When I heard the finals would be on the 28th of Feb, I prayed Liverpool ill be in the final. When Liverpool reached the finals, I thought this would be the perfect birthday gift for me (my birthday was today) . But, I now realised that win, lose, or draw its more about seeing my team play. That's really what its all about. You support a team because you enjoy watching them play. And today I got to see 120 minutes of my team play The Beautiful Game. I got to see them work for an equaliser. I got to celebrate when they did. They gave me the gift of The Beautiful Game. Thank you Liverpool Football Club. Thank you Jurgen Klopp, that smile on your face before the shoot out started, made us realise what its all about. Seeing/ playing the game we love.

Absolutely brilliant. Well said. no negativity. No slaggin players off and who we should get rid of and who we buy etc etc. It's the beautiful game. some u win, some u lose.

Awesome post, Roller! Such a breath of fresh air to hear a fan be happy for his team win, lose or draw, lauding the mental toughness and the fighting spirit shown by his players to not give up and not quit. A sea change from some of the begat and pathetically shameful comments I've been reading, blaming players and coaches for us losing a game on PENALTIES, of all things.
