City have some room to maneuver. They can finish on a total of 79 points and have four games at home.
The odds are most definitely not in our favour no matter how bad City are playing as if we drop 3 more points then we can only finish on 72 so that means City will need to drop 8 points (2 losses & 1 draw) to finish on 71 due to them having a better goal difference.
Yes City have only won 2 of their last 6 but they have far easier fixtures left than what LFC do and the cushion of 4 home games. After tonight we only have 2 home games left.

I was with you up to the bit about City having far easier fixtures. Four of their remaining opponents are top 10 teams (currently 5, 7, 8, 9) and one is fighting to stay up. LFC have Chelsea, two bottom dwellers, and a couple mid-table teams with nothing much to gain or lose. At worst, it's a toss up.

On paper city's fixtures look far easier than ours , but would you have thought that burnley and crystal palace would both beat them.
I still think city will make top4 but the way this season has gone you just never now.

I can remember posters gloating on here that the wheels were going to come off for UTD before we played them.
City are in the driving seat with a 7 point advantage. I said weeks ago before we played UTD that every win for UTD is basically a six pointer should they beat us. We were only 2 points behind UTD before they beat us, now they are 11 ahead. Every win for City from now on is basically a six pointer too.

I was one who thought united would become stuck , but unfortunately they have clicked into gear.
Like I said max I don't think we will do it but you never know.

We were always in catch up mode due to a poorly managed first half of the season hence, we are paying the price right now. Top 4 is gone for now UNTIL it no longer isn`t so I suggest we just move on and learn from our errors for next season with or without a new manager

Redo hip, isn't the problem that the manager hasn't learnt any lessons?
Still poor upfront, still poor in defense, still no backup DM, wingers and midfielders being used out of position constantly etc etc.

Mcgoveb, I`m with you. He will NEVER learn. Why? He`s been here for 3 years YET our main probs still exist so NO, he won`t learn and if the owners think he won`t then he should go.
