Just a bit of a fun question.
Completely understand if the Ed's don't want to post it.

Who in your opinion is the Mount Rushmore of LFC

For me

Paisley
Kenny
Gerrard
Shankly

Interested to hear others views from there own era/ understanding.

Agree1 Disagree0

Klopp and his front 3.

24 Sep 2023 21:06:09
Lijnders, Keita, Aqualani and Sean Dundee.

Or: Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish and Norbert.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Rigsby, if that Gerrard was one of the faces i would be planting the dynamite as we speak mate..

24 Sep 2023 20:57:55
Shanks, Bob and the King are a must. One from the likes of Liddell, Moran, Rush Gerrard to complete the set.

24 Sep 2023 21:36:11
For me Shankly started the revolution that was carried on by Bob and Kenny.
If I am choosing 2 managers and 2 players then I am choosing Shankley and Klopp with Kenny and Stevie, who both stood out for years.

24 Sep 2023 21:45:19
How could Gerrard make it above Jurgen.

Klopp is Shanks 2.0

Rafa be closer to it than Gerrard.

24 Sep 2023 21:56:59
I’ll go with @Rigsby’s four manager selection.

24 Sep 2023 23:02:56
And John Barnes.

24 Sep 2023 23:21:01
I think Ronnie Moran is a good call from Jude, tbh. Never wanted the limelight, but he was coach or assistant manager for 32 years under Shanks, Paisley, Fagan, Kenny, Souness and Evans.

I'd seriously consider him as the 4th man with Shanks, Paisley and Kenny.

Either him or Klopp, anyway.

25 Sep 2023 00:01:01
I just can't have Gerrard. I reckon he'd be there kissing his own mush half of the time. He wouldn't be in my Mount Rushmore of players!
If they had the likes of Tommy Smith or Souness up there, whatever it was carved out of wouldn't be as hard as the real thing.
Gerrard, my arse.

25 Sep 2023 00:06:45
Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish and Klopp.

25 Sep 2023 00:19:34
What about Peter Beardsley? If only because it'd be an improvement on his real life coupon.
I just jest, Redmen, he was a fabulous player in what was surely one of our greatest ever sides.
Barnes, Beardsley and Aldridge were just superb and ALMOST worth selling Rush for.

25 Sep 2023 02:03:32
Like him or not, Gerrard is Liverpool through and through. He was our best player in an era where we were really poor and he could have left and won even more with another club.

However, I would prefer the basis of our Rushmore to be on our managers instead of our players. So with thay, it will have to be Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish, and Klopp for me.

25 Sep 2023 07:57:36
Dracred I like that idea of just having managers, it makes more sense.

It's difficult for me to pick Klopp though as he is currently with the club. I think Benitez is definitely worth a mention as he not only won our 5th Champions League trophy but he also did a lot off the field too, especially concerning Hillsborough.

He was also held back by truly horrific owners.

25 Sep 2023 08:05:06
What does salah need to di before he merits consideration? He's won almost every single trophy for us and continues to break records.

Salah, Rush, Klopp, Shanks.

25 Sep 2023 08:27:50
If it is about managers then, what that football is Gerrard doing in this discussion, respectfully?

25 Sep 2023 12:05:56
Shankly
Klopp

Dalglish
Rush.

25 Sep 2023 13:33:19
Love it, just pick four people who you would have - it’s just for fun and you could pick four tea ladies if you want.

I’d give serious consideration for it being Shanks, Sir Bob, Uncle Joe, Reuben, Ronnie and Roy. Without them the club would have had a much different history over the past 60 years. There’s an old game about your ideal historical guests for a dinner party and to change the idea about a bit I’d love more than most things in the world to have had the privilege to listen to them in the boot room back in the day.

25 Sep 2023 14:41:23
For me, it has to be Hodgson, Rogers, Ruddick and Diouf.

{Ed025's Note - you left out Suarez there Elliott.. :)

25 Sep 2023 16:51:29
Managers:
Dalglish, Paisley, Shankley and Klopp

Players:
Dalglish, Souness, Rush and Hansen

The King so good he makes it in twice lol

Only way I'd have Gerard up there would be if it was a Prem League era type Rushmore, then:
Gerard, Salah, Fowler, Hyypia (leaving out Carragher I know but cannot not include Salah in this! )

25 Sep 2023 18:57:15
I know he's not everyone's favourite but John Henry needs consideration.

Saved the club from administration.
Klop, premiership, champions league, the only team to go toe to toe with city recently.

Stadium, training centre and just look at the quality of Klopps MK2 team,

25 Sep 2023 23:28:41
Managers I’d go Shanks, Bob, Kenny and Klopp
Players Kenny, Hanson, Barnes, Salah.
