Eds do you think that a last minute loan bid will be forced through on deadline day? If the asking price is too high it must be considered as his value will only depreciate if he is frozen out of the squad until summer. At least a loan would give a chance of his valuation by liverpool being realistic

To the people calling for him to be given another chance:
It's no coincidence that our urgency and our pressure off the ball has improved ten fold in the time he has been out of the team. It's not solely down to that but it's one of the contributing factors. You can't have it both ways.
If this guy was that awful why does he still manage to get into these so called big teams. My main concern would be why is that he is in and out of the team and does not make the bench. Though you would be naive to say that our best game this season was beating spurs away 3-0 with sturridge, balotelli, sterling.
I personally believe that we should not be judging a season until we have sturridge back. I think we have a prolific front 3 if not the deadliest on there day.

There were plenty of games he didn't play and there was no pressure- because the team was playing to BR's lame early season tactics. He's looked good as an impact player. If we gave up on every player after 15 odd games we wouldn't have Henderson or Lucas in the team for starters- 2 of our best.
