What I find really hard to understand is the fact we seem to have wasted approx 5weeks chasing a player who's club had said over and over again he is not for sale at any price!? Ed002 said this at the time so why have well paid, well established people at our club continued to chase a lost cause, leaving hardly anytime to consider alternatives? I am totally gob smacked to even begin to understand the logic.

The priority for title chasing sides is not to keep their best player, that's the priority of lesser teams.
