Still to be confirmed. But if Chelsea do wrap up both Lavia and Caicedo then it will feel like we’ve wasted the last couple weeks. Not embarrassed or overly cynical, but that outcome wouldn’t take away the disappointment of coming out empty handed after all that work.

We didn’t think he Lavia was worth the money and thought Caicedo was worth it. IMO, he and his reps. lied to us that they would join us in a bid to trigger Chelsea into bidding for him for the fee Brighton wanted, something Chelsea never did all summer and they even bid 48m for Lavia hence, they didn’t even think he was worth it either. Their whole transfer strategy here is shocking but who’s surprised?
For me, we didn’t tap anyone up here and did everything by the book so not embarrassed at all. Still have time to get people in so hopefully, the club is focussed on that. Really hope we beat those guys today, tho.
