Eds002 I have a question if you have the time to reply

I'm a avid reader of your site and have been for many years, but this is my first post

You recently wrote a really informative article in regards to the pan European breakaway which has got me thinking

I have been fortunate enough to travel all over Europe with the Reds over the years and was wondering if you know of any discussions that may of been held in regards to away fan ticket allocation and travel arrangements?

For example, if we get a allocation of 2000 tickets, for any European club away, on match day it would be pandemonium for the travelling fans

If the average plane can hold 200 seats, that would mean 20 planes taking off to go to that particular cities airport from say 5 am to around midday, which at the minute simply does not happen

Would the clubs maybe try and work in conjunction with a airline service from john Lennon airport and Manchester airport at a capped price?

I know liverpool FC have a affiliation with Thomas Cook, but it can be very limited, and very pricey

Or is it simply up to the travelling fans to get themselves there and back?

Are the matches planned for Saturday and Sunday?

I hope this is being taken into consideration as it could really the essence out of the game if you only end up getting 200 odd away fans at each game .

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - There has been and will not be any consideration about travel - and there has been no discussion about when games would be played - that is something that will end up being negotiated with television companies and even though a couple have shown interest, it is not at that level of discussion. And right now, I would not worry too much about Liverpool fans needing to get to the games.}

Ed, so is it to be presumed, that if you are a G14 club, it doesn't necessarily mean you would be invited, or considered to join either one of the two pan-European tiers?

As it would be away from UEFA, would the current rankings (at the time of the breakaway) be taken into consideration?

Regards

{Ed002's Note - G14 has not existed for a number of years - it stopped in 2007 or 2008.

The rankings are of no significance.}

Ed can you tell us the two teams pushing for this break away league? Think i read that you said two want it as soon as possible, and a couple are totally against. What sort of teams are involved in These meetings? If you're allowed to reveal

{Ed002's Note - It is unimportant.}

Thank you for the insight and knowledge Ed2

{Ed002's Note - You are very welcome.}

I imagine teams like man city and PSG would want to breakaway so they can continue to chuck money about without the consequences.
