To any of the eds please, seen a report saying that sterling may pay off one year of his contract, aparently 1. 7 million to give him more power over the club, I doubt this is true but could he actually do this, thanks eds

{Ed002's Note - Well Stevey you have stumbled over something called the Webster Ruling, I have explained it before but I am not sure where on the site it can be found. I should say it is really, really unlikely to happen, but as of mid December this year Sterling could indeed buy out the final year of his contract, effectively making himself a free agent at the end of next season. It would not allow him to talk with other clubs outside of the EPL in January though. This is why I have repeatedly stated that if he does not agree a new deal by the Summer I would expect the club to listen to offer - regardless of all of the nonsense spouted by Rodgers on the matter. But I would stress that the chances of Sterling taking such action are very slim at best. If his agent has even suggested this as an option, he needs better guidance. With the two other recent issuettes and the problems over the signing of the contract, I suspect that the club are getting pretty sick of him at this time. Typically clubs don't like this sort of thing happening and they certainly don't like it happening in the public domain - sadly Rodgers is happy to air all of the in house issues with anyone who will listen.}

Never thought this could happen, just hope he doesn't go down that rout we don't need anymore distractions at this time, thanks ed002

Hi eds,
Just to go slightly off topic.
If Rodgers is constantly airing club issues to the public, then why hasn't anyone told him to button it?
Doesn't the club have a communications director or some other kind or senior management that tells rodgers what to say and not say during these interviews? And if he's choosing not to listen to them, then surely he's getting constantly reprimanded?
Also, I know there have been a lot of comments about Rodgers possibly not being here after the season ends if we don't don't win FA cup or finish 4th, and whilst I wouldn't expect ex players to talk about that either, I don't read about it from local journalists or anywhere else.
Personally I wouldn't be to bothered if Rodgers wasn't lfc manager next year, and think we should move heaven and earth to get klopp.

{Ed002's Note - This has been done to death and I really don't want to say any more on the subject at this time.}
