People saying Sell sturridge and buy a replacement are mad. Ings benteke and firmino are all capable there, and for every game we've played one up top. 3 for one position is enough, with origi too and sturridge around.

Sturridge around doing what exactly? he can't even do a light training without getting injured. People are turning against him as such just thinking what's best for the club and the targets of us the fans, the players and the club. If we have to buy a striker then we have to buy a striker.

Ings is out until the end of the season maybe a month before depending on how he progresses. Origi hasn't shown he is up to leading the line so far, Benteke dosent have the best track records of staying injury free and firmino i think prefers the number 10 role. So saying to buy a new striker in the winter dosent sound that bad if you put it that way does it?

We won't be buying any strikers in January, that would be a waste of money. Benteke has scored 5 goals in 9 starts and is doing very well, when he is out injured, Firmino can fill there. we have Danny Ings also who started very well and will suit Klopp and his pressing system.

Getting Sturridge fit is the only option for now, maybe in the summer if the club decides to move him on and also sell Yesil, Sinclair and Origi then we will need a ST but until that a striker and a number 10 is the last positions we need to fill.

People have been saying that Firmino 'favours' the no. 10 role, but I'm not sure we have any evidence of this.

He's played both no. 10 and false 9 for Hoff as well as for Brazil, and done well in both. I think he favors a central attacking role, which both positions fit.

I think Firmino would enjoy, and also excel, in either position for us, so long as he is playing with likewise fluid attackers. He links up with Coutinho and Lallana very well. Less no with Benteke, and this is not surprising. Over time, that will improve too, as Firmino matures.

The other thing I'll say about Firmino, is people give him a lot of guff for missing chances. This is true, but I just counsel patience. Suarez used to miss a tonne of chances in his first and second season with us (remember Suarez's ugly penalty miss against Sunderland in 2011? Against Brighton in 2012?).

The most important point, was that Suarez was getting the chances through creative movement, darting runs, pace, skill and guile in the final third. Eventually, Suarez honed his finishing and the goals cam in droves. Firmino, too, is creating similar kinds of chances for himself through similar movement/creativity/skill. I think the goals will also come, once he works on his final product.
