron Yeats, Ian Callaghan, Ian St. John & Chris Lawler. Jamie Carragher has also been involved along with Karen Elizabeth Gill (Bill Shankly's Grandaughter)

If you could please raise awareness of this charity event, and if possible please support/donate.

Thank you for reading

Kenny is getting a bit of stick for his press conferences and post match comments at the moment but at least he is going in front of the cameras. In a similar situation Fergie would just throw his toys out the pram and totally boycott the press. These clowns from the Mirror etc, who are regularly coming out with trash at 7am on TalkSport, really don't like it. They were saying this morning that the fans want to hear the answers to the questions being asked and Kenny is letting them down. What a load of bull, the press played their part in the Suarez decision and have been trying to put the name of Liverpool Football Club in the gutter ever since. Kenny loves the club and will fight anyone who tries to tarnish its name and reputation. I am 100% behind you Kenny and 100% behind Suarez.

When are saring 11 is match fit, we have no one to fear. Arguably the best keeper in the league. Statistically the best defence. Decent midfielders. Gerrard/Suarez partnership has the potential to be one of the best in the world. Bellamy/Carroll/Kuyt to choose from as strikers. So if we add the right players in the summer & introduce a youngster or two, we should really be in the race next year this time. Imagine if we had scored rather than hit the wood work. We would be right there already.

For me Taylor F.A and Piara all is a Clown . and double Standard. as they just busy with Suarez issue why not they ask Ferdinand to shake hand of Terry. The evidence is there on you tube a kid s also can hear what terry say but FA wait until end of the season to punish terry. then why so rush for Suarez ? just Because Suarez is not a British? For me Taylor F.A and Piara are the real Racist.

rock. {Ed002's Note - It has been explained on numerous occasions why The FA have yet to charge Terry. Try and get over your paranoia.}

Ed if you actually do some intelligent investigation you will understand that there was a gap between the terry incident and the complaint made to the police by a "member of the public".

During this time there was no reason why the FA couldnt have dealt with Terry. Why wasnt he dealt with instantly?

The FA charged Ballotelli and Suarez (fulham gesture) within a day. Now until you can explain why during this gap the FA didnt deal with Terry then your arguments about us being paranoid are worthless. Idiot.

Leo {Ed002's Note - I don't know whay I have to put up with obnoxious glifnard's like you Leo. Yet again your ignorance comes to the fore for all to see again. You say “if you actually do some intelligent investigation you will understand that there was a gap between the terry incident and the complaint made to the police” – that is yet again offensive toward me and palpable nonsense, like every other word you have written. The match ended around six on the Sunday afternoon and the complaint was made to the police by Monday morning – so there was no gap for the FA to consider the matter and act at all – or do you think the FA disciplinary committee meets over night. As such the police investigation was underway on the Monday morning – far less than a day after the match finished. I hope that provides you with a suitable explanation for your point “Now until you can explain why during this gap the FA didnt deal with Terry then your arguments about us being paranoid are worthless. Idiot.” And that you can now retract your statement and apologise. Don’t bother we all know that you won’t. You remain paranoid – and an absolute embarrassment to the club and the other supporters. Your ridiculous ravings last week about a conspiracy between The FA and John Terry’s legal team showed what a complete cretin you really are, particularly after they took the captaincy away – thank you for bettering it this week with your latest pitiful drivel.}

Be interesting to see if he gets found not guilty in court if the FA can then find him guilty themselves afterwards. Because in the video you can clearly see what Terry says! If he is cleared maybe it would of been better if Suarez had been charged by the Police/cps. Don't know what you think Ed but it would surely be near impossible for FA to charge Terry if criminal court find him not Guilty. {Ed002's Note - It rather depends what they charge him with. It is not simply a case of the words that were said.}

Why have a dig at the Ed? Ed2 and I think Ed1 both explained this before. Seems to me you have a problem. James {Ed002's Note - James - thanks for the support but it is probably best to simply avoid Leo completely. He seems to have a problem with the Editors and me in particular and he seems to have a problem assimilating information. It is clearly a very complex place inside his head and distinguishing something with a basis in fact from some conspiracy he has made up seems near impossible for him.}

Ed every statement you make is never backed up with any facts whatsoever.

The police spent "a week assessing a complaint from a member of the public before announcing an investigation"

The FA had a full entire week to deal with Terry before any investigation was even started.

How are you gonna explain this away?

Leo {Ed002's Note - It was a Police matter relating to a complaint made by a member of the public. There is no way that the FA would act. You really seem to be some sort of half-wit Leo. Take it to the conspiracy pages as you are clearly pissing everyone off here with your gibberish.}

Leo the lame-o then ha

Ed002,
Footballers who are charged to appear in court (and this would have included Gerrard by the way) could be put fairly quickly on an FA charge for 'bringing the game in to disrepute' surely ?
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - There is separation between the civil and criminal legal systems and the FA's disciplinary system that allows the FA to deal with matters that happen at games. Sometimes the police become involved with incidents involving the crowd but rarely with matters on the pitch. The charges against Terry are much better compared with the case brought against Gerrard than the matters surrounding Suarez. Both faced charges that resulted from complaints made by the public and moved from the initial civil process to criminal charges being brought. Both cases were scheduled to be addressed in the close season for similar reasons. The defence in both cases was not a denial of the events (a fight in the case of Gerrard and irresponsible verbal abuse in the case of Terry) but something quite separate. I would think that regardless of the outcome, a charge of “bringing the game in to disrepute” would likely be regarded as fickle and vindictive – however appropriate it would be.}

If you think about "even though I don't like to agree with ed2!!lol. The member of the public would of obviously rang the police about the issue and not the FA at 1800 on a Sunday night. Which would mean the police would of informed the FA about said issue!!
Lyndon {Ed002's Note - Right. By their own admission the FA knew of the complaint on Monday morning.}

Just ban him!

Okay since you seem to be fed up of my "delusional ramblings" I will not post on this site ever again.

I am genuinely sorry to Ed002 for throwing dirt on your comments and generally not listening to what you have to say...it is arrogant and not fair and im sorry.

I will leave with this...

It is a coincidence that Terry was not dealt with immediately by the FA, it is a coincidence that his trial is not until after the Euros, it is a coincidence that the cameras in the tunnel that Princess Diana died are on 24/7 except the night she died, it is coincidence that Bin ladens body is thrown into the sea never to be found after he died, it is coincidence that the Bush familys company were in charge of the security fo the twin towers on 911, it is coincidence that JFK and anybody else that goes against the status quo are murdered in suspicious circumstances, it is coincidence that the government make a song and dance about hard drugs yet the 2 biggest killers tobacco and alcohol are sold on every shop corner.

Everything is just a coincidence and im just a delusional, crazy man.

This society is broken because people like you follow and believe eveything you are told and swallow anything the authoites tell you.

Terry is guilty. I know it, you know it and everybody with eyes and ears knows it but he will probably get off on a legal technicality. Its a joke and yes it is a conspiracy to save the face of english football.

This is the problem with society. Intelligent, inquistive people like me are abused, marginalised and labelled as "delusional" or "crazy" when in fact we talk the most sense.

There are no coincidences in life...only purpose.

Over and out.

Leo {Ed002's Note - I will try and address each of the issues you raise Leo – and the conspiracy page is the place to take all of this. (1) It is not a co-incidence that Terry was not dealt with immediately by the FA as by the morning after the incident the police were dealing with a complaint from a member of the public and had informed the FA of this. There was no time to act, no co-incidence, and no conspiracy. (2) It is not a co-incidence that the trial has been put off until the summer but this was not in collusion with the FA otherwise they would not have taken the captaincy from him. For the record, Terry was informed by phone of this happening by the FA and not through TalkSport as someone else suggested. The Terry case was similar to the Gerrard case in this respect and the Gerrard case provides a much better example for comparison that the matters surrounding Suarez where no complaint was made to the police and no consideration was therefore given by the CPS as you previously stated. (3) I was in Paris at the time of the accident that killed the Princess of Wales and this is perhaps one you should take to the conspiracy pages. (4) I cannot comment on matters surrounding Bin Laden but I am aware that events were broadcast in real time. As for the body, I am not sure what you would expect to find but, not unreasonably, the powers that be would want to avoid any chance of a shrine being created anywhere. Perhaps another one for you to take to the conspiracy pages. (5) I don’t recall who was in control of security on 911 but am assuming you are talking of Haliburton. I would recommend you find a UK copy of Greg Palast’s book “The Best Democracy Money Can Buy”. I rather think that you would like Greg and his writing. (6) There is plenty on JFK but I am not sure that everyone who has gone against the “status quo” has been murdered in suspicious circumstances. (7) Tobacco and alcohol provide a significant financial income to the government although are offset by health costs. Comparing hard drugs is probably not sensible but perhaps a little weed and a few caps of orange sunshine and you will have a case. My recommendation to you is take this to the conspiracy pages. (8) I am pretty sure that I have not said that all of these issues are co-incidence, but I can say that there is nothing co-incidental about the Terry case. I explained right at the start the matter would be dealt with in the courts and the case deferred to later in the year – this is similar to the Gerrard case if you think back. (9) You say “people like you follow and believe eveything you are told and swallow anything the authoites tell you” (sic) and I would like you to explain how you draw that conclusion. Do you know what I do for a living? Perhaps if you did it would change your mind. Do you know that I am an American and grew up when the Black Panthers, the Free Speech Movement and the Vietnam War were the local issues? Are you aware I was and remain a Berkeley hippie who attended numerous demonstrations back in the day? Obviously not, but yet again it does not stop you throwing out these ignorant and frivolous statements. Perhaps you should work on that issue and then maybe you could enter in to a rational discussion. And perhaps you can see why so many seem to have a problem with your view. (10) You state “Terry is guilty. I know it, you know it and everybody with eyes and ears knows it” – so you have drawn this conclusion without the evidence of defence being put to you for consideration. I find it most interesting that you can call out all of these so called conspiracies, and then yourself know of someone’s guilt without having any of the evidence available to you. Terry is certainly guilty of uttering the well reported words, but I would rather wait to see what defence case is put to see if he is guilty of the charges laid against him – us Berkeley hippies believe in democracy. (11) Your final point that the problem with society is that “Intelligent, inquistive people like me are abused, marginalised and labelled as "delusional" or "crazy" when in fact we talk the most sense” is rather lost when you have just announced Terry’s guilt without seeing any evidence.
We do however thank you for your input and I have no doubts that you will be welcome with open arms on the conspiracy pages. I may even take to editing a few posts over there as well. Me stalking you? No, just co-incidence.}

A disrepute charge would be appropriate ed, that was my point.
The Terry (& Gerrard, even though it was away from the ground) cases clearly do the image of the game no good at all.
So, if there was a blanket FA policy on cases of footballers being charged by the CPS, that gave for eg 3 or 4 games ban, the fans could see a swift, consistent and transparent approach by the FA.
Something that they're often accused of getting wrong, in fans' eyes at least.
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - There is no way that the FA would put charges of bringing the game in to disrepute before any civil or criminal proceedings were concluded. What would happen if the player was found not guilty? It would be absolute bedlam.}

Leo. Because Terry was under Police investigation of the alleged offence it would be WRONG of the FA to do anything - they would merely be seen as at best impeding a Police investigation and at worst interfering in one. So in Terry's case, the FA has no option other than to wait until the Police have finished. Understand? Suarez's incidedent did not involve the Police and as a result the FA were able to press on. The difference between the two is 'POLICE INVESTIGATION & INVOLVEMENT'. Got it? RED LENIN

If the FA found him Guilty Leo it prejudice the criminal case. which you can see over the weekend with the Lord chief justice looking into comments by Joey Barton about said case. I doubt the FA by Law are even allowed to talk about the case.
Lyndon.

Ha, but that goes to the crux of the matter. The different levels of guilt probability of criminal & FA / Civil cases.
How could Suarez be banned on one level, and eg Terry got off on another ?
Yes, they are different legal systems.
But my point was that, purely from the football viewpoint, there should be an even playing field.
You can't have footballers, even Harry, getting charged and not having any football sanction at all.
Has Terry's case brought the game in to disrepute - yes.
Did Harry - yes, did Gerrard, yes.
Bang, 4 game ban.
Any other legal matter could be dealt separately by the proper authority.
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - It would never happen or work KB.}

Sorry mate (Leo) I never post but I have to say. You can find a conspiracy in anything if you look hard enough. Torres being sold or the moon landings. But man did land on the moon and Torres wanted to go, so stop worry about Terry I don't care and never will. Unless your going to protest on Suarez behalf or get the fa to hand out a ban, there is nothing we can do.    Suarez is back and that's all that matters YNWA M Murray

Where's Ed033 when you need him?!

dmedly :-)

You're almost better off admitting to nothing ed. Suarez should have kept his trap shut.
Harry's 'ignorance of the law' defence hasn't come back to bite him ed002 eh ?
Unbelievable.
That's what pi55es the fans off ed.
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - The problem is that the fans cannot separate certain issues in their mind - you cannot compare the Suarez case with Terry or Redknapp. You can compare the Gerrard case with Terry. I guess that the fans are not going to let the Suarez matter go.}

No, I think we do understand the two differing legal processes and the seriousness of a guilty charge in the criminal courts.
But getting off a criminal charge (even using the ignorance plea) should not mean the player / club is exempt from a more immediate FA charge. Hence my suggestion of a 'disrepute' cover-all.
Suarez has been damned in the media on the strength of the civil case. Terry could quite readily have his name 'cleared' and miss no games.
There is an issue in there, even if the legal processes cannot address it. Surely you can acknowledge that ?
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - There is nothing to stop The FA charging Terry regardless of the outcome of the court case as the charges will be against the FA Rules rather than the laws of the land. A catch all charge of disrepute is meaningless and would be impossible to enforce. The FA would no doubt be subject to claims against them where not guilty had been returned. Take your example of Harry Redknapp. He did not bring the game in to disrepute as a result of being charged; those charges were made as a result of a lengthy police investigation at the behest of the Revenue and subsequest consideration by the CPS. I honestly think you are getting worked up over an issue that does not need to be addressed. As I said, there is nothing whatsoever to stop The FA charging John Terry - regardless of whether or not he is found guilty in the court case. Perhaps your worry is simply that Terry will get off completely? In which case it is best not to seek these convoluted solutions and just stamp your feet up and down in and when that happens later in the year.}

Ed, cmon here. The basis of Harry's defence was the ignorance plea.
The exact same defence which you nailed (correctly, I may point out - and I agreed with you) Suarez on.
Anyway let's see what transpires with JT.
Thanks for your time with this by the way.
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - The claims were made as ignorance but the prosecution failed to prove that the money was taxable - that was the key issue and the Revenue have accepted that.}

I appreciate your comments Ed002.

Yes maybe I have already decided that Terry is guilty but the video clearly shows him calling ferdinand a "f****** black c***". I do not care what his defence is this is a racially motivated remark and does not need a court of law to determine this. I am not saying he is racist by nature but he is guilty of making a racial remark regardless of the outcome of his court case.

There is just no defence and this is my issue with the legal system. It is designed to both protect the constitution but also allow people like Terry to wiggle his way out of things. If it was any other profession and somebody had said what Terry did to a fellow employee they'd be sacked on the spot no question. It just doesnt seem fair.

The world is not all roses and blue skies Ed, ultimately that is my point. Not everything is as it seems and not everything you are told through the media is accurate.

Regarding the comment I made about Princess Di, Bin Laden, 911 etc there are just too many things that dont make sense and do not add up. Life is one big illusion and people just cant see it, it frustrates me to my core.

Its easy to label people conspiracy theorists but I only question things that dont make sense, thats all I do. Like how can a camera that is operating 24/7 be off in the tunnel Diana died in only on that specific day? ...doesnt make sense.

The pentagon is the most protected building in the world with over 50 cameras in and around the building yet there is not one clear video showing a plane crashing into it, really? ... doesnt make sense. How can you not question these things...if you want to call me a conspiracy theorist then thats fine but there are so many things in this world that do not add up and it is my belief that there are people in high places that effectively create our reality for us to for their own financial and political gains.

I understand my comments on here arent always appreciated but I am just a young guy trying to make sense of the world. Im not a bad person and I havent killed anyone :)

Leo

{Ed002's Note - I find it a great pity that you can see someone as guilty without any hope of them being given an opportunity to defend themselves. Pol Pot had very similar views to you. As for the rest you have again make an unsubstantiate point and ask how can I not question these things. How do you know that I have not questioned these issues at all? How do you know I have not been writing about such issues for years? What makes you think that video from the Pentagon was available - just not in the public domain? I have no problem with you questioning these and other issues but a Liverpool transfer forum is not the place to do it. I have not taken too much time to look at the Conspiracy pages but I suggest you take these issues over there and I will commit to having the powers that be add conspiracy controls to my utility belt and I will take a dip in to the dark side.}

So if Terry goes through the legal procedure and is found guilty and sentenced to what ever punishment does that mean any joe public who is called a racist name or is abused can go to the police and the person will go to court and be punished if found guilty .If so I can see there being an awful lot of court cases in the near future I think the legal system are opening a large can of worms which will cost the tax payer millions of pounds Terry should of been delt with by the FA been punished accordingly and the whole thing would of blown over but no the Terry case and Suarez case is draged through the media on a daily basis so what damage is this doing to football and the FA ? And now you have the said players being abused them selves by football crowds so do these two people have a case of personal abuse can they go to the police and make a complaint well if evra and ferdiand can bring cases why cant these two ? {Ed002's Note - I understand the maximum fine for a public order offence such as this is £2.5k. If a member of the public makes a complaint about being racially or otherwise abused the police have a duty to look in to the matter and decide if they wish to proceed, if they wish to refer the matter to the CPS, if they wish to drop it and if they wish to charge anyone with wasting police time – which removes all of the nonsense complaints. Terry could not have been dealt with by the FA as there was no complaint made to the FA or time to consider action until well after the complaint was made to the police. If a player is being abused by an individual member of the crowd then action will be taken to find them and bring them to justice through the courts, as has happened recently at Liverpool. If a player is being abused by a large proportion of the crowd then the FA will seek to take action against the club, as they have no way to sanction a large group of fans. And this is a regular occurrence with one London club being issued a warning before Christmas.}

Not directed at anyone just a general observation.

I wouldn't say anyone going to the conspiracy page is going to the dark side more like the silly side!

Its watered down pseudo conspiracy for newbies!

Do you think the ref had a...... 'NEXT QUESTION' lol don't you just love Kenny! He is pure LFC through and through and we are privileged to have such a great man with us! Let the media hate us, let other teams and other fans hate us, let them all get angry and envious for we are LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB and we shall rise again.
And to all who say 'Anfield is no longer a fortress' etc........just ask Spurs if that's true! They were scared sh*tless to come out and attack on Monday night! And the way Bale was nullified was fantastic to see

I can't wait till we destroy the scun on Saturday, always enjoy when give them a good whipping!,

Let us the fans, the team, the manager, the club come together and never walk alone!

Ps, if we're 'hated' now.. what word is going to be used when we get back to the top?! Personally the words 'inevitable greatness'come to mind.

Love to you all fellow reds, eds and macca

Y.N.W.A

K.Bennett

Nobody is envious of Liverpool FC, as there is nothing to be envious of. I also don't think people hate Liverpool either, but it is clear that people don't respect Liverpool or what this club stands for anymore.

You are a disillusioned fat lazy cat like the one we saw at the Spurs game.
Do you smoke weed sure sounds like it
AWS

Why should anyone be envious of liverpool . 7th in the league , due to get stuffed by Cardiff in the league cup, Euopa league next season , new signing will be Rushie , cause caroll cant score even when the goal is empty . £55 million of good young english talent , ha ha . Stop living in the past curly , Man utd will thump you on saturday and that will leave you 3 points in front of sunderland and heading down to the level of norwich and swansea

I am not able see the Spurs match and i want to know how we performed. Is spurs did what other man did in Anfield put the Man behind the Ball................
Indian Red

I only recall spurs getting close enough for 2 shots the rest of the time they played like a bottom half team trying desperately not to loose and not at all like a top team trying to win. Carroll and Suarez should both have scored. Carroll volleyed over the bar from 8 yards and Suarez put a free header from 6 yards straight at the keeper.
Pleased that we dominated a top team in great form but disapointed we didn't win.

Hope that helped.

Eric the red

Spurs defended well for long periods and counter attacked with very little threat.

Scott parker ran the midfield

Spearing could not buy a pass to a Liverpool player

Andy Carroll ran around and accomplished nothing

Gerrard disapperared after the opening 10 minutes of the match, for the first 10 minutes he was looking good.

Reina had very little to do all game but made a good save/interception from bale running on goal with only reina to beat, bale should have scored.

Squarez gave Parker a good kick in the stomach area.

Adam laboured about the pitch

Martin S. & Daniel A. played well

Bale & modric did not feature in any significant way much like the spurs attack.

Bale jumped on the ground a lot reminisent of squarz when he first came to Liverpool.

Towards the end of the match Suarez and Carroll both had decent chances Robble flowler would have put away.

Agger has a header he should have done better with but failed to find the target.

A fat cat invaded the pitch early on and was the highlight of the match. The Cat could move quicker than the Liverpool attack.

that's it really.

Spuds=stoke
k-h

Totally agree with this but for one extra point . Spurs felt so sorry for the reds and Caroll in particular , that they decided to sit back a bit and give them a chance . But as caroll couldnt hit a closed barn door , the end result was a boring 0-0 draw that was a fair result .
Davo

Well Davo i was of the understanding that Spurs were the new Barca and they dance there way through any defence. HHHMMMMMM.

KNEE JERK

^^ The money Liverpool have spent/wasted will come back and bite you....hopefully.

Did anyone see that massive t1t Lawrie Sanchez being interviewed after the Swindon v Barnet game? One of his players jumped completely after the ball had gone, kneed a Swindon player in the face and got red carded. So Mr Failure As A Manager says "well if that was a red, so was Suarez's last night." The reporter just lapped it roght up. Oh really? A mistimed kick is the same as deliberately kneeing someone in the grid then is it? No wonder you think getting beat 1 - 0 was the same as a victory, the tool. Kenny should have wound them up even more last night. He should have said " I bet you think it was an accident that he kicked Scott Parker. I bet you think he was aiming for Ledley King!" Every man and his dog wants to attack us lately; the men want to go after King Kenny, the fans and Luis, and the dogs want to go after our cats. F*ck 'em all.

Sean.

They are all just afraid of the unstoppable rise of the Liver bird

Unstoppable !! how many goals has he scored ? Unstoppable my @rse , he`s not the messiah , he`s not the messiah , he`s a very naughty boy !

Much Love

Suarez' kick wasn't really miss timed though really, he needs to calm down

Just like the mystical liver bird i feel all this paranoia about l/pool being under attack is all in your imagination.for goodness sake get over this saurez thing,he was out of order and got punished end off!.yes people are begining to sneer at l/pool fc,not because of what saurez did,but because of the poor way the club acted over the matter and now k.dalglish is making a bad situation worse,its a total calamity at the moment.the old saying,when you find yourself in a hole stop digging couldnt be more apt at the moment.yes we all support are clubs, but to follow blindly like a lemming over a cliff.NO i will not do that,and yes i will voice my opinion if i feel anyone at my beloved club ar,nt acting in the best interests of the club because its the club that matters and the club will be their a long time after employee,s including managers are long gone.so yes support your club wholeheartedly but not blindly,and certainly not at the expense of blurring the difference between right and wrong.so what would i do if if i was a l/pool fan?gobs shut everyone, and ffs kenny wise up and go on a charm offensive asap.
trev the gooner

Lawrie Sanchez has always hated Liverpool FC. It seems to go back to his days as a player at Wimbledon and manager at Wycombe. He always seems to make "controversial" comments about Liverpool.

Well you think everyone hates you! Lack of confidence pal

Sanchez long provem track record of slagging reds.

A question!.
Did the tabby cat spend more time in Spurs goal box than AC ??.

No, it didn't

The only thing missin on this post is 'RedTurk'

Carb

Was it the fox in the box that we've been looking for?

Jack the groove

The Cat was trying to replace Reina and catch Kenny's eye he'd heard Peter Bonneti a cat for Italy was lauded as one of the world's best goalkeepers and facied his chances of a run in the Liverpool team after watching some of reina's howlers on DVD.

I really have too much time on my hands ahh well hopefully back to work soon.

Blinko

The Tabby cat spent more time in the spurs box than AC it also moved more often then AC

After a draw against Spurs,my thoughts are that because of all the other draws at home this season,folks aren't giving the result against a team that well out played us a long time before we were down to nine men at their place.
Yes they did have plenty of injures but that's footy,all teams get em,we've been fortunate and it seems good medical staff because the've not really hurt us to much. That's why K.K keeps using the word squad I think. Well being 3rd would expect Spurs to have a strong squad,and the proved at Anfield their squad is more then handy. They came for a draw and got it. Well done them but I reckon their just happy to finish in the top 3,I don't see how they can be happy with that result if they were truly serious about a crack at the title.
That's upto them,but what we can do is go to old trafford on Saturday and beat a team who we know were not only capable of beating but have been more then comfy playing against and not only boot em out of the title race,but stick us right back in with a shout for a C.League spot.
If you'd of offered me 4 points from these to games I defo would've taken em,so let's get behind the team,and go and rinse these s**te starring Manc douches,and kick their sorry hide out of their last legitimate piece of silverware. The've always mocked the Europa league,so surely their not gonna count that are they. Muppets.

Jonson

You will be happy to finish 7th then? Think you might get that

Any other Reds watch the Superbowl, I know its not everyones 'cup of tea', but I just love the tactical aspects of the game.
Read that a 30 second advert cost between $3.5 million, yikes that is some serious tom.
The Lucas Oil stadium is fantastic, massive glass window at one end that can be opened and closed.
One really has to admire how the NFL teams optimize all their commercial activities.
Sorry, know its not football related.
Food for thought.

I did mate and i'm still gutted. My 2nd team/love, is the New England Patriots.

Right there with you Blair...honestly thought Brady was going to get it done in the final seconds...Love the coaching philosophy of the patriots...all about the team. Gutted, what a season they had. Credit to the giants though

Hi Blair.
Yeah, I am also a Patriots fan, so also gutted by the result.
If only the final "hail mary" by Tom Brady had been caught by Grangowski, could have been a dramtic last second win.
It was a great game though, I bunked the next work day.
Stunning stadium!.
Take care, regards Food for thought.

I actually took the browns to the Superbowl only this morning.

Ok so im as dissapointed as everyone else bout the result bt spurs are a great attackin side who came to anfield and put 11 men behind the ball all night.

They played for a draw and got it. To me that says teams still fear us at anfield!

We will make top four we gotta play newc arsenal and chelsea and they are all playing each other so gotta drop points!

Believe in the team and we will get there!

First person that ive seen that talks sense i will have a bet with anyone of 100 pounds says when liverpool meet chelsea we will be fourth and it will be a dead rubber in the final game against swansea put yer money wher yer mouth is let me know the terms and conditions

As they say, 'a fool and his money are easily parted'.
What about goal differnce mate, don't forget only 28 scored in 24 games (there are only 6 or 7 teams who have scored less), and 21 conceded, difference only 7.
It will go down to the final day!.
