Ed002,

not Liverpool related so I apologise, but what's your insight with the current court case going on in relation to City. The Mail have gone in hard with it today. Is there actual any evidence of them cooking the books as you see it?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what the Mail have said but they are an example of the reason Manchester City are delaying releasing documents as they see that the press will influence the arbitration tribunal if the documents are presented in the public domain. This is the same case which saw CAS overturn the UEFA ban. UEFA have every intention of trying to make the life of higher-profile English clubs as difficult as possible.}

Brief summary on what the Mail has said:

The mail were just revealing that there had been a 2 year investigation with the premier league behind the scenes. This is the first time that the court has allowed those who have attended to report on the matter.

The mail is also stating that Pinto has been given the freedom to aid the premier league in their investigative process as he has done a deal with the Portuguese judicial system to overturn millions of documents. The evidence Pinto does hold does in fact prove City cheated however obviously it is illegally obtained information. But Pinto's lawyers have said he is happy to support the investigation (no clue on whether he would be allowed) .

The mail also questions how City have made almost £600m more from commercial income than rivals like Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal etc.

Do we know when this investigation by the PL is likely to conclude?

{Ed002's Note - This is the same case that resulted in a 2 year ban issued by UEFA which was overturned by CAS and the Premier League are pushing to have evidence released. It is not "behind the scenes" and there are no charges at this time.}

Cheers for the info Ed002.

I'm guessing that the situation will end similarly to the last attempt to try and get Man City banned.
