Yes he should have kept quiet but so should have the so called "fans". Would Lucas or Allen been able to score that goal? No and that's from someone who is past his best. Hating this fickle generation of fans.

I think what Rogers was trying to say was how ignorant and ill informed these so called fans were who was calling for Stevie to be subbed. I don't see any disrespect to Stevie in saying that. Loads on here are just looking for any excuse to have a pop at Rogers,

I'm sure those same fans calling for him to be subbed were cheering the goal and also part of the ovation he received when finally being subbed. That's my definition of fickle. How the 5th top goal scorer (and from midfield) of this great club can come in from such criticism for basically getting older is beyond belief. Is it his fault there is not a ready made replacement for him? No. Support him as he deserves for three more games because after that we'll all be worse off for him no longer being there.
As for BR spouting off obviously this is wrong. His man management has been pretty shoddy all along with players more in the limelight than him.

You just have to look at our win % with and without Gerard to see that this was a season too many for him. The team will hopefully be able to move forward now without having such a powerful figure influencing on and off the pitch. I wish him luck at LA but time for the rest to step up. ( and BR to step down )
