Just wondering what would happen if Suarez went and I doubt he will leave he has to much passion for this amazing club

25 Mar 2013 00:23:58
Haha he has too much passion for this great club?

I thought we learned from torres that no player loves the club.

Suarez is talking to juventus since last year and looking for more opportunity to jump the ship and still you come up with those lines, its embarrassing mate.

Truth hurts but reality is Suarez has passion playing footy for himself than Liverpool fc, he will walk away like every Great player has done for few years to achieve trophys, Liverpool are no where near we fans like to think, next season is going to be the same without Champions league football.

Suarez plays with passion not just because he is at our club he will do that everytime he is on the pitch.

25 Mar 2013 07:30:47
pls. don't talk about passion.
the lad shows it all on the pitch. simple.
he loves your club. but its a fact. we are not going to win anything near time soon.
and sometimes. footballers are judged by the medals they won. not the passion they show.

When are the prem league players of the year decided?

They're still counting all the votes for RVP, it's taking an awful long time ;)

HB

RVP has been rubbish since the new year. Both Bale and Suarez have been good throughout the whole season.

25 Mar 2013 05:02:01
No, only Suarez has been good throughout the whole season.

Suarez all season, Bale only since xmas and he's now going off the boil.
It always has been a farce the timing of the voting is a joke.

If it was purely based on footballing ability then Suarez would win hands down. Alas other factors might come into it.

The Irish Rover

If it were down to who has the most rodent-like features I think we all know who'd have it in the bag :)

You all seem pretty confident Suarez will get player of the season though I hope you're not disappointed!

HB

25 Mar 2013 14:09:37
I don't think most of us think he WILL win it HB. Just that he deserves it!
Even if your not talking pure football ability, this season hasn't been marred by bans, accusations and the like!

Like him or not HB, he has been the most consistent player in the EPL this season!

WelshBoyDave

I would have to concede that he has been the best player, consistently throughout the season. RVP and Bale come close but had quieter spells. See, I can be non-biased! :) Not sure if he'll win or not as he has a tendancy to p!ss people off, particularly opposition players. If I were a player I wouldn't vote for him due to the constant moaning, appealing for non-free kicks and ghost-handballs etc.

I know its almost everyones dream on this site for alonso to return. I'm not for one minute saying its a done deal but there is interest. Anyway to my main point if he did return what would you do to accomodate him, gerrard and lucas in the same team, would you change the formation, drop someone or use rotation? Would love to hear all your views.

Lil Red

Interest from gala you mean. I don't want him back, nor should we have him back. He's over 30, not value for money and is a lot slower then he once was.

I would love him back. He may be over 30 but he still runs madrids midfield and they are a class above us. Alonso gerrard and lucas would be a top 3 in midfield, would also give gerrard a lot more freedom to get foward. If we are perpared to pay his wages is the real question.

13reds

McAlister was 36 when we bought him wasnt he?

He won't come back, he has a tremendous reputation at Lfc and has nothing to gain and everything to lose if he returned.
Next season he would be 32 and have to adjust to the faster pace of the Premier after playing in La Liga for last few years.
It ain't going to happen. Give it up! It's irritating in the extreme to read posters always pining for past players.

He remains a class act and never relied on pace anyways. Love him back, great player. Why would you not want him? Crazy.

I disagree, alonso knows the pace of the premier league. A player of his quality with that experience won't take long to readjust back to premier league football. He is the lynchpin of Real Madrid's midfield and yes he might not have the pace but with the role he could play, he wouldn't need to have pace.

I don't like looking to the past but if the price was right, I would not say no!

Which CB's in your own opinion do you think Liverpool will attempt to buy in the summer?

I'm really hoping for de vrij, has a lot of composure on the ball and likes to get stuck in, we also need some experience so maybe someone like williams although i'm not convinced he has the communication qualities some say

Would have said and liked alderweireld but it looks like he may be going to spurs? So realistically I think williams

I hope we'll move for Sakho or De Vrij but the level of competition from other clubs in the Champions League may force us to switch targets and focus on the likes of Amorbietta and Diakite.
DT

I really hope Dede. a proper hardman that will complement Agger perfectly. If we don't get him maybe Kelly should get a chance.

Suarez (sorry) all theses quotes about him leaving. I can't understand why the quoted fee is always so low compared to other top stars. Surely in todays mental market he would be worth 55 to 60million (£) - if we offered this money the we would have to sell. But 40million, do me a favour!

RedLee

Yeah if you think about it. We pay massive money for players but other teams think they can just have our players for peanuts. Hope rogers tells them all 100mil or jog on.

I think rvp 25 mil then Suarez 75- 100mil.

24 Mar 2013 18:59:50
shelvey has a lot of good qualities and is still relatively young. he can pick a good pass and knows where the goal is, he's been great for the under 21s recently. you also have to remember he's not going to take gerrard or lucas out the team, and is competing with allen for a place (who rodgers won't drop). the numbers going around here of 7m would be stupid to sell him for that he has good potential and hopefully can be at Liverpool for years to come + is english, Liverpool can't turn into an arsenal or man city with only a few english players in team.

I like shelvey please loan him back to blackpool its a bit grim at the minute down here lol. I think rodgers knows he has potential I would keep him, could be a couple of years before he is in full swing he just needs to keep his head and work hard. The only thing I would say is he looks a little sluggish for me sometimes but the talent is there.

I think Henderson is more likely to depart the club than Shelvey although they could both very easily remain at the club next season.
DT

Very right footed, very one paced, for me it's extremely doubtful he would ever be worth more than what he's worth now. So?

24 Mar 2013 18:56:22
lol the Italians and their cheapness think 30m euros is enough to get Suarez.

try 50m euros {Ed002's Note - So did Liverpool start with a £36M bid for Andy Carroll to avoid looking cheap? Are you arrogant enough to want Liverpool to over pay for players?}

Suarez is the 3rd best striker in the world 80-90 million would be over paying Ed, 30 million is an insult

and I don't see what Suarez has to do with Carroll both completely different

Think it will be closer to £30 mill myself

You don't see what Ed02 is saying? You start off low and work up. It's simple.

24 Mar 2013 20:35:20
The price Juventus wants to pay for Suarez and the one we paid for Carrol are completely two different issues.

But as for overpaying, well the owners and manager have said he's not for sale and he has a five-year contract with Liverpool that is binding, irrespective of what any agent, player, manager or team mate says.

But if in final analysis, it becomes obvious that Suarez wants to leave and we are forced to sell, then we must set a price that will scare the hell out of clubs and make buying team pay lot of money for him, because the mere fact that clubs like, PSG, Bayern and City are interested is a testimony of the caliber of player in question.

Again, if you want to base his valuation on the reports that he's trying to engineer an exit, then you should also remember that Ronaldo wanted to leave Man U when he did and look what Madrid paid for him.

So, if Suarez were to leave, then we must sale at a price that will leave us with enough funds that would make us stronger and not weaker and in this regard, 30m would be derisory at best. {Ed002's Note - The owners and manager have said nothing of the sort. Nobody is basing any valuation on Suarez engineering an exit. Nobody is suggesting 30M.}

The owners manager and ayre have said he's not for sale but where also clever enough to mention its in players hands nowadays look it up ed 002

25 Mar 2013 10:51:08
Did Commolli not bid something like £12. 7 for Suarez before our higher bid was accepted?

24 Mar 2013 18:44:14
i know I will be on my own about this but for me agger never gets a mention of how bad he has been playing, and I would put him in the out of the team box, I would sell him because I don't rate him, he is an ok defender but we need batter because skertal is not the only one who should get all the stick, he has been there when agger has been out and that comes to another point all the times agger has been out and carra in the team we have done better, it does not take a genius to work out who the weak link is, and its agger, we need someone like big sami, he was slow but he was great for us and scored goals from corners just like skertal, how many has agger scored from corners

mickey b

The only thing agger has done wrong this season is being out of position on set pieces which result in the opposition scoring, it has cost us Afew goals this season to be fair

Agger is calm and can play football from the back he is exactly the type of defender rodgers wants.

Many things to love in Agger, I love it when he runs forward from defense with the ball. Great Dane.

He's a footballer, not a defender. I'd rather two thugs at the back.

90% pass completion rate. Why do you think barca are interested.

Agger is a very good defender and I would be gutted if he left.

But I do slightly agree with the original post. Agger has been beaten very easily a few times this season (Lukaku's goal at Anfield comes immediately to mind) and hasn't had any form of criticism.

Yes Skrtel hasn't had a great season but in his defense he is having to change his game to suit BR tactics and I think he's struggling with it, whereas it suits Agger.

I personally would prefer we went out and signed a commanding CD to play alongside Agger and keep Skrtel. Skrtel is a good defender, everyone was panicking last Summer when we thought we were going to lose him, virtually nobody on here was saying they wanted him gone, as he was our best player last season.

It's another case of the modern Liverpool 'fan' writing players off too soon. Learn your lessons, you all slated Lucas, you all said Henderson wasn't good enough, you all said Downing was dog sh!t, you all said Gerrard was finished last season, Reina this season.

I'm not saying don't criticise poor performances but when the next match comes along support them, encourage them to play better.

Outs -
Gulacsi
Flanagan
Wilson
Pacheco

Possible Outs -
Reina
Skrtel
Coates
Spearing
Shelvey
Downing
Carroll

Possible Replacements -
Begovic/Mignolet/Forster
Samba/Williams/Amorebieta
De Vrij/Isimat Mirin/Martins Indi
Strootman/Wanyama/Schneiderlin
Eriksen/Ben Arfa/Menez
Sinclair/Ince/Weimann
Bony/Benteke/Gameiro

Out of that list I can see us getting sinclair, williams & ince

So have Liverpool found oil under the pitch or is it gold. lucky to get 3/4 of them mate
IRISHRED1995

Lose Reina. Buy Begovic.
Lose Skrtel. Buy Samba.
Lose Coates. Buy De Vrij.
Lose Spearing. Buy Strootman.
Lose Shelvey. Buy Eriksen.
Lose Downing. Buy Sinclair.
Lose Carroll. Buy Bony.

If all these possible outs were to leave, we would have the money to replace them.

Not a chance! They would all have to want to come but I can't see most on that list wanting to come at all

To the 2nd last poster. Your valuation of Liverpool players is way way off.

Hi eds, serious question now and I don't want this making everybodys year. Any interest in my hero Sir Titus Bramble? Would love to see him at the back with the dagger!

24 Mar 2013 16:53:14
In
Andre Weimann 5m
gerard deulofeu 5 m OR
Heung Min Son 8 m

Kesuke Honda pre-contract in summer
Capoue 9m
Sakho 10-12m
Alderwield 8 m
Out
Skrtel 10m
Coates 3m
Carrol 8-10m (if we are lucky)
Spearing 1.5m
Assaidi 2m
Downing 5m
Pacheco Free
Ngoo and Wilson 1m

This would be a pretty realistic and good transfer window.
I too would like players like Dede, Sanchez, Erickson and others and have asked the Eds about our interest in them but it looks very bleak. Anyways the above mentioned players will really improve our team. {Ed002's Note - You should have asked about interest in or chances of these - it looks bleak.}

Pretty sure alderweireld and eriksen prefer spurs!

Spurs won't make the CL.

It doesn't matter if they do or not? Pretty sure they stand a better chance than us of landing alderweireld

24 Mar 2013 16:43:35
hi ed. I see you mentioned something about Liverpool going shopping without their credit card. I was just wondering what this was about. Thanks. {Ed002's Note - It's irrelevalnt - it was in relation to someone misquoting someone.}

24 Mar 2013 13:48:31
As I said a while back Carra is going to Sky.

The club are also very confident Suarez will stay at least for next season.

Cheers

Macca

Hope your right, I just have a horrible feeling that he'll leave. Is there any truth in the Weimann rumour that you know of. Thanks.

24 Mar 2013 17:14:55
Thanks Macca, always appreciated
EMAN34

Carras off because he's had enough. He doesn't believe in the FSG and Roy Rodgers partnership.

Ozone

How can carra go to sky when most of us can't understand a word that comes out of his gob, llf no way

It won't just be up to suarez if the owners get a bid of 40 mil + I think they will be more than happy and take the money but I hope i'm wrong

Always lovely to have ozone and his endless positivity back. A supporter like you we do not need.

24 Mar 2013 22:41:32
Cheers Macca!

Ozone, you are an person.

i have just read in the mail sport a new football finance model developed by football finance expert tom markham. very interesting it cuts out all the crap and uses a rational to value a club, a method people can understand
1. manu-1, 060m
2. arsenal-943m
3. chelsea-510.5m
4. spurs-436m
5. man city-401.1m
6. Liverpool-352.2m

lfc 6th, talk about a club being mis-managed for years, it wouldn't surprise me if they made david brent the next cheif exec lol

24 Mar 2013 16:14:25
how the f--k is spurs worth so much more than us this is crap.

David Brent as chief executive. That would be a laugh

Ack17

25 Mar 2013 09:52:48
ok take away the thought of actually supporting Liverpool you have a load of money more than bill cates, you have a choice chelsea spurs now. chelseas plastic support no, having to listen to spurs boring song and own a team that has won shag all since the last century, but some how are worth more than a team that has won everything but the premiership this century i'm sorry but for me fsg got a good deal its time we were run a bit better of the pitch someone like david dean maybe. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool's commercial revenue has been increasing year on year and the club is being run very well off the pitch. Yet you see a problem which doesn't exist and want to change it.}

25 Mar 2013 10:49:42
so ed 02 maybe you can't read ........ so I would suggest you tone down your ignorance you are letting yourself down to be honest. {Ed002's Note - Don't bother coming back.}

Don't EVER tangle with Ed002, He doesn't take prisoners.

24 Mar 2013 15:34:07
Reina will stay. Cheers.

24 Mar 2013 14:15:08
As LFC are only offering performance based contracts now why would a quality player wish to join?

We're not going to win any trophies with our inconsistency, our players aren't good enough to be a force so what's the incentive to join us if its not for money?

Interesting times ahead of us, if Suarez is to leave I hope it's done and dusted at the beginning of the window so we at least know the direction the owners are looking to take us in terms of building a side.

Lets just give everyone fat contracts to sit on the bench with. Like we did before. Great idea.

We won't ever get any world class players again then so might as well look forward to mid table for a long while.

Have to rely on youth players and then look forward to the quality ones leaving for a side in the top 4.

Until they bring in player salary limits money will talk.

24 Mar 2013 13:23:31
Things to lookforward this weekend:
England vs Montenegro, watching the grass grow in the garden, watching water evapourate from a frozen pond, counting sheep in wales. Some countries should just realise they will never compete in the international scene and its just a wast of time and money and a good weekend of football. About time England quits international football, IMO.

You should try being a do'er as opposed to a watcher, you would feel much better.
I've been out tree hugging this morning,
I feel better and I'm sure the trees do.

Yer good idea, England quite international football. Portugal too, they under perform. Actually screw it all - just have Spain, Argentina, France, Germany, Brazil and Italy go in for a 6 team knockout every two years and that's it. Then reduce the entire Spanish League down to Real and Barca (and maybe one more just for fun), Italy can just have their big six and England - let's have a top 10 for the fun of it, but United only have to play the top 3 and just get assumed wins against the rest. The grand reorganisation of world football based on the chances of winning!

Some of that's already true, England did quit International fooball years ago, there is only Real and Barca in La Liga, most teams outside the top 6 lie down against Man United therefore conceding the points as they don't want or can't afford to get themselves into trouble with you know who?. Here's a clue, he stands on the touch line berating officials tapping his watch, accuses opposition players of attempted murder,.
A lot of smaller clubs just don't think it's worth the hassle.
So there you go, it's already here.

Kidmillions, I like a bit of banter but your post is complete nonsense. To suggest teams don't try is insulting. Did Norwich not try when they beat Unted earlier this year, did Everton not try the 1st day, did Wigan not try last year? SAF might be a grump and push his luck but to say teams simply roll over is garbage

AJH

Towards the end of the season, I've known teams roll over against Man United and save themselves for an up and relegation 6 pointer. Whether you like it or not it happens.

24 Mar 2013 13:28:38
In summer
In
Xabi Alonso 12m
Frank Lampard free
Zlatan Ibrahimovic 13m
Steven Taylor 5m
Out
Andy Carroll 15m
Jay Spearing 1m
Martin Skrtel 12m

Really?

People should grasp the concept of real money and valuations and leave the monopoly money behind

Ibra for less than Carrol haha - sure.

guaranga must really be with us if we are going to get 15 million for Carroll.
However, if we really want to get max. worth of Carroll we have to use him in part exchange. Personally can't see Newcastle giving us Ben Arfa so we should try for a straight swap with Tiote or Mbwia as we need a back-up DM.
Then use the mone from sales of Skrtel, Spearing, Coates, Assaidi, Downing + the supposedly 20 million from owners to get SANCHEZ, Dede, Isminat Mirin.
If any money left try for Weimenn.
That should be more than enough.
It is really important to get this window right to get top 4 as I really want us to hold on to Suarez.
The most important thing is BR needs to see we can do better than always looking at Swansea for players.

It was all very believable until you suggested signing the lead singer of Areosmith for 5mil.

24 Mar 2013 14:32:14
In

Andre Weimann 5m
Kesuke Honda 7m
Dejan Lovren 10m
Victor Wanyama 12m
Sofiane Feghuli 9m
Ter Stegan/Ochoa 7m
Stefan De Vrij 10m
Total 60m

Out
Skrtel 10m
Coates 5m
Reina 10m
Carrol 13m
Spearing 2m
Pachecco. 500k
Wilson free
Carrager retires

Total 40.5m

Net spend. 19.5m

Lampard won't go north of Birmingham,
Alonso at 32 for 12m no thanks, he's got everything to lose and nothing to gain by coming back.
Ibrahimovic is impossible, really impossible.
Steven Taylor? Never heard of him.
0-4 will happen.

Steve Taylor is a great vocal leader, he never wants to miss a thing and leads by example - everyone walks his way

24 Mar 2013 15:59:11
whose gona give 15 mil for caroll?

Someone once paid 36m for him Harry, you can always hope.

Melbourne CFC

Lead singer of Aerosmith is Steve tyler. Just sayin.

24 Mar 2013 13:03:15
What I'd do:

Buy: Rui Patricio, Williams, Dede, Alonso, Ben Arfa, Marković.

Sell: Reina, Skrtel, Coates, Spearing, Shelvey, Assaidi, Pacheco, Carroll.

Keep reina and skrtel and forget Williams and Patricio.

Sell more players than to buy in on a already thin squad?

FowlerGod.

Gonna be realistic
Ince
Williams
Sinclair
Hughes
And if suarez goes?
Sanchez

I posted yesterday about our centre-back's and what we I personally believe would be the best course of action over the summer.
Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and one comment repeated what I have seen a few times on this website: that we should sign 1 quality CB and 1 CB for the future.
The problem with this is that many young CB's who are highly promising are not willing to join and simply play back-up (as we have seen with Seb Coates who now wants to leave due to lack of first-team football).
This is why I suggested using our own young CB's instead who I personally have a lot of faith in.
I'd like to hear others thoughts on this.
Thanks

Ashley Williams/Brede Hangeland and Nicolas Isimat-Mirin would be a good fit in my opinion.

Ryan McLaughlin reminds me so much of Luke shaw it is crazy. There are identical players only with different feet. Anyways just putting out there as I think he will play a big role next season with wisdom and Kelly going through the middle.

Is he a left back or right back? I have heard good things about him but hardly watched the reserves this season due to other commitments

More like Veggard Heggam.

To be honest, he's exactly what we need going forward. He's adventurous and ambitious, with his forays forward and that's what's required in a modern fullback.

That attacking quality plus some defensive steel and pace, makes him more suitable than Wisdom or Kelly. It's not that both aren't talented, but both look more natural at centre half, which again is exactly what we require in coming times.

If Robinson can focus, find his feet and a little more intent going forward then he should make the grade too.

Younger attacking players have a little less pressure on their shoulders, as they can make mistakes and it won't go punished as such. Younger defensive players (see Villa) are always in the limelight, with errors often proving very costly. That's why in my view more patience, encouragement and caution is required to ready these players.

I trust BR to get it right, especially given the quality youth coaches we have at our disposal. But I stress again, patience is the key and the rewards will come!

really getting fed up with all this suarez transfer talk. i just don't get what the fuss is all about. he has a contract with the club until 2017 so just block a move to any club unless they meet a price that the club has set (say 60 million euros).
this is the stance the club should take on suarez simple as that. pay up ot f**k off. (& that is simply if he is pushing for a move)
don't care if he goes on and submits a transfer request or is unhappy, rather have an unhappy suarez than no suarez.
the club needs to be strong and not get bullied by personic clubs like juventus who go sopping without a credit card. {Ed002's Note - Actually the "going shopping without a credit card" statement was made about Liverpool.}

But you get my point Ed. They are really an personic club and will try to entice us by offering something ridiculous like 25 million+Matri or some similar deal.
LFC should stand their ground and ask for straight 60 million Euros Cash or 40 million Euros+ Vidal or no deal.
Clubs like Juve are really what I hate, trying to tap up Suarez continously using Caceras and all other means. {Ed002's Note - I think you perhaps need to understand that much of the courting last summer was done by Suarez. The feeling is that Caceres will not have said what he did at the behest of Juventus, and that seems to have been substantiated by what Lugano and Cavani have now said. None of this would be happening at all if Suarez did not bring the matter up - which the club has told him repeatedly not to do.}

Personally what do you reckon Ed. Does Suarez stay one more season or leave this summer?
The general feeling is he gives us one more season but if we fail to qualify for CL again he goes which is fair enough I think.
Also how much do you reckon the owners will give to spend in summer?
close to 20-25 million pounds + summer sales will be a good budget to work with. {Ed002's Note - Until his latest dumb ass comments I would have said that he would stay another year. Personally, given the offers that are coming in the summer and what is going on in the background with Giovanni Branchini and to a lesser extent Pavel Nedved, my view is that I think it is more likely he will go this year. Much will depend on what reaction the club has to this latest mess. Chilean TV portrayed him as a small child peaking out from behind Cavani which should make the forthcoming match interesting.}

Thanks for the straight forward reply Ed and I am sorry as I didn't know that it was Suarez who courted Juve last summer.
Anyway do you reckon Sanchez and Jovetic (both) would be viable options to replace Suarez if he moves on as both would likely cost 20 million pounds each and we should easily recieve atleast 45 million ponds for Suarez?
Secondly, could Matuidi be an option for DM? {Ed002's Note - Sanchez perhaps, Jovetic no, Matuidi no. The problem with Sanchez is that Liverpool are not in a position to be making any offer for him now, and with Barcelona already willing to talk to clubs about him, Inter are putting together a rather ambitious loan-to-buy deal for Sanchez that could be agreed before the season is over.}

24 Mar 2013 11:28:36
i think its a mistake not playing shelvey more to develope him. if he played every game he would be in double figure in goals. he is real good and its a shame u all don't recognize it.

Sorry I forgot to sign my post

Shelveysmum.

The problem is when he has been picked he has not shown any desire, mobility or ability.

I saw a report that Lindegaard may be leaving ManU.

Do the eds rate him? The few times I've seen him play, which isn't a lot as I can't stand the team, he did a fairly decent job.

I'm not speculating if Reina is leaving or if LFC are interested in Lindegaard. Just want an opinion on the player, because at 28 he wouldn't be a bad player for a keeper. {Ed052's Note - There is no chance of us signing him. He is a decent keeper, and, would be a good signing for under £5m for most teams.}

Seriously mate?
Lindegaard is a terrible keeper, definitely not an upgrade on Jones.
Indian Buzzer

Anythings an upgrade on Jones. He is terrible.

Ozone

I'm an upgrade on jones

24 Mar 2013 11:01:36
Hey eds. How much can we get for caroll? And how big a transfer budget would we get before selling {Ed002's Note - I really don't want to get in to the money side of things too much.}

Well just a little then ed!

The only club that I think will want him will be Newcastle. Try and do some deal that would bring Ben arfa to Liverpool.

Personally, I think we'd get so little for him that it is not worth selling. One of his problems for Liverpool was lack of service. Downing in particular just could not cross the ball. I think all this has changed, since Coutinho picked out downing 's head for a goal against wigan. I think Downing now realises what a cross and service actually is. A great manager could make a decent player of Carroll and I believe Newcastle think they can do this. The problem is that I don't think BR can achieve this because he is too one dimensional. I think Mourinho could develop him for example and that's the difference between great managers and good managers.

Eds why was the Cavani rumour taken down? {Ed002's Note - It attracted a lot of derision.}

C'mon! You'd have to be stupid to believe he'd sign for lfc.

Eds - I find it hard to believe that people are being abusive to you on this site. I'm also astonished that they make threats against you. May I ask that anyone that does make a threat be reported to the police please? - I know you can trace their IP address and identify them. There is no place for such foul behaviour and they deserve to get a knock on the door from the law. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Making threats against the Eds, amongst other things, drags down the name of our supporters and is illegal. Why does this have disagrees?

I should think their on Tag already!

11 people think its acceptable to abuse the Eds.

Appauling. Utterly disgusting!

What's happened with aissaidi, he looked like a good player, who would fight for a first team place when we bought him. But he has hardly played at all, has he been injured or does. Rogers just not like him anymore? It would be a shame to let him go this summer.

More bad management I guess as he did look better than we have at the mo in that position.

What? better than Coutinho?! some people on here!
assaidi had niggling injuries, a couple of illnesses, language barrier problems, settling into a new country and the AFCON to attend while competing against Sterling and now Coutinho as well.
Bad management? My apse!

I agree, he looked good on the left wing. Paces, skilful, and took people on. Perhaps his end product (or consistency of quality) was his only downside. However I could see him being a real quality player with a run of games.

I spose BR must like wasting what little money we have if he's not playing him even when fit. Very harsh on the boy, especially when Allen can get into the first real despite being rubbish!

Biggy Ballz

Assaidi is in direct competition with Coutinho for the LW position, so imo he is unlikely to stay. Coutinho is way better than Assaidi anyways, so he will not be a big loss.

Another reason Assaidi has fallen down the pecking order is that despite him being pretty good going forward he does lack the final ball and also doesn't track back as much as Downing/Coutinho which BR wants in his wingers/forwards.
Hope this answers your question

I heard Rodgers has deliberately refused to play Assaidi in Premier League matches because he was signed by a certain FSG Committee.

Well, if our manager is this brutal in handling a footballer's career, then FSG must also be brutally honest in dealing with him as well.

And for those of you making excuses against the kid in spite of the fact he has had very little playing time to impress, I think you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I find it sad that mindless people are even allowed through the filter mechanism to give our EDs any grief. This is a brilliant site and it would be a real shame if the the brain dead keyboard warriors win and we end up losing our Editors because they really can't be doing with all the grief.

Ed001 is yoga as far as i'm concerned, he knows all and guides the other Eds with a small wave of his hand. What can I say about ED002 that hasn't already been said? Such a lovely lady, who, somehow between doing her nail varnishing, still manages to find time to explain football things to the brain dead warriors.

I have been visiting this site for over two years now and find it addictive. I love the banter and quick witted response of some of the Eds. They are always fair and sensible with their responses, but quite honestly, this is an absolutely brilliant site.

Maybe it is time to make it a 'Members Only' site and allow the decent supporters to have some good banter with everyone without being offensive or abusive.

It costs nothing to show respect to any human being, but the saddo warriors sitting in their bedrooms and trying to cause mayhem and offence unfortunately don't even know the meaning of the word.

Dont let them get to you Eds, remember they are the minority. We need you all not to be getting stressed out by the morons, we want your humour. even ED002's!

ps i'm sure there will be a few disagrees even to this post!

Tel 1949 {Ed002's Note - Again there is abuse this morning Tel and clearly there are a number of Liverpool fans intent on hurting the decent Liverpool supporters as much as they can. It is pitiful to see but we will need to do something now.}

Agree edd 002 think that's needs doing sooner then later!
YNWA lfc linc

So ashamed to be associated with them Ed. They're a plague.

Please bear in mind they are the minority but I'm sure the vast majority of us here including myself think you and you fellow eds do a fantastic job.

Best of luck with tackling the issue.

Eds I very seldom see eye to eye with you, but when some be**end starts sayin there going to slice ye up then its time to do something I agree. But in the meantime I would suggest you just blank the p**ck and let it go overyour heads. {Ed002's Note - Duck you mean?}

If PPL are abusive then ban them from the site, simple really as I wouldnt/couldnt let some moronic muppets get to me. 3 cheers for the EDS, hip hip. lol

I think ed 1 could at times tone his reply's down! Ed2 is just funny and by far the best ed on here! {Ed002's Note - Have you signed up for the Ed002 Appreciation Society at: tinyurl.com/c6j7t2m }

BJH YNWA {Ed002's Note - So you think it acceptable that these motherfuckers are making threats made against my family - my daughters?}

If they doing that Ed, just get the police involved, don't mess about with them. They can be traced on the net. Its a serious crime to make any sort of threat against anyone. Absolute w*****s.

Whatever happened to respect, decency and honour? These qualities are the basis of real men, including some extremely tough men. Not some snotty nosed wimp on a keyboard, making threats and trying to be a man. Christ even criminals in the 60's acted honourably. It annoys me so much. Grrrrrr

Tel 1949 {Ed002's Note - At least one of these so called "Liverpool supporters" is now trolling the other sites as well. The reputation the fans had has long gone but this is still truly embarrassing for the decent fans.}

Eds, is it not possible now with the new register/log in option to make this a prerequisite for anyone wanting to post so that the abusive persons can be identified and heir accounts deleted. i'm sure I am not the first to think of this, why has this not been implemented? Is it because of technical difficulties? Or maybe freedom of speech or anonymity?
This is a free information service and as such the eds as providers of this service deserve a little respect.
I don't always like or agree with all the eds replies and have even voiced my disagreement on occasion and i'm sure the eds can take a bit of banter and ribbing with the rest of us. But there really isn't any need for balls out abuse however much the given reply may irk you.
There persons are spoiling it for others as the eds are now reluctant to broach certain subjects as they know it will be like a red rag to the bullish persons ready with a mouthful of bile. The eds can also (understandably in part) get a little snappy at genuine posters which can lead to more unnecessary ill feeling.
The sooner an answer to blocking or deleting these "persons" is found the better, both for the eds and the genuine users of this site

Alonso rumours getting hotter. And cavani says Suarez will give it another year. Good morning everyone

24 Mar 2013 09:43:57
Werner Has said Carra was asked if he wanted to stay on as a coach but refused and has agreed a deal with a huge media outlet in the UK. I think he means he has joined sky for next season. Also he refused to discuss luis suarez. He said players are the ones who decide what they want to do in the end its up to luis we will always do everything we can to make him feel happy at the club.

24 Mar 2013 09:56:11
Werner cranking up the propaganda machine then if he did say that about Suarez, already laying the ground work to put the blame on the player should he leave.

Cranking up the propaganda machine or just telling it how it is?

Werner is being straight with the supporters. He is so right you can't make a player want to stay. I don't want a player who wants to win trophies. I want a player who wants to win trophies for Liverpool fc. We can't pay what some teams can afford to pay him. Players come and go, but the bird will always be on my chest.

this is nothing football related its more about genuine people ie, football conspiracy in fact all the sites on here, if bellends are giving abuse to the edds because they do not like what there are reading, can you not make it compulsory for everyone to register then wheedle out the morons?i for one enjoy all the editors input and it would be a shame to let the braindead win. cheers frankyscouser off the conspiracy site.
