Red Lenin I was thinking before the game we would miss Lucas badly but Joe Allen didn't let the side down today he put in a good performance well done to all the lads.

Lucas should always be the first choice, but Allen played really well, if it shows one thing, it's that Gerrard shouldn't walk back in to the side as he is too slow now to fit in to this system. Still can't believe I'm praising Allen, have to pinch myself!

Allen was superb today Lucas has been huge for us this season competition for places is what we've lacked till now.

Gerrard should be nowhere near that team at CM because as things stand now, he would be ranked dead last in the pecking order, IMO.

Lucas has been quality for us this season, but if Allen keeps playing like he does today, maybe he will end up replacing him? Lucas was hated when he started and turned into a fan favourite, could this happen with Allen?? I think he has a bit of pace to him! Should work on his dribbling might help him out in a few occasions!
