I was sent that salah interview had a look and my makings and his body language is he’s leaving!
Anyone else seen it?

I’ve not seen it no, but it could literally be now he knows that Liverpool aren’t going to pay him what he deserves. I look at is if I was, in my company, a manager, done for many years and recognised as one of the best, and I could see my rival company with there manager also one of the best and was getting paid double, even triple, I would question that and want to be paid on par or maybe even go and join somewhere that would. Especially with a footballers career so short, I wouldn’t begrudge him, because I would be off like a shot for doubling my money from the place I work for. This guy has said he will stay, wants to stay, just wants pay parity for being recognised certainly at this moment as being in the top 3 in the world. I hope he signs, but if not, I will thank him for all he has done and we will move on and someone else, I am sure, we will be talking about be one of the best in the world.

Big, big BIG matches coming up this week : key match in the PL against our man (only) rivals, quarter final of the CL and semi-final of the FA Cup and the main (only) topic of ‘discussion’ is people just making stuff up about one of our players. Have to say it’s a bit disappointing.

What he was saying was pretty neutral to me. But if you want to use your advanced psycholgy degrees into play and start reading body language, skin tone, eye color, hair length and mustache cleanliness during the interview, then I can see how the agenda is being fulfilled.

@Jay, the interview I saw said it wasn’t the time to talk about it and there was #tuff going on behind the scenes. No different than most other contract negotiations.

If you want to find something bad in what he said that’s entirely up to, I think you and quite a few others are way, way over-analysing something that you aren’t involved in and, as such, lack valid context.

Personally I think focussing on the negatives, some real and a lot imaginary, is a strange thing to be doing at the moment. Coming up to a third of the way through April, we’ve won one competition and are very much alive and kicking in three others. I think it would be better to live in the moment and enjoy what we’ve got going - who knows what will happen in a season or two? Maybe we will be fighting for a Europa League Conference spot And that would be something to complain about.

One final thought, Salah was widely regarded as the best player on the planet on this forum at the start of January. Now people are talking about ‘ammo’ to use against him. Says more about the people firing the ammo to me.

Jay, let it go man. I don’t care about body language or any of that nonsense. Clearly, you do so if you are looking for something goo or bad then you will surely find it so carry on. Not arsed in the least bit.
