Eds, what is your opinion on benteke? do you think he will fit in and suit our style of play??
{Ed001's Note - it really depends on him. He has all the ability, pace, power, skill, strength, but he underutilises his ability. Sometimes he just can't be bothered. If we get a Benteke that can be bothered, then he will be excellent. If we get the lamppost that just wants to wait for the ball to be delivered exactly where he wants it, then no. This is not as certain as the Balotelli transfer, as Balotelli had shown many times that he really can't be bothered and was not interested in being a team player. Benteke is capable of playing as part of a team, he just needs a lot of work on his movement in the main, as it is poor.}

Could some of that lack of desire be due his frustration playing in that villa team? I would hope that playing with higher calibre players would make him realise he has to give his all otherwise he losses his spot.
{Ed001's Note - he has shown even less desire for his country, which is the major worry, that it is not down to issues within the club.}

Ed001 but could it be down to the way villa play. I feel that Villa coaches prefer their team to stay back and counter the opposition and rarely they try to press the ball higher up the pitch. But yeah his movement is not great but with the recent appointments of coachinf staff i hope he learns to be clever with his movements.
{Ed001's Note - I am basing that on how he played prior to Villa and for Belgium as well. The way a team plays should not affect his movement anyway. Poor coaching might mess with it, but not tactics, as there are other bits of movement that should still show than the pure tactical instructions.}

I posted the eact same thing yeaterday, Ed. He has the ability and talent and is quite lethal when on his game. It`s all the other stuff that needs work as in the FA Cup final, he just couldn`t be arsed to even try in games and that is just down to attitude and desire and nothing more. One can accept failure if you give your all BUT failure w/o even trying? NO WAY! Maybe playing for a big club with better coaches, better pplayers and bigger expectations will light that fire in him to get better because the talent is defo there. here`s to hoping because like it or not, he will be a Liverpool player in the end so we need to help him be great as we did with the other top strikers who have shone here
