I think our biggest threat on Sunday is fellaini, If he stays between the lines like he did against spurs he could give can big problems, Rooney in turn will drop deeper pulling skrtel out of position. I hope Rodgers has something to counter this as that's the only way I can see them scoring

I was thinking the same thing. Allen may struggle against the height and strength of Fellaini. Hopefully, Lucas will be on the bench and can come on if we are struggling. Apart from that I think we should be ok though. We have been pretty solid at the back and we're always a threat going forward. I'm tipping Sturridge to hit form this weekend as well.

Allen will mark Fellaini and i think he has enough to deal with him personally. He's already kept a better player in Yaya Toure quiet this season and he's possibly the most powerfully threatening midfielder in the Prem.

Our defence has been superb of late! Why worry about them? Let them worry about us! Along with the Gunners we are the form teams on the league. Fellaini? He is just a really bad midfielder who has the turning circle of the QE2!

I'd actually put Gerrard on Fellaini. I don't think Gerrard is our best midfielder anymore, but he is physically very strong and very good in the air. United bypass the midfield anyway so we don't really need any legs in there.

Sorry EMS but disagree that Gerrard should start, he hasn't the pace or the legs to cope with this kind of game anymore, he should be on the bench, if Gerrard starts they'll just run through our midfield like they did last time and we simply cannot afford to make mistakes when we are so close and it will undo all of the work the team has done to claw its way back.

I would not play Gerrard either for this game.
For no other reason than he is just coming back from injury.
Impact sub for me and then give him his first full game against Blackburn to send us to Wembley.

Awful shout EMS - Gerrard has done nothing to merit a start against them. If we attack to our full potential we can overrun them - there defence is worse than ours - we must take advantage.
