Ed002 can we say pretty no chance we'll be able to get Hinicapie? Assume it would take a significant bid to get him or is he simply not for sale?

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed002's Note - Hincapie would be a great addition but without an exit it seems tough.}

1.) 30 Aug 2023 23:57:23
I'm not hearing a no from Ed so I've already bought the shirt, got to keep the premature reputation going.

2.) 31 Aug 2023 00:54:25
Schlotterbeck for me, but would be happy with either. Is Wirtz still looking likely to Bayern (future) surprised his name don’t get mentioned more frequently.

3.) 31 Aug 2023 04:56:56
Worth strikes me as one of those German players who ends up playing Bayern, it’s not a case of if he joins but merely when.

4.) 31 Aug 2023 06:57:43
With us only having 1 Non HG slot available i think a CB is a more pressing need. Would be happier with us signing Hincapie rather than Gravenberch.

5.) 31 Aug 2023 07:50:40
Neither Gravenberch and Hincapie would take up a Non HG spot due to their age, so we could sign both and another. (Not going to happen just what the art of the possible is)

6.) 31 Aug 2023 08:19:07
Premature. I just hope that Liverpool's transfer dealings aren't the opposite- where no-one comes at all! ?.

7.) 31 Aug 2023 08:32:27
Philips might be leaving to Celtic. Despite Klopp saying no departures, I’m hoping this means we might bring in another CB.

8.) 31 Aug 2023 08:53:59
Phillips is home grown though, so a replacement for him needs to be Home Grown. Ditto Gomez.

9.) 30 Aug 2023 23:58:22
Would you rule out Man Utd for Gravenberch Ed? Or are they still still interested?

{Ed002's Note - Their focus is on completing the transfer of someone else.}

10.) 31 Aug 2023 00:31:01
Let’s say Ed, hypothetically of course, if Nat Phillips was to go. Would the signing of Hincapiè be a little more realistic do you think?

{Ed002's Note - Please see my original answer.}

11.) 31 Aug 2023 09:27:07
I think Ed is spot on. with Hincapie and Gravenback, we really are suffering from Premature Speculation. I'll get my coat.

12.) 31 Aug 2023 09:39:02
Hincapie would be a luxury at this stage. BL will not let him leave without getting a replacement even though Xabi loves us.

13.) 31 Aug 2023 09:52:32
Do clubs work on transfer for only one player at a time Ed or do some clubs can work on transfer of more than one players at a time?

{Ed002's Note - No, typically the higher-profile clubs will work on several targets at one time.}

14.) 31 Aug 2023 11:31:46
Hi Ed002,

You said recently that Hincapie would likely not be ready to be a starter in the Premier League? Has that changed and he has made progress, or would signing him be more "one for the future"?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Piero Hincapie (CB) I cannot see interest of Nottingham Forest going anywhere - an option for West Ham. Scouted and rejected by Spurs. Probably not good enough to be a starter in the Premier League just yet. Open to a move to Liverpool as they look for cover. Tapsoba is still possibly leaving which means Bayer Leverkusen may hang on to him until next summer - if they sell late in the window there will be a significantly high expectation in terms of a fee.}

16 Aug 2023 20:25:30
E02 - sorry to ask. A few saying we've made a bid for Wataru Endo from Stuggart. A 30 year old Japanese defensive midfielder. Any truth? Seems a little odd.

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed002's Note - It does to me to, but Liverpool may know something the rest of Europe doesnt? Is he the felft-footed van Dijk replacement eveyone is so keen on?}

1.) 16 Aug 2023 21:14:42
We have found our next Christian Poulsen. This will be Schmadtke's legacy. Search by his first name gave me a local restaurant.

2.) 16 Aug 2023 21:40:27
£13m fee as well. On way for his medical. Hmmm.

15 Aug 2023 08:42:23
Hi Ed02. Are Crystal Palace still looking for back ups in case Olise and Doucore are sold? I was hoping the latter was a player Liverpool may push to sign?

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed002's Note - Crystal Palace have purchased the Olise replacement already. Doucoure have already rejected an offer for Doucoure and told the interested side he is not for sale.}

1.) 15 Aug 2023 10:07:42
We love an unobtainable target.

2.) 15 Aug 2023 11:33:32
But, Kalvin Phillips looks very available, Pelican ??.

04 Aug 2023 11:12:43
ED02 - Dewsbury Hall linked again. Assume this an older story and not looking at him now?

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed002's Note - No idea if it is an "old story" or not - but I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool.}

03 Aug 2023 13:32:09
Hi Ed02. Sorry if you've answered this but what chances Brighton move for Kelleher now it looks like Sanchez is off to Chelsea?

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has made clear he is not for sale although several sides are keen.}

Can any of the Eds or anyone else say where Connor Bradley and Nat Phillips are? Connor had a minor injury so i thought but absolutely no sign of him. Are we considering loaning him again (surely not) and as for Phillips, he's been missing all summer? Has he been injured, as well as being priced out of a move?

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed001's Note - I don't know why Bradley is not about, I haven't checked to see if he played for the under 21s, but if he didn't the injury must be worse than reported. As for Phillips, we have been trying to sell him.}

1.) 29 Aug 2023 19:28:50
Hasn't played for U21 or anything. No mention from anyone if injury is worse. Nothing on any website mentioning his injury.

I understand we've trying to sell Phillips but it's been months since being a squad. All very odd to me, especially if pricing him out of a move.

2.) 29 Aug 2023 20:07:31
Bradley isn't in the NI squad, and they're desperate for players, so just still be out injured.

3.) 29 Aug 2023 20:14:36
We are indeed Rugby Parker and he would be a starter for us at the minute so he is definitely on the injured list ?.

15 Aug 2023 19:51:25
ED01 Brilliant match review. Best yet in fact (he says 1 game in) . I meant from what I've seen in previous seasons. You need to somehow get this to Klopps in tray. I almost got had a panic attack reading it. It's the most bizarre set of tactics I've ever seen. It's actually limiting our attacking play. It's square pegs and round holes. It's self sabotaging our team.

Only solution I can see is getting in a new coach who can have a word with Klopp.

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate and I agree a new tactical input is needed on the coaching staff. It worries me that they have gone this far with the system without spotting how bad it is.}

1.) 15 Aug 2023 20:26:41
Where can I find match review. Unable to find it.

{Ed025's Note - it should be on the main page by now Praveen. If not it will be shortly mate..

2.) 15 Aug 2023 20:46:18
Very negative though and I've had enough negativity over the past few days.
So, triggering my inner Klopp, very good start, and then a strong finish by the younger players to the game.
Elliott in particular looked like a man with something to prove. Hopefully he can continue in that vein.
First 25 and last 15 to Liverpool, the bit in between to the Chels.
I thought that if we'd got that second goal, we'd have taken them to the cleaners.
Chelsea were treading a very fine line early on, so Klopp has to be given credit for that.
The Liverpool goal was also as fine a team goal as I've seen from any of his Liverpool side, beautiful football.
Two or three quality additions and we are most definitely back in business.

3.) 15 Aug 2023 21:13:05
Not a huge fan of the system and can't remember which game we started using it but over the last 20 league games we've got more points than anyone bar City. there's still square pegs in round holes but results wise we've been doing well.

4.) 15 Aug 2023 21:25:24
I’d say it was the best review since the Southampton one.

5.) 15 Aug 2023 22:14:05
Forgive my ignorance but didn’t we fully adopt this system for the home game against Arsenal? Aren’t we unbeaten since then, 9 wins and 3 draws.

6.) 15 Aug 2023 22:25:37
History tells us Klopp will not drop this tactic until we're out of all comps. We better buckle in.

7.) 15 Aug 2023 22:26:58
Diàz did fade but he does that a lot. I'm glad someone else has noticed because I was starting to think it was only me.
Good point about Szob, too. I wanted to see him further forward and we needed him further forward because we needed some midfielders on the pitch. He was too deep though. He and MacAllister need to be further forward and we need protection for the back four.

8.) 15 Aug 2023 21:53:22
Great piece, Ed01 esp. your first few paragraphs about this shambolic system we are playing. It's ironic how other teams use it and get smoked in transition, same thing that happens to us BUT Klopp can't see it. For the life of me, I have n idea why Klopp is persisting with this system. Since Spurs last season, I said we would suffer in this system due to the gaps it leaves when we lose the ball. How Klopp cannot see this is beyond me. Play Trent in midfield along with a Thiago or a new DM and release Mac10 to do damage further forward and we will be cooking esp. with the forwards we have. And for the shoe-horning of Gakpo instead of Jones, only Klopp can tell us how and why he thought that was a good idea. We are overcomplicating things way too much, IMO.

Also like you (Im currently rewatching the game and he iss till useless), how the football did Diogo Jota stay on that pitch as long as he did? He was absolutely atrocious and as Benzema said about Vinny Jnr to Fernand Mendy at half time in a agme in that video, "Bro., don't pass the ball to this dude, man. I swear on my mother's life, he's killing us out there". That's how I feel. Darwin or Gakpo should have started while Jones should have srated in midfield to support Robbo or Trent. I hope we change and go to a system that suits the players we have cos we have a good team that with a couple of additions and a system that suits the players, we could cook this season.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Oli.}

9.) 15 Aug 2023 22:22:12
When is Ed going to post that Southampton review anyway?

10.) 16 Aug 2023 05:32:57
Good review, although I still feel Macca is a decent option in the deeper role even if his ideal position is further forward.

He just needs another player alongside him as he’s not enough of a specialist CDM to play it solo (and we asked him to do it in a team setup that would ask a lot of the best in the world! )

{Ed001's Note - I disagree, he is clearly out of his depth there and wasting his ability to play through balls. It is a move that should only be done in cases of desperation ie an injury crisis. There was no need to do it in this match.}

11.) 16 Aug 2023 08:10:20
SGred, Klopp is overcomplicating things with the way he is doing things like persisting with this wretched system, with Mac10 playing a DM role not suited to his talents, shoehorning Gakoo as a midfielder whereas he is superb up too and wasting Darwin on the bench in favor of the atrocious Jota in the CF position. And it’s starting to get on my darn nerves, tbh.

12.) 16 Aug 2023 10:21:24
I agree with the overcomplicating things bit. Inverting Trent and playing Macca as sole CDM without any support was bad enough, but Gakpo was the final straw…. love him but he’s a forward. There was no need with Trent and Jones both capable of playing in midfield and just putting Gomez in at RB. ?.

13.) 16 Aug 2023 09:31:28
Wretched and atrocious, Oli?
I didn't think you approved of this sort of behaviour.

15 Aug 2023 11:06:24
ED01 - one for you mate. Do you agree we should consider a change of formation, if we can't get the players we need? Play 4-2-3-1 (no hybrid system) Ali, Bradley, Konate, VVD, Robbo, Trent and Mac, Salah, Szobo, Diaz and Nunez or Gakpo up top. In other words have Trent and Mac in double pivot. Thiago and Jones could do the same.

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed001's Note - I understand what you are saying, but not for me unless it is Thiago or possibly Jones playing alongside Trent. Mac Allister clearly is clueless in the role and should be playing further forward where he excels.}

1.) 15 Aug 2023 11:59:57
Leeroyoftherovers, Mac10 was wasted in that role vs Chelsea and here is your best example. It was his brilliant raking pass to Salah that opened up Chelsea for the Diaz goal. Now imagine him doing that not from deep but from further forward close to the strikers? Exciting, I know.

Outside what of what the Ed has said, we need a recognised DM which is the anchor of any variation of a Klopp team or system, IMO. The fact that we went into that game w/ o a DM was not ideal at all and it cannot continue. That is just what it is, IMO.

2.) 15 Aug 2023 12:00:14
Thanks Ed. We need to do something. Bit of a double whammy at the moment. Need 2 or 3 players and our style of play is going to cause an increase in goals conceded.

3.) 15 Aug 2023 12:55:32
OilRed - I do agree. I was really just looking at options, assuming we don't sign anyone. I don't think anyone in the squad is equipped to play the number 6 role, hence me suggesting play 2 together.

4.) 15 Aug 2023 13:42:40
Macca was a little bit hung out to dry against Chelsea though Oli. He played about two thirds of his games for Brighton in a 2 man pivot with a 10 ahead of him, and the other third was as the actual number 10. So it was never going to suit him playing basically as a lone No.6 with Gakpo and Szoboszlai. I mean Szobo was clearly trying to tuck in alongside him but he was just not suited to it at all and kept getting drawn towards the ball leaving a big hole.

5.) 15 Aug 2023 14:15:19
Agree MK, I feel Macca can do it with a proper midfield partner alongside.

6.) 15 Aug 2023 17:46:33
MKS, indeed. As I mentioned, he was wasted in that position and needed to have played further forward ideally to get the best out of him. He wasn’t helped with Klopp shoe horning Gakpo in the 8 on the left who by no fault of his, had one of the worst games in a red shirt and I have no idea how Klopp could say he can perform there. Either it was an answer to shut down the question or he really believes it. If he dies believe it then, it ain’t looking good if he persists with it, imo.

I agree that Mac10 played in a double pivot with either Caicedo or Gilmore next to him and even tho Szobo tried to come close to him like Gakpo did at times, it’s not in their game. A DM is a must, no doubt about it.

Now All that being said, I thought Mac10 played well under the circumstances and was involved in the move in a big way that led to the Diaz goal with that raking pass to isolate Salah with Colwill. Further forward esp vs parked buses, he will be awesome.

30 Jul 2023 16:57:16
Seems clear to me we need a left sided centre back more than another midfielder. We do need both but if we only have money for 1, I'd get a centre back who's comfortable bringing the ball out. Robbo looks a little lost playing in that position. ED01 - I reckon you agree but worry is i don't think there is anyone good enough we can afford or are available.

Leeroyoftherovers

{Ed001's Note - there are a few good ones, it is just whether they are affordable or not. Gvardiol, Bastoni, Colwill and Ignacio stand out but there are others such as maybe Kilman.}

1.) 31 Jul 2023 07:24:05
Bastoni looked a great player in last seasons champions league ed1 . All 4 you mention their Improve us no doubt .

27 Jul 2023 20:50:37
Folks please tell me to pipe down if needed. Is it just me that thinks we're making a meal out of this transfer window and lots of changes behind the scenes not helping? I think we're also paying the price for Klopp keeping hold of players too long and worse still the club paying high wages to players who don't deserve it. I think we'll have to show patience this season and hope Klopp can work some magic.

Leeroyoftherovers

1.) 27 Jul 2023 21:02:16
For me it’s the worry that so many midfielders have left including defensive ones and we have only bought in 2 attack minded ones in. Coupled with that Baj is only a teenager with no sign of any other DM and now Chelsea are pushing into Lavia, who also isn’t one to sit there like Fabinho or Hendo. Also got me the drop off after Virgil and Konate in defence is a concern.

2.) 27 Jul 2023 21:07:36
I share your concerns Daretodream. I think we've left ourselves too much to do. However, i think we score a mega amount of goals this season. So it will at least be exciting albeit stressful ha.

3.) 27 Jul 2023 21:29:52
I've always given Klopp a bit of slack on that front, there's been this scenario in my head of his time at previous clubs where the big boys, namely Bayern swoop in and take his best toys. that's not an excuse for letting this team stagnate, but just the reasoning for sleeping on the job last season.

4.) 27 Jul 2023 21:32:22
I think more action is needed mate yes. Many players short and we’re going out on the tour now.

5.) 27 Jul 2023 21:18:49
Really quite chilled about it all and excited for the new players.

6.) 27 Jul 2023 21:23:42
Think your overreacting to be honest mate we aren't even half way through the transfer window yet. In an ideal world everyone wants everything done and dusted before pre season even starts but if that was always the case then what would be the point in the window staying open beyond that point I'm sure we aren't the only club that have a ton of business to do.

IMO this is probably the craziest transfer window I can remember so there's allot that will still happen for and against us and it's now just a part of the game so sit back and enjoy the ride.

7.) 27 Jul 2023 21:25:53
Well so far, we've replaced a terrible player and a constantly injured player with two good ones. If we can get Lavia over the line to replace Fabinho before the season kicks off, I think we've done okay in midfield. My only reservation is that Lavia is a bit young to be going straight into Fabinho's role, although he will grow into a fine player over the next season or two. I would like another decent allrounder, which we're apparently looking for.

Defence is a bit more of a worry, and I'd be a bit concerned going in with Matip, Gomez, Virgil and Konate as the center back options.

Also we need to nail down what system we're using. Looks like the hybrid inverted wingback is here to stay, which I'm lukewarm on.

8.) 27 Jul 2023 21:48:24
I really don’t think klopp can 100% take the blame 50/ 50 is say with klopp and the players as we had too many players not playing well at various times last year and some injuries also . But the need for an addition was their he ignored it but the drop off was not to be expected the way it unfolded

Hence the major culling of the midfield.

9.) 27 Jul 2023 21:51:58
There’s over a month to go in the window so still plenty of time.

But only 2 weeks to go until the league starts.

Last season showed what getting off to a bad start can do for a season.

Best case our incoming business is done before the Chelsea game but it’s just a case of wait and see.

10.) 27 Jul 2023 22:01:28
I'm completely chilled. More than happy to gut the midfield and just ride the wave of bedding new players in, how are they supposed to get settled and up to speed if you don't play them?

Personally think fans are as fickle as ever, crying to overall the midfield all season and now it has happened they're complaining?

By all means be frustrated that we didn't start this sooner, but the reality is we needed to free up space in the squad and the wagebill and we had had an aging, injury prone, expensive midfield who have done a fantastic job over the years now need to move.

If we bring Lavia in and a CB I'll be thrilled, bring an experienced midfielder in to help and I'll be over the moon but I'll live otherwise.

11.) 27 Jul 2023 22:12:07
Thanks all. Some really balanced views. I've taken my chill pill and going to trust Klopp to fix things and other players, like Trent, taking on more responsibility! Onwards and upwards!

12.) 27 Jul 2023 22:30:45
The thought of just the one additional midfielder coming in fills me with concern.
A couple of injuries to that group and we'd be in trouble imo.
A pacey defender would be most welcome too, though I'm not confident that we'll get 3 in, as nice as that would be.

13.) 27 Jul 2023 22:41:19
Pipe down.

14.) 27 Jul 2023 22:44:02
I personally wouldn't have any problems giving Lavia a starting berth from the first game of the season.
Theres risks with it of course but if he looks like he needs help at times then Im sure the management will be able to deal with it.
He may be 19 but the potential is clear to see, playing in what is still a team littered with quality footballers, under a coach clearly hungry to make up for last season.
Sounds like just the sort of thing i watch football for.

15.) 28 Jul 2023 00:04:03
There's an old saying there's no substitute for experience and although we are adding a world cup winner this transfer window has me bricking it for next season.

16.) 28 Jul 2023 04:37:18
There’s also an old saying that if you are good enough you are old enough.

I think a lot of concerns expressed to date might well be addressed before the end of the transfer window, at least if the club have taken on the lessons learned last summer and they have an achievable plan for where they want to be at the end of the window.

17.) 28 Jul 2023 06:07:06
If Fabinho goes out of all the players that have left only him and Henderson really played last season. Ox did not play a lot Naby was injured just about all season Bobby seemed to play a few games get injured play few games get injured but we have Gakpo now so he would be behind him.
Fabinho was the only Dm Henderson just covered for him but Mac Allister can do that. So if we sign Lavia or another Dm our midfield will be a lot stronger than last season that was just carrying lots of passengers on massive wages.
Once we have one more midfielder in that should do us unless Thiago leaves then we could do with one more. Then we can move on to signing a cb.
Apart from Arsenal don’t think anybody has moved to fast in this window it’s like you are just waiting for one deal to start loads off.

18.) 28 Jul 2023 06:46:08
Massive risk involved. The 2 new midfielders have never played at Liverpools level, Bajcetic has played a handful of games (2 at DM) and as per usual Liverpool fans are putting him up as the next Pirlo. Thiago will need to stay fit (he hasn’t yet), Jones will need to KEEP the form he had at the end of the season which for me is debatable and Elliott needs to improve in the midfield spot, hopefully he does?.

{Ed025's Note - when you say they have never played at liverpools level irish.... MacAllister is a World Cup winner mate..

19.) 28 Jul 2023 07:54:59
The obsession with Lavia's age, it means there'll be ONE teenager in the side surrounded by loads of experience, hardly O'Learys"babies"is it? . Klopp has always had the balls to throw young players like Trent, Sahin, Goetze and Hummels in and look how they fared. Forget age, the kid has the talent and adds dynamism that we were severely lacking last year.

20.) 28 Jul 2023 08:41:23
If we were only making minor changes to the squad we would only have seen minor improvement at best. If we want to get back to the top we have to take a risk, I'm excited to see what unfolds. We're doing the right thing

What's the alternative? Keep hold of all the old lads, bring in one or two new faces and finish 4th at best? Sounds tedious.

21.) 28 Jul 2023 09:01:34
I think that's a combination of the past couple of seasons, really.

We should have reinforced last summer, because it was pretty obvious we were lacking. The big difference now is that we've really been forced into it - we bought well in MaCallister and Szoboszlai, but then we lost two very experienced players in Fab and Hendo.

I wonder whether Lavia (if he is signed) would be the last of the transfers, though. Surely we'd be repeating the same mistakes that we'd made previously? - we were caught short in defence a couple of seasons back due to injuries and it's important we don't put ourselves in the same risky position again. I do think we need 2 more in midfield and a defender still.

Even so, I'm pretty relaxed about the season, too. I think we're going to be a serious threat going forward and I'm really excited to see how Mac and Dominik affect our play. I've got a sneaking feeling that Jota and Nunez are going to have a great season, especially.

My biggest concern is the defence. A couple of injuries and we are seriously light, so I really hope we do bring someone in.

22.) 28 Jul 2023 09:45:17
There’s also an old saying “you win nothing with kids”.
Spoken about Man Utd’s Neville, Scholes, Butt, Giggs and Beckham.

We all know what happened there.

23.) 28 Jul 2023 08:45:35
That made me laugh Ed25.

24.) 28 Jul 2023 08:52:55
Yeah 25 I know that but I’m my opinion International football doesn’t hold a candle to the cut and thrust of the PL mate or any other big European league to be honest.

{Ed025's Note - I think the World Cup is the pinnacle of football Irish but I do get what you mean mate..

25.) 28 Jul 2023 12:08:52
McAllister will be fine. He played at Brightons level last season and they ended up one league place behind us. It’s not like he was playing for Everton.

26.) 28 Jul 2023 14:38:34
Spot on, Ron. OP, Im chilled and excited for this new direction we are embarking upon.

27.) 28 Jul 2023 23:28:55
Mac Allister was oozing class all season for Brighton, plus he shone in the World Cup - surely people watched some Brighton matches? They were fantastic to watch and Mac Allister was their talisman.

From one Irish guy to another, get over your fears @IrishRover and get excited about this guy, he's going to be magic ?.

Ed002 - sorry to ask. Looks like Grav should be confirmed tonight regardless of Fulham and Bayern not agreeing to let Paulinho go. Are Liverpool working on anyone else? A defender be nice or Salah replacement if we unfortunately agree to a ridiculous high offer.

{Ed002's Note - Not that Ian aware.}

Ed002 - do you think Liverpool will be able to resist an even higher offer than this? I doubt we'd get anywhere this number next summer but too late in the day to sell now.

{Ed002's Note - I thiink everything will be in the hands of the player and his representative either way. The huge issue is that there is no time to replace him with a high-end solution that would suit Klopp et al, and jumping in for Bakayoko or similar is likely high risk.}

ED002 - definitely a view premature problems with our fans. As soon they see a rumour, you see the done deal message. Wait for the lean was the old saying. I do respect your patience with us lot. Anyway we signed another defender yet? Ha.

Not reading this anywhere. Still think he goes to Man U and probably on deadline day.

Love this post hailstones. I hope real fans appreciate what this lad is doing. I love him as a player. These type of players do the graft with calmness and strength on the ball. This let's our forwards excel hence us scoring at least 3 most games.

Lose the fear and start battling. Most players don't tackle these days. It's about being positioned better, which will improve, working with Klopp. For me he looked like Gini in the way he uses his body to spin players. He looks a powerful runner and looks composed. An excellent debut all things considered.

Great read as always. I see a huge amount of potential in this team. This is, providing we stop messing with tactics. We have lots of goals in the team but clean sheets should be a priority. I genuinely think we got 85-90 plus points if we just keep formations simple.

{Ed001's Note - I agree, I think this side is good enough to challenge for or even win everything if we get it right.}

You more interested in results or performances? Completely new set of midfielders, being down 10 men, playing a midday game straight after international breaks, missing Trent, VVD. I'll take 13 points from our first 5 games. Agree on the hybrid stuff but it worked like a treat against Villa. So as long as Klopp is flexible with it, i now think we'll be ok.

Does enjoy the potential in this player. Decision making will improve with experience and working with Klopp. Mane and Salah's numbers weren't that good before they joined. To compare him to anyone is absolutely pointless. Let's see in 2 years and we could have a worldy on our hands.
