Regardless of whether we change manager or not.
We have to get rid of at least 10 players this close season.
We need to do this before signing anyone else.
If we start buying players before we start getting rid of those we don't want then we as fans know that the club has not learned anything at all.
Look at Wenger at Arsenal.
He only signs players when he knows that the player will improve the team.
He gets slated for it but I would much rather his approach than our scatter gun policy of last year.

In years gone by Wenger has signed dozens of players who rarely get a first team game.
He's a good manager, but I wouldn't use him as an example of only signing players who will improve the first team.

well what a load of hogwash.
especially in recent years when he's had money to burn,here's a list of players he's borught in since 2011 that I don't beleive have improved the team:
2011-Gervinho ,young,santos,mertersacker(he's playing but he's nowhere near good enough), arteta (LOL) Campbell, Jenkinson
2012- Podolski(couldn't even get off the bench for most games),Monreal(snap purchase when they desperately needed a left back,now replaced by an academy player)
2013-Sanogo(Just not needed),Ozil (42 million on a player who arsene already had several of in his favoured positions,and hasn't really set the prem alight)
2014- Chambers(has looked a severe libaility everytime he's played especially at rightback) brelik(WHO? reported 2.5 million for a 17 year old),Welbeck.(LOL LOL LOL LOL)
This isn't even mentioning half the utter dross he's bought for under £1 million/undisclosed for the past 10 years,that I've never even heard of

No suggestion Ozil isn't a good player,I don't believe I said that ED001 did I? For me though if you're talking upgrade. In the number 10 role I would have alexis ahead of him there and ramsey. I think Arsenal needed another defensive midfielder, rather than a creative one. They had Ramsey,Cazorla,Wilshere all capable of playing there and now Sanchez. I don't think any one could say Ozil has had a stellar year,Infact most would say/have said far from it. For me Ozil is in the bracket of Lallana,he's a good player but not what was needed,and certainly not at 42 million.
Not to try and make this personal ED001 but given your previous suggestions on Lallana I would expect you to see this flipside on Ozil.

tbf if you list players we could move on or that are going:
1 mario
2 aspas
3 alberto
4 borini
5 coates
6 gerrard
7 johnson
8 enrique
9 allen
10 jones
added to that with ilori coming back and having sakho, toure (if renewed), skrtel, lovren + youngsters a CB will probably go.
also texeira, ibe, lallana, sinclair, sterling, markovic, ojo, coutinho, origi, sturridge, lambert, yesil + any forwards brought means we have a lot of players to occupy at most 3-4 positions so could see someone go from there as well

Didn't realise you could sell 10 players from our squad and not for it to make much of a difference.
Seems I was wrong. Reminds me of the rafa days, except worse.

I would let Markvoich go as well if we can get something around 15M for him. he could be better in 2-3 years though even then I don't see him as a game changer in the PL.

Good one, Mikey! Rafa and BR have the same faults and are both currently failing YET many want him back due to us being a force in a period where Spurs, the Saints and City were NOT our rivals. Footie has changed people and we need to change with it instead of revert to a past under a man who`s mismanagement aided in us almost going down into administration

Just smacks of waste.
Imagine selling those 10 players and just buying 3 absolute monsters.
1 defender 1 midfielder and 1 attacker.
Strengthen the spine and add the rest from the academy is what I would do.

Although I completely agree. Not sure we need another midfielder though unless Lucas leaves.

If we play Can there next year then it's not a massive priority but I'd still like another def mid in the squad as 2 is not enough.

I don't see Can as a DM, to be fair. I see him more as a box to box midfielder.
