Any chance the DOF, or similar position, will be given to Rafa?
His want for a return to Liverpool.
His agent confirming his return to the UK.
Our need for this position.
The European competition pedigree.
His ability to attract top level players.
Spanish.

Is a DoF at a top club a promotion for a coach/manager? Is Rafa at 59 the right age and experience.

IMO, heck NO! We are moving forward and the past needs to stay in the past.

Why on earth would anyone want this? If this were to happen anytime the manager would be under pressure he would feel Rafa wanting the Managers position breathing down their neck.

FUrthermore Rafa wasn't always a proponent of attractive football and his success in the transfer market is as dubious if not moreso than Rodgers. For every Reina, Torres and Alonso there is a Aquilani, Riera and Keane.

Not suggesting he replace Rodgers, but he does tick a good few boxes. His guidence for European competition and attracting top players as well as spotting a few. If Rodgers is left with the team selection and tactics in general as suggested on here the dof is likely but maybe not such a controlling position, Rafa does make up most of his short comings, which has been getting in top level players and failing in Europe.
It would be good to have someone who loves the club and the fans who'd see it more then just a job.

Has anyone really heard much or knows a great amount about the names dropped for DOF? Not counting Cruyff who's no chance, I've no idea about anyone else mentioned o their cv. Unlike Rafa

Rafa wants to come back to LFC at some point as manager so using him as a DOF over the current manager is a disaster and thank God fans don`t make such decisions.
