He plays in same position as mane and I would rather have mane. We need a LW that's why we were looking at Brandt. Personally I would have loved to have Mertens or Insigne, but unfortunately we don't have interest in either of them.

Salah can play either wing. Moreover if this season has taught us anything its that we need two players for each position. Our squad is too thin to compete on two fronts.

He can play on either wing but he is predominantly a RW like mane. And would it better to buy a LW if we need a LW instead of buying a RW and playing him there?
Also first off all we need to buy players for the positions we actually need, then may be think about buying players for competing positions.

If we are brining in someone to play alongside mane and to be replacement for mane when he's not available then probably not get someone who will go with him to african cup of nations.
