Hi Eds, seeing as the Kalvin Phillips rumours are resurfacing and apparently Klopp is a fan. There seems to be issues, I read an Ed saying he has problems with his weight and I am sure I read somewhere he is not a great trainer and has a bit of an attitude problem. Has he always had these issues, or only since signing for City? got to be honest didn't watch him much. Seems strange that Pep and Klopp would both have an interest in the player and seem to rate him, to a point that Pep signed him, whilst he has these issues or do they see it as a challenge?
{Ed001's Note - he was fine under Bielsa but he got a lot of press in that time and he seems to have let it all go to his head.}

Did wonder if that might've been the case. Shame, as could have been a great talent. Maybe a new move could be what he needs, not saying to Liverpool, but who knows. :) Thanks Eds, appreciate all your work.
{Ed001's Note - usually when you need to change it requires bottoming out to make you refocus. Not sure a move will do that unless it is down the leagues.}

Ed1 - was watching Micah Richards segment where he talked about declining a 100k/ week 5-year contract at City when he was late 20s to basically be one of their homegrown players. He turned that down, but I do wonder where the motivation wanes when you're getting paid those sums to basically be a squad filler. Is this part of what has happened to Phillips perhaps?
{Ed001's Note - he was already showing signs before joining City. His weight had gone up there and his fitness had dropped leading to injury issues.}

I can’t think of a player right now that was excellent before having a sustained loss of form and then recaptured their form again.
