I hate to say it but if we're honest, Man City deserved to win, they were the better team. The club just needs to be surgical in their changes during the summer to contend next season instead of mass overhauls like the past two.

How were they the better team when they failed to take their chances?
Aguero and Sterling both missed 1 on 1's with Mignolet. Had Mignolet saved the first goal, it would have been an entirely different match!

They weren't the better team. Mingo gifted them the goal while they had created next to nothing bar the long punt to Aguero that Mingo tipped on the post. From there, they had chances on the counter which will happen because you're chasing the game hence, you leave gaps in defence. They never outplayed us nor did anything special before their goal so NO, they weren't better than us. They won on pens. It happens so we move on.

I'll back u up on this one adz. Everyone knows every keeper does it but occasionally, just occasionally it's done so obviously it should be pulled up and I would say that would apply to the coutinho pen. It may very well have been saved had it been re-taken who knows. The ref appears to have a lengthy chat with the keepers before the shootout, if they're going to bother doing that they should pull up the ridiculously obvious ones. It's no conspiracy and maybe made not a blind bit of difference, but that one should have been re-taken.
