Latimer would be a cracking signing but rumours are he has already set his heart on BM and is playing down his contract.
Neves is Prem proven and would be a good steady addition to our midfield, and for me, Thiago is way more injury prone than Fabinho so Neves would be a great alternative to Thiago.

Neves would be a good signing, no injury issues, can play 6 or 8, good range of passing and is a real goal threat from about 30 yards out. Something which is lacking in our midfield.

Apparently Bayern Munich aren’t interested in him anymore, which could open the door for us. He is playing down his contract and while they may not want to let him go, if we offered enough money we would force their hand. The club may not like it but beggars can’t be choosers.

I really like Neves as well, but i’d be concerned about his lack of mobility and the fact that he isn’t perfect cover for Fabinho, which is what we should be looking for in a new midfielder.

I don’t know much to anything about some of the names touted as possible signings but it’ll be interesting to see what type of player Klopp adds, if any late business is done.
Klopp mentioned “the right player”.
We’ve got a good number of midfielders that are more technical (led by Thiago, personally I think that Elliott is shaping up to be his successor), then players whose primary strengths are breaking up play and mobility.
These strengths are not mutually exclusive, I should add, but their main assets.
That’s where I think we could do with an addition, a bit more physicality and mobility.
So, if anything is done, it’ll be interesting to see what Klopp is after.
Another technical player maybe tells us that the times they are-a-changing for the make-up and style of his midfield?
