Evening all
I must say ed001 im a bit shocked and almost upset at the thought of going into next season without Emre. I really thought he would be an integral part of the squad this season and pushing to start most games. We will definitely need to replace him in that area of the field with both him and Lucas departing. Would you agree ed?
I searched for alternatives after Keita but seems most options have moved on already. Does it seem to be him only now?

I will be gutted to see him go.
However- what an attitude he is displaying.
He could sign a new contract and not get game time, or go to Juve and play.
Has to be admired for such a refreshing approach.

Without intending to be controversial, i don't think he will be missed too much.
Nor do i see anything special to be worried about.

So will I, OP. Emre has grown to be a very good player and a true warrior for us last season when he played thru injury to get us top 4. I will be sad if he left as he has grown in leaps and bounds since 2014 when he came to us. I really hope he stays.

You can argue that's been a bit inconsistent for us and from that point of view, and beyond missing him if Henderson gets injured, we won't see an immediate drop in performances due to not having him anymore.
But I think he's very close to becoming an excellent player, and we are going to look at him in a season or two and think: "Wow. That Can lad's amazing. Why didn't we keep him? "

You're wrong Davey, he has all the quality to get as far as he wants in his career and will be a huge loss if he leaves. Yes he struggled at the start of the season but he was one of the best players in the league from February onwards. Anyone who can't see what a massive loss he'd be doesn't know quality.

I'm all in with the Emre love in. Very good already, could be great. Hate to lose him, but he must be rightly worried about game time if we are chasing after Keita so hard. The worst case is if we lose Emre and don't get Keita (which is looking more likely by the day) .
