It would have been possible if Liverpool had done the sensible thing and added a CM player and it would have got his wages and bonuses off the books - that would have been the benefit to the club. His agent continues to offer him around and there is some interest but I understand there is no firm offer to the player on the table at this time.}

Could you imagine the fallout if we’d let a midfield player go during what everyone keeps saying is a midfield crisis? Perhaps Klopp thought he could make a contribution for the rest of the season and from what I am seeing he is probably right.
We really need to stop this Keita witch hunt and try actually supporting the lad whilst he’s here. God knows we need him to be on form right now.
