We do need a new keeper. We probably won't get one.
Out of all those names, Subotic is the only one I think would improve the team. Otherwise save your pennies LFC, there is no value amongst that lot.

{Ed002's Note - The picks - I would think that Begovic would be a great replacement for Bogdan who will likely be released - but he would want first team football. Kovalenko has a reputation that is growing and might be a good addition to the squad as one who would suit the kopflose huhn style of play preferred by Klipperty. Praet may well provide more versatility than others as he has the ability to play as a winger as well as an attacking midfield player and as I have explained there is serious interest from the club. N'Koudou and Zivkovic are both having an excellent season and the lady from Marseille says they cannot hold on the Nkoudou too much longer.}

It's really good to hear that someone independent really rates rossiter so highly as its not through rose tinted specs. Nice one ed.
Personally I'm not convinced that Begovic is the answer to our massive problems in goal, he was happy to join a club knowing he'd be number two at the peak of his career which gives places a huge question mark about his motivation and mentality, not to mention that he's not a world class keeper by any stretch of the imagination which is what we need if we have any ambition.
{Ed002's Note - Begovic is a very good goalkeeper and there is no question about his motivation. "World class" is an over used cliche popular amongst English soccerball fans who don't think through what they are typing.}

Begovic has already turned us down once and he was happy to become an understudy in his peak years (there was no way he could ever consider that he would be number one while Courtois is in place, unless there was injury), I'm just not convinced about a player who has effectively written off a year of his career to sit on the bench, he's clearly a better keeper than both Bogdan and Mignolet, although that doesn't appear difficult at times. Personally I just think there are better and younger options out there which would be better for the club long term as he'll be 30 next year.

Not sure I agree Mr Dennis. The fact that Begovic will be turning 30 is a positive in my eyes.
A "world class" keeper would be lovely but for me a reliable experienced keeper is exactly what we need while maybe using Ward in certain competitions.

Who are the better prospects than Begovic that are realistic signings for LFC?
Subotic and Begovic would be the only ones I'd go for in that lot. I think a CB pairing of Subotic and Matip will be very solid.
The likes of Sane and Götze are pipedreams but if we win the Europa then who knows?

Leno, Karius and Butland would all represent better and realistic options than Begovic. And all of them are young and have their best years ahead of them.
