Thought I'd mention the strength of the competition and the rumours flying round with our rivals.
I myself have been a little concerned until I realised that none of these teams have massively strengthened their defence this year. Liverpool are the perfect example of a team with world class talent upfront that never won anything due to a dodgy defence, our 'fab four'from a couple of seasons ago was arguably one of the best attacking lines in world football but we won nout until we invested in our defence.
Players like Allison and VVD are going to be worth more points over a season. Yes our rivals may now score more with better attacking talent but Arsenal and United for example still have very poor defences, let's hope that our defensive record stays the same or improves on last year, if so then we could win the title without strengthing at all this window.

The mancs bought awb and after maguire. They concede less probably although I think there problems will be scoring not conceding. Arsenal’s front 3 tho they could be on a par with ours. This season could be great for the neutrals.

I like Arsenal's front three Scoure John, but come on now. Even if you exclude talent from the comparison their front three simply doesn't fit well. Pepe's presence will likely mean Aubameyang will have to play on the wing where he's nowhere near effective as he is up front.
And I agree with you Maximosa, the lack of defenders brought in by our rivals is reassuring. I'm hoping the improved squads further down the table result in Man City's defence actually being tested. If more clubs can perform like Wolves against City, we're in with a shot at the title.

AWB is an excellent defender! He makes them a lot stronger at the back.

Arsenal front 3 are potentially a handful for any defence to handle, but I prefer the work rate of our 3.
