I watched palace arsenal tonight to get a proper look at Doucoure. Never really noticed him before but with all the talk of him being a possible target thought I’d take a look. Some one posted below somewhere that he doesn’t seem to provide an angle for a simple pass and does look very slow. That was also my conclusion. definitely not the most mobile anyway. I know you can’t run the rule over someone in 90 minutes but he hardly filled me with any real confidence! ! But then I suppose on that logic after watching Caceido for half an hour for Chelsea you would come to the conclusion that he was an absolute clown. Hard to judge really but he is not someone who would excite me this close to the window closing. Rather play bajetic.

I personally think endo is perfect to allow bajcetic grow into the role. and problem with gravenberch for me is that he wants to start rather than fight for it. credit where it's due maguire rejected west ham coz he wanted to fight for place? sorry if that's incorrect. well who is gravenberch going to replace anyway? endo? he's a dm. this guy is not . macca and szobo? he would have to be a very good baller for that.

Topofthekops I was happy we was going for him because of all the hype same as Caicedo but after watching him last night my worries about Endo would be the same for him. With the way we play our number 6 can be left a little isolated and I think pace is a must more now than ever with VVD not being as commanding as he was. I’ve only really taken notice of Caicedo twice Sunday can’t really judge and the end of last season vs Newcastle where I thought he looked very average. If these are the best number 6 out there the Endo signing is making more sense now. My only concern is we don’t have a true backup to Endo I think Bajcetic might become one in time but at the moment an 8 seems better option for him. I do hope we stay clear of Gravenberch but I did not understand the Gakpo signing and for the price I think that’s been a great piece of business as long as Klopp gets him back upfront instead of midfield.

I am fine with us signing Doucoure as it is not my money and we raery spend frivolously, but I would put this out question there:
What is Palace sell us Doucoure for £70m and replace him with Kone for £40m? How would we feel?
I would also ask, do we need our no6 to be press resistant? If so, which of the two players is more press resistant?
Right now, I am leaning toward Kone in now and Andre in January. I am sure that will change again tomorrow.
