On the parallels with United, sir alex being succeeded by david moise.
I generally believe we are in a much better position squad wise.
Sir Alex seemed to let the quality of the United squad dwindle, and was far from a great squad even though they won the league in that final year. It was probably more down to a great manager than a great squad winning that title. That team had run its coarse.
At Liverpool, the team is 3/ 4 of the way through being rebuilt and all the fresh faces are just coming into their prime.
We just need to make the right decision on who we choose to manage the club after the great man and we will be ok
Now, the emotion that is going to be on display for the remainder of this season is going to be epic! I can see something special coming that will be unforgettable.

Agreed. My Aussie wife who doesn't like any sport was a bit bewildered at my show of emotion once the news sank in. I can only imagine what it would be like to be in the crowd at the final home game.
I was a kid when shanks retired but older when Kenny stepped away. The feeling in the city was one of numbness and confusion. At least JK isn't springing an immediate bombshell.

OP in addition, Fergie was allowed to pick his successor and after PPep and Klopp rejected him, he picked Moyes. Big mistake esp. since Moyes was already struggling at Everton.

Klopp has rebuilt this team in a better position than he found it, another promise he kept so we are primed to keep progressing. It is up to the club to get the right manager (Xabi? ), get the DOF and all that sorted and we can keep it moving. Hopefully, we get it right.
