Sky sports reporting - sterling wants to leave because of Rodgers.

Agree8 Disagree1

08 Jul 2015 11:27:24
If this is true its becoming quite a worrying trend among players who leave the club all citing BR as a big problem.

08 Jul 2015 11:39:39
That being said, I can't wait for this little cretin to leave the club. He is a disgrace to LFC.

08 Jul 2015 11:44:53
@back - they're saying sterling told Rodgers this to his face yesterday.

08 Jul 2015 11:46:19
obviously that is nothing new , but the kid should know that is was rodgers who played him at least 30 games a season three seasons in a row . he would not have that many games at his age under any other manager in the premier league. So if he thinks he will be first starter at city and other big clubs it will be only because he is over-hyped and the moment he drops in form he will be dropped to the bench sulking and moaning replaced by a better player.
I just see a Shaun Wright Philips happening all over again

08 Jul 2015 11:50:50
@back - if this is the case - can most fans blame him for wanting to leave?. Most fans can't stand Rodgers either.

08 Jul 2015 12:03:24
I wish FSG would understand that THE problem is Rodgers.

Until he goes these pages will be busy with disappointment.

08 Jul 2015 12:05:46
starks if you've read my comments on here lately its no lie that I'm not Rodgers biggest fan at all. But that is no excuse for this whole debacle being played out in front of the media. Sterling may not want to play for Rodgers but there is no way he should be spouting this all to the media. He is treating us fans like mugs too insisting he is not about money all the time but refusing to hand in a transfer request because he would lose his 5%. There are plenty of fans on here who don't like Rodgers being questioned too!

08 Jul 2015 12:13:35
No one has the right to blame a player of moving out just like, welcome the incomings with open arms.
Its just the way you move out should be the concern.
there is DDG who in all honestly would love to move back to spain but seems very quite.

08 Jul 2015 12:38:22
Look there's nothing new with sterling saying this.

We all know Rodgers is the problem, the players all play out of position and they all look like they haven't got a clue what there supposed to be doing.

Some players speak out and some just get on with it, and unfortunately if things don't turn around this season and Rodgers stays at the helm then there will be more players following sterling out of the door.

08 Jul 2015 12:44:09
@Lavers if things don't turn around this season there is no chance of BR still being at the helm don't worry.

08 Jul 2015 13:23:14
Here we go again with the Rodgers hate. I mean, poor raheem only played in 52 games last season. How dare Rodgers give youth a chance and reward them with more game time.

Raheem needs to learn gratitude and respect. I understand that he wants to play in the champions league, I understand that he feels no emotional attachment to Liverpool and wants to further his career. Of course money is a major factor with every footballer, but he has gone below the belt by disrespecting the manager that gave him his chance and put so much faith in him.

@back - liverpool supporters have no problem when players we want do it to their clubs!. didn't hear anyone complaining about lallana and lovren last season.

08 Jul 2015 13:53:06
How dare Rodgers give youth a chance. Red-Rum are you delusional he has never given youth a chance except for when he has had no other alternative, Sterling, Flanagan, Ibe. don't kid yourself into thinking Rodgers gives loads of youngsters a chance.
How much of this bullshit did Southampton put up with from Lallana and Lovren? Hiding behind agents, giving multiple made up excuses, airing everything to the press, calling in sick to avoid having to show up. Do you know either Lovren or Lallana's agents names? Didn't think so. Bet you know Sterlings agent though. that's the difference.

08 Jul 2015 14:25:11
lallana and lovren did exactly what sterling is doing - there's no difference - you're just blinded because its liverpool its happening to. and i don't need to know an agents name to hear about their actions!

08 Jul 2015 14:26:02
Back! Give it a rest mate. Where did I say loads?

Red Rum

08 Jul 2015 14:39:04
Back!

Id imagine that is the case, but in all honesty the board are stupid letting him even carry on for now.

Should have gone at the end off last season.

08 Jul 2015 14:54:45
Ok Red-Rum name some youth he's given a chance to? Kenny gave Sterling his go. Ibe and Flanagan were used due to there being no other alternative.
Some youth he did give a chance to- Brad Smith, played once out of position and never seen again. Joao Teixeira-Substitute appearance where he did well and never seen again.
Dont be fooled into thinking Rodgers gives youth a chance and come on here trying to fool other people into thinking the same.

Lavers I agree I wanted him gone but it doesn't look like he will be removed before the start of the season now.

Okay starks tell me about the actions of both of their agents last summer? I can tell you all about Sterlings. Yes both cases were players forcing their way out of the club but the circumstances are much different. This is the point. Prove me wrong.

08 Jul 2015 15:25:53
Ask a southampton fan - i'm sure they will be happy to tell you :). the difference only comes from your subjective thinking

08 Jul 2015 17:27:05
Rodgers hasn't given any youth a chance.

Sterling got more game time because we didn't get Kono and ibe only came back because the board again wouldn't buy in January.

The more Rodgers job goes under pressure the less chance you have of seeing any kids playing.

Send these kids to championship teams and let's see what there made of
